What did you name your Hero/Heroine/Rival?

Blue: ARIA/ARX (hero)
Yellow: Aria/Arks (hero)
Silver: Air/Kris (hero)
Crystal: Aura/Jon (heroine)
Sapphire: Hana-/Kasu (heroine)
Sapphire: Hana-/PoryZ (heroine)
Emerald: Aura/Branni (heroine for the rest of the games)
Leaf Green 1: Lumina/Barry
Leaf Green 2: Lumi XiX/Kanin
Diamond: Hana-/Roy
Pearl: Mina/Barry
Platinum JAP: Hana-/クの牙牙-
Platinum ENG (still waiting for it to arrive by mail): Aura/Roy

Some explanations: Hana is my personal nickname, and Aura, Lumina, and Aria are all characters in one of my fanfics.

Me = Hei Hei (because heiheipig wouldn't fit) or Neo
Rival = Random name that someone on the street tells me. Or Sum Kid.

I always name it Jacob, which is my name. My rival changes... often a lot XD; but I usually name it Josh because I tend to have a lot of friends and rivals in rl named Josh, but for Platinum I took a twist and named the rival after my best friend Zhako.

If I play as Brendan, I usually name him Jerry. Why? Because...I really don't know!

Years ago I thought up of a fanfic that really didn't begin...and probably never will. The characters in the fanfic were given these really weird names that came from me spending too much time with the Baby Names website.

Pearl
Heroine: Alice
Hero: Edward (no relation to the Twilight series whatsoever, okay?)
Rival: Victor
To me, the names seem to suit them. I really don't know why.

I am me, Sam and the Rival is my brother :p Either that or my friend...

Although I admit to sometimes just doing the classic , "Aaaaaaa"

I always use my real name "Felita" to my name :D
but in yellow I used "RED" and rival "BLUE"
and in silver I used "RUBY" and rival "MAY" I trought he was a girl >.>;
in r/s/e rival is brendan, in fr/lg, rival name "RED" In d/pt I name my rival "WILSON" my cousin's name. he is also my big rival =P

Every single game except for the Yellow version, I always named my hero after my real name (James). In Yellow version, I always named my hero Ash just because the game was based on the anime more than the other versions.

Metal: Ash and Peter
R/S/E: May and Brendan
FR/LG: Kuri and Gary
D/P: Don (lol spelled her name wrong) and Chris
(Dont have Platinum yet.)

I'd name it all hero: Dan
and
Rival: Ran.

I usually name my heroine Alex, my IRL name.
But for Platinum, I named her Dawn, since it's the heoine's name in the series obviously.
I have never used a male character in any of my games.
I always name my rival Jake.

On platinum my char is called Noctis and rival is called Reno,
both are final fantasy characters.

I most always name the hero RED, which it seems a lot people do. :/ As for the rival, I usually went with one of the default names.

In everything after the Red/Blue days, I'm Bailey and I pick the female character (exception being G/S, but I was still called Bailey). It's the name of my oldest RPG character who I just can't let die, so even though she is out of all the online RP's I'm involved with, she's immortalized in my pokémon games.

In Red/Blue, I was Harry (a version of my nickname) and my rival was always Rob, my cousins name. In Yellow, I was Ash and my rival was Gary (what else?!)

My rivals are usually named after friends in real life, but D/P and in the future, Platinum, my rival is named Barry - he looks like a Barry, and it's my husbands name.

I've always named the hero after myself and my rivals before Gen 4 after my brother. Now I name my rival after my friend who has blonde hair and is highly energetic just like Jun.

So far I named my hero KING on my new Pokemon Pearl game because I thought of the name from my username on here.

Recently started a game in the Fire Red hack "Pokemon Generations" (can be found in the Sideshow Showcase).
I figured I would bring an automotive rivalry to life in game.
I named my Character "Fiero" after the Pontiac Fiero.


Meanwhile, I named my Rival "Mr. 2" as a reference to the Fiero's biggest rival, the Toyota MR2, and as a reference to the fact my rival will always lose to me, so there's no confusion about what the better sports car is. While the MR2 was in production from 1984 til 2005, and the Fiero from 1984-1988, the Fiero sold more cars in its short run than the MR2 did through its ENTIRE life WORLDWIDE.

Considering how old this is, let's go ahead and lock the thread. We're free to re-create it, though, if we choose!
