Jack In | Battle Routine, Set | Execute

    [a id]jack_in[/a id]

    Jack In:

    Background:

This Roleplay is set in the Megaman Battle Network universe. In this world the internet has been intricately merged with everyday life. Everything, ranging from your oven, TV, car, or virtually any type of electronic is connected to the web. Due to the complex nature and how high internet integration has become, a special type of program was created. These programs are known as Net Navigators, or NetNavis for short. NetNavis are true AIs, capable of navigating and processing the massive amount of data that now plagues the internet. The sheer amount of information that is processed can often lead to the discovery of viruses, which requires the NetNavis to delete them as they could potentially harm the real world by infecting real world objects. The need for specialized operators to routinely perform Virus Busting inspired the government to form a group specifically to stop cyberterrorism and maintain order on the net, known as the Official NetBattlers. They policed the net as well as they could, and for the most part, they were effective in their work. Then a group known as World Three slowly crept into the spotlight.

World Three was a cybercrime syndicate obsessed with destroying the internet and reverting the world back into a time without the technology, effectively crippling the world. They were led by the megalomaniac Dr. Wily, a man known for both his intelligence and destructive tendecies. He led World Three to nearly accomplish their goals several times, and even pulled the strings behind another incident involving the net mafia, Gospel. Eventually Dr. Wily was stopped by a kid named Lan Hikari and his NetNavi Megaman.EXE. With Wily's ambitions dampened, World Three disbanded and the net was peaceful for a time. After this event, though, the roleplay takes a different route than the canonical path established in Battle Network 6. Dr. Wily never reforms his ways and secretly recreates World Three after rekindling his passion for destruction.

    Story and Premise:

In an attempt to prevent anymore major acts of cyberterrorism, SciLab Academy was formed. SciLab Academy is a prestigious vocational school that prepares young operators for lives in the various technological fields provided by the school's parent commpany, SciLab. It is headed by some of the greatest minds in the business, such as Dr. Yuichiro Hikari, Dr. Mikhail Cossack, and Mr. Famous. The academy has also been known to bring in various ace NetBattlers to aid in their respective field. The two most well-known NetBattlers that have been brought in before are Lan Hikari and Eugene Chaud. They are best known for being the operators of Megaman.EXE and Protoman.EXE, respectively.

In addition to the studies that SciLab Academy has been known to encourage, they promote various activities in accordance with the Official NetBattlers. Many of the students that attend the academy partake in side jobs and missions on the behalf of the Official NetBattlers, and some students have even been known to be Official NetBattlers before they enrolled. Most of the work that the academy has students perform is safe to a certain extent, allowing them to take on increasingly difficult tasks as they prove their abilities to the staff and Officials.

Even as SciLab prepares the next generation of NetBattlers to combat cyberterrorism, Dr. Wily plots his revenge. He has been gathering the best of the best for the rebirth of World Three, waiting for the right moment to strike. Rumors suggest that Wily has been recruiting ex-World Three members along with seeking for any promising operators to fulfill his needs. Reports have also been recieved that several known cyberterrorists have escaped from prison.

Viruses have recently been more abundant in various surrounding countries, like Netopia and Netfrica, as well. The recent surge of viruses in these allied countries inspired the Official NetBattlers to send their ace NetBattler, Eugene Chaud, to investigate. The abscence of such a strong public figure effectively left a large majority of Electopia in "inferior hands," as Chaud describe it. He feared that it was a ploy to remove him from where the real danger was to occur. The Officials assured him that if anything would come up that they would be able to handle the danger. Reluctantly, he did as ordered, leaving for Netopia.

The Officials had plans already set in motion, just in case something did occur while Chaud was in Netopia. Their plans involved a certain individual that had been experienced in dealing with cyberterrorism before. This individual had access to a far greater resource pool than one of their other options, Lan Hikari. The Official NetBattlers gave strict guidelines to their confidant that they should not go through with the plan unless an act of major cyberterrorism occurred. In exchange for this unknown individual's cooperation, the person was given certain data from two previous incidences that occurred several years ago. With the terms for their agreement settled, the secret Electopian security plan was founded.

    You:

You are a young operator who, for one reason or another, has been enrolled in SciLab Academy, a school for the most promising programmers, junior scientists, and operators. Regardless of which of these fits you, you have a Navi and PET of your own. As our story begins you will all be students going to your first day at the academy, and as some of the world's most promising operators you will be involved in more than you could ever predict.

In your efforts to master the ways of the operator, you will attend classes, perform missions, Virus Bust (fight/destroy viruses with your NetNavi), and may even run into enemy NetNavis. Classes range from a list of subjects, mostly founded on programming your Navi, Virus Busting, and NetBattling (dueling other players and NPC's NetNavis), all in preparation for the extracurricular missions that await you. As previously mentioned, there are missions that you are able to perform. Most of these missions reward the operator handsomely and some even reward rare battle chips that would otherwise be expensive or unattainable.

Take any battle beside a controlled test against a friend or in a class seriously, if you are reckless your Navi may be permanently deleted. If your Navi is deleted your character will have to get a hold of a new Navi and basically start from scratch in programming them.

There are external missions on non-story progressing days that can create special opportunities for players should they take part in them. One such example would be the rare virus chips. If players are able to complete one of the virus quest lines they recieve a virus chip based on the mission line they completed.

Statistical aspects of NetNavis are influenced by their Operators, through experimental programming. Stats, like HP and Buster Power, can be affected by modifying the Navis coding. Often times, these skills are learned in class, but some Operators are known for being able to program fairly well. Horrible malfunctions can arise, though, from a person who doesn't know what they are doing when altering their NetNavi's coding. Bugs tend to arise with a numerable list of negative effects, such as having their primary weapon disabled or having their health constantly degenerate while Virus Busting. The basic stats are: HP, Buster Power, Buster Speed, and Buster Charge. In addition, NetNavis with sword-type weapons as their default weapon will automatically have a maxed out Buster Speed. Operators will only be able to actively program their Navis between chapters or during downtime, as it is a time consuming process and requires one's full concentration. (The Navi's new stats should be previewed to the GM(s) before finalizing to make sure it is not too big a jump.)

    Key Terms:

Cyberworld: Technology has become integrated so heavily with almost every aspect of normal life that now just about any machine contains it's own cyberspace. It is so much more grand and expansive than the original internet that it may as well be a world all it's own.

PET: A PErsonal Terminal, is a handheld device that can access almost any stationary machine with it's jack. Every PET contains a NetNavi, and when one is jacked into a machine it sends the Navi in to affect the cyberworld. A skilled enough practitioner can also hack other device through a PET but this is obviously illegal in most situations as well as very complicated without a fitting Navi for the task.

NetNavi: A Net Navigator, often called a Navi for short, is a virtual entity that exists in the cyberworld, they are an Operator's way of interacting with the Cyberworld. They have personalities just like any human, and their appearances and abilities are as varied as anyone could imagine. Many of them don't even look very similar to humans. Normally when just moving about the net or a machine's cyberspace Navi's are in complete control with only vocal orders or suggestions from their Operators, but during NetBattles and Virus Busting an Operator takes almost direct control of their Navi for the duration of the battle.

Operator: Anybody who owns a PET and operates a Navi through it.

NetBattles/Virus Busting: When Navis attempt to delete viruses to protect what ever devices or programs they may damage it is reffered to as "Virus Busting" A NetBattle is when two Navis battle, this can be either a recreational battle with no real danger, or a "Safeties Off" Battle where the loser is heavily damaged if not outright deleted.

Official NetBattler: People who have been chosen by the government to police the Cyberworld in one capacity or another. From D-B Officials generally just patrol about their designated areas and try to keep order and stop any crimes from taking place. Ace Officials (A or S rank) are not always on duty and are only called upon for special cases.

Battle Chip: Chips that contain battle data for Navis to use. These come in many forms from simple one shot weapons to chips that summon a phantom of another Navi to perform one or more of their signature attacks.

Dark Chip: A chip some claim to be infused with dark power. Whether there is any truth to the claim or not it is a fitting description. Dark Chips are immensely powerful but slowly corrupt a Navi's code and programming, with continued use they are known to make Navis more violent and less loyal to their Operators.

Virus: A living piece of corrupted data, viruses come from many different sources and have as much variety as Navis, but they almost always want nothing more than to spread and corrupt more data.

Darkloid: A Navi who has fallen to corruption through either the use of Dark Chips or their own twisted morals. Many of them exist separate from any sort of Operator and are very dangerous.

Cybeast: A gigantic virtual creature with immense power and animal traits. The only known examples are Gregar and Falzar, the two most powerful beings the Cyberworld had ever seen. The Cybeasts were so powerful in fact that they threatened to destroy the entire Net, which in a world as integrated with the cyberworld as this one would destroy vast amounts of human effort and progress, and through some more influential machines have severe physical effects on the world as well. Gregar was destroyed by the combined efforts of many different Navis and Operators, cheifly Lan Hikari and MegaMan; Falzar was absorbed by a certain someone and has not been seen since. It is believed that they are no longer a threat to the world, but it is no easy matter to eliminate all traces of such powerful beings.

    [a id]battle_routine[/a id]

    Battle Routine, Set:

    Battle Chips:

    Starter Battle Chips:

Cannon (Neutral): A one shot cannon that does a moderate amount of damage. It's effective at all ranges, but has a slight delay.

Sword (Sword): This chip changes the user's primary arm into a large energy sword. It's much stronger than most starter battle chips, but lacks the long range that most chips have.

WideSword (Sword): The same as Sword, only with a much wider, not longer, range.

AreaGrab (Neutral): Temporarily restricts the enemy's area of movement while increasing yours.

AirShot (Air): This air attribute shot does an average amount of damage along with pushing back the enemy. As with all air attacks, this chip can blow away barriers.

ShockWave (Break): A large single-direction shockwave is sent towards the opponent

Invisible (Invis): Just like the name suggests, this chip will turn your Navi invisible for a few seconds. While Invis, they are unable to be hit or damaged.

Barrier (Barrier): Nullifies weak attacks, but can block one attack from any damaging attack before breaking.

ZapRing (Electric): Throws a disc wrapped in electricity, does below average damage and temporarily stuns the enemy should it hit.

HeatShot (Fire): This is a fire version of Shotgun. Does double damage on grass fields, burning the grass away.

Bubbler (Water): This is a water version of Shotgun.

Boomerang1 (Wood): Throws a large wood attribute boomerang. It does above average damage, but is slow and somewhat easy to dodge.

Vulcan1 (Neutral): A weak three burst shot that can add up damage when all shots land. Its speed is much faster than Cannon, matching other similar chips, such as CrossGun and V-Gun. In addition to its speed, the Vulcan series of chips have a one enemy piercing effect.

Atk+ (Plus): Increases the power of the next Battle Chip by a moderate amount. It can only be used on offensive chips.

GutsPunch (Break): A point blank punch that can break through most defenses. This attack is strong, but virtually no range.

FireHit1 (Fire): Essentially a weaker, fire version of GutsPunch. Like other fire chips, this attack does double damage on grass fields, but burns the grass away.

Shotgun (Neutral): An average damage shot that has a surprisingly long range. Similarly to the Vulcan chips, Shotgun has a one enemy pierce effect.

CrossGun (Neutral): A long ranged attack that upon impact explodes in an X formation around the target, hitting anything in the crossfire. Its damage is on par with the Shotgun Battle Chip.

LilBomb (Neutral): A slow, yet strong, bomb that explodes in a horizontal arc.

Recover+50 (Healing): A moderately strong recovery chip. For most base NetNavis, two Recover+50s can completely heal them, regardless of how much damage they had taken (with the exception of deletion worthy damage).

Geddon1 (Break): Cracks all uninhabited areas around the user, rendering them

V-Gun (Neutral): Similar to Shotgun and CrossGun. This attack explodes in a V arc behind the target.

RockCube (Obstacle): This chip summons a large rock cube that can block incoming attacks. Break attacks can pierce through RockCube with little effort, but almost every other type of attribute is worthless when matched up against it.

MarkCannon1 (Cursor): A slightly stronger cannon that locks-on to the enemy. Its power and lock-on capabilities are hindered by its slower speed.

Quake1 (Break): An extremely strong attack that is thrown over the target. A large metal weight is dropped over the enemy, but the slow transformation gives time to dodge.

    Program Advances:

When certain types of chips are used together they can create a temporary Pseudo-Giga Chip. This is known as a program advance or PA for short. There are many PAs, but most are not very easy to get. If the chips are available I will list the PA's name and description, then it is up to the players to figure them out. Those familiar with the games should know many of these, and as an equalizer those with knowledge of the PA are able to list it in the OOC. Remember, though, only one PA may be used by a player every 10 posts (possibly longer or shorter depending on the length of the player's post).

    Chip Shops:

These are special shops that can be found on the net and in towns. Online shops sell digital versions of chips, so they may have harder to find chips. In-Town shops sell physical chips, and qualified customers may even take retrieval orders for rare chips. Additionally, In-Town shops sell PET cases. At the start of each IC day a list of available shops, along with their inventory, will be provided.

    Attributes and Style Change:

During a character's first day in class they will receive the program FmsChng.BAT, a modified version of the original style change program. Once the program is installed a NetNavi will be able to gain a style change. Each style has a weakness, and your style is determined by your fighting style. You cannot earn a style that shares your normal attribute. There are three primary species of styles, elemental, weapon, and passive. Elemental styles are well rounded, weapon skills are highly offensive, and passive styles have a wide range of non-attacking traits. Styles will be awarded at the GM's discretion and take multiple IC days to earn. There are also certain exceptions to being able to style change. For example, Chevalier.EXE has a certain program that causes his coding to be too unstable to install the FmsChng.BAT. Each style represents an attribute, with the sole exception being the unknown style. The attributes are: fire, water, wood, electric, sword, break, cursor, air, obstacle, plus, invis, healing, and barrier. Two sets of attributes have weaknesses: Fire->Wood->Electric->Water->Fire, and Sword->Break->Air->Cursor->Sword. These weaknesses affect both styles and Navis in general. So, if you run into an electric Navi or a Navi with an electric Style, then you would want to use wood attribute chips. Additional information about each individual style will be listed as players near the unlock requirement for them.

    Execute:

    Rules:

    1. First and foremost, PC rules apply to everything in this RP.

    2. Bunnying is strictly forbidden without one key factor: Permission from the player to be bunnied.

    3. God-modding is forbidden, and anyone suspected of god-modding will be warned. Furthermore, anybody found god-modding will be immediately removed from the RP.

    4. One post minimum a week, unless notified through OOC, VM, or PM. A post must be at least 100 words for it to count towards this minimum.

    5. This RP is rated M for Mature, which means moderate adult themes that would be suitable for a 16-year old. That means excessively described gore, bedroom romance, and outstanding use of vulgar language is forbidden.

    6. Boosting for chips/zenny is highly frowned upon, and anybody that does it excessively will be warned. Those who continue boosting will be liable for some form of punishment.

    8. Always check your posts for typos and grammatical errors. It won't get you kicked out, but anybody that reads over your post will be grateful. Here's a test: The rules section has a glaring mistake, and that mistake is the code.

    9. New ideas are welcomed and encouraged. This RP is for everyone, and as such the players should be able to voice their wants and needs.

    10. All decisions regarding the implementation of new mechanics will be up to the GM/s. If they are accepted they will be introduced in the next IC day, or whenever it would be logically plausible.

    11. Your character's Navi will be deleted if they are too reckless (such as running off without backup to fight a very powerful opponent) and the GM(s) will not interfere except in special circumstances. If your Navi is deleted it does not mean you are out of the Roleplay, but it means you as a Roleplayer have to write up a new one to continue, and your character has to program them from the base point so they will not start out as strong as your original Navi

    12. Inventive, creative, and even powerful NetNavis are encouraged, we just ask that you run the concepts by a GM(s). Even if we think it's too OP (probably won't, I mean, have you seen Chevalier or Omega?), we will work with you to work it into a viable solution. As Lord Sephear mentions, the only real limits that can't be worked around is whether or not the NetNavi is plausible or if it breaks the rules of the RP. So please, go all out!

    13. Please keep these rules in mind when posting. If someone is caught breaking the rules on multiple occasions they will be removed.

    SU:

Name: (First and Last, Middle Optional)

    Nickname: (Optional)

Gender: (Male or Female, but you knew that)

    Age: (14-18)

Appearance: (What does your character look like? At least 100 words, and be descriptive! Images can be used, but small descriptive facts must be included.)

Personality: (What makes them tick? At least 200 words. Remember, everybody has good and bad traits.)

History: (Why are they here? At least 300 words, since it should be assumed that they have not been living under a rock their entire life. If you want your character to be related to someone in the series please be sure to explain how they are related and give a plausible reason as to why it matters.)

    NetNavi: (ie: MegaMan.EXE or Punk.EXE)

Element/Attribute: (Choose one of the many attributes for your character, but neutral is a nice starting point.)

Appearance: (At least 150 words, they need more detail, so be creative. Once again, an image may be used, but small details must be written. Additionally, every NetNavi must have an emblem. To prevent the possible usage of a pre-existing emblem, please check here.

Personality: (At least 150 words, they may be a program, but chances are they aren't dull or lifeless.)

History: (Optional, unless you want your NetNavi to have some tie-in with existing characters in any Megaman universe.)

PET Color: (Limited to two colors, a primary and accent color. Can be changed later by purchasing a new case.)

Default Weapon: (This is what your NetNavi uses to Virus Bust when not using a Battle Chip. The most common type of weapon is known as a buster, which is a mixture between a cannon and a gun. Megaman uses a buster. There are numerous kinds of weapons, including claws, swords, busters, flamethrowers, etc. Most of the time this is influenced by your NetNavi's attribute or style change.)

Battle Chips: (Choose a total of ten to start off with. You can have up to three copies of any chip towards your total. ie: You can have three Swords, three WideSwords, and four more chips of your choosing to make a total of ten.)

Code: (Did you pay attention to the rules?)

  • (Well here's my character, anybody looking to join please don't be daunted by how powerful my or Colony's own character's may sound, any character you make will get a chance as long as they don't outright break the rules and sound remotely plausible. This RP is a labor of love and we'll enjoy it even more if everybody can find little ways we didn't think of to be amazing.)

    Name: Andrew Mercy

    Nickname: Marquis Mercy

    Gender: Male

    Age: 17

Appearance: Creamlanders are known for their fair skin and often fair hair, as befitting someone considered royalty Andrew is a prime example. He has creamy pale skin and dazzlingly blond hair, accompanied by bright green eyes. The young Marquis stands at a healthy 6 feet, tall enough for a bit of extra authority but regular enough not to be domineering, he claims it's his kingly stature. He's decently muscular thanks to all the training he's done to deserve his place, but he hasn't had the hardest life either so he doesn't have rock solid muscles. The thing about his visage that stands out the most is his face, it is very handsome and well defined, with a strong jaw. His face is completely unmarred except for one single scar going from the middle of his left cheek to the left end of his mouth.

Andrew would never dishonor Creamland by dressing like a commoner, but he can't exactly go about dressed as if he were parading around his homeland either. He usually can be seen in a white cotton shirt and white slacks with a black jacket over the shirt. (I don't generally like to use pictures, but basically this:
    Spoiler:
) And a pair of fairly plain but high quality black sneakers, he loves how comfortable and simple they are while still looking nice.

Personality: The Mercy family is known for being intelligent, caring and adaptive, but they're definitely not known for being humble. Sometimes it's a wonder they're not actually related to the Pride Family...yet. Andrew personifies his family's cherished traits well, and although he's willing to admit when he's beaten, he's never admitted to anyone being better than him at anything he actually feels competent in. He never turns down people in help right in front of him, and he's not usually angered easily, but he's all too willing to back up his words with his fists or his Navi. In spite of his own ego he doesn't boast his talents unless asked of them, and he loathes anyone he considers arrogant or a braggart.

Andrew is no technical genius but he's very intelligent and an excellent programmer, he had to be to operate such an important Navi. At first glance he'd seem a pompous would-be prince who practically lives on a silver platter, but the fact is he's had to work hard enough to earn everything he's ever had in life besides clothes and a roof over his head. He's not lazy and he always respects hard work. Andrew is a teenage boy and of course admires the female form, but he generally denies any romantic advance and claims he is already destined to be with another, and his pursuit of the hinted woman is infallible.

    History:
    Spoiler:

    NetNavi: Chevalier.EXE (Sheh-vul-yay)

    Title: The Paladin Navi

    Element: Sword and Break

    Appearance:
    PaladinNetNavi_zps316882f8.png
Normally he has a light brown cape and no shield, but when he goes to block the cape becomes the shield and returns to being the cape afterwards.

Personality: At first Chevalier was practically just a virtual soldier, his only goals were to "purge any darkness from CreamLand" and to serve his king, but the more time he spent with Andrew the more he developed his personality. When it comes to orders and battles Chevalier is still generally a no-nonsense chivalrous warrior, but during times of leisure he is quite relaxed and pleasant. Even though Chevalier is even more level-headed than Andrew most of the time, he has no respect for any man he considers beneath himself, but he always treats women with respect. Chevalier is determined to delete any viruses and any Navi he deems corrupt, it is his role to fight not to offer mercy, he leaves that up to Andrew. If Andrew orders him to fight or delete, or allows it when he requests it Chevalier will not hesitate to destroy any enemy.

History: Chevalier was created as a part of "Project Paladin" One of Creamland's biggest endeavors to integrate more with the cyberworld by creating a very powerful Navi. Chevalier was intended to protect CreamLand in the one place it was most vulnerable, which was the cyberworld thanks to how far behind some countries it was. The scientists of the project wanted to make Chevalier the most powerful Navi so they gave him an impressive amount of raw power not dependant on Battle Chips and a good default weapon, but since CreamLand couldn't develop any especially powerful weapons to bestow upon him they instead made sure he had a massive amount of memory, dwarfing just about any other Navi so he would always have room to grow. They wanted to make a program that would allow him to download anything to compliment his nearly endless memory but they could not get it to work so they scrapped it in favor of more likely research.

Research on Chevalier was halted when CreamLand's royal castle came under it's first cyber-terrorist attack and his PET was stolen by some boy for the sake of fighting off the aggressors. However instead of ruining all their hard work and getting their precious subject deleted the boy actually succeeded in stopping the attack, but in the process Chevalier was heavily injured. The scientists of Project Paladin managed to save Chevalier, but there seemed to be some strange remnant of the battle left in him, some program they couldn't analyse and they weren't sure if it was from use of the DarkSword or the terrorist Navi Sigma's final desperate attack before apparently being deleted. The boy who'd stolen Chevalier was made his operator in recognition for his skills and reward for his actions, much research was done on how the two synergized.

At some point certain people of CreamLand made a deal with some group known as "Gospel" and Princess Pride temporarily became one of their agents. In exchange among other things this lead to the researchers of Project Paladin receiving a data fragment from a Navi developed in Electopia that had perfected the ability they had tried to create for Chevalier, the Get! Ability Program. They saw this as the missing piece to their puzzle and set aside an entire research time to find a way to integrate it into Chevalier. So as to avoid risking Chevalier tests on the data fragment were only done with regular Navis for a long time, and when all of these Navis were either deleted or consumed by the fragment they decided not to even inform Chevalier's operator of it's existence.

No matter how many times they tried no regular Navi could handle working with the fragment, but if they didn't at least get SOMETHING they were not ready to risk Chevalier's existence after making so much progress with him in other areas. In time Princess Pride returned and it wasn't long before the researchers were told they could not work on the fragment anymore, apparently it was related to some huge incident with the group that had given it to them in the first place and could potentially be a danger to the whole country if it managed to escape.

After another month of tests and research the scientists of Project Paladin were finally confident that Chevalier was very stable, and they had managed to make two backups of his current programming, so as an excuse to finally see if what they hoped was possible without really telling Chevalier's operator of the fragment, they made it his final test to destroy it. A development they never could have seen coming occurred; when Chevalier finally approached the data fragment it reacted to the bits of corrupted data and the "remnant" of Chevalier's battle with Sigma that they had never been able to get rid of. The data fragment acted almost sentient and came alive, moving erratically before flying straight into Chevalier and disappearing.

The data fragment had seemed not to damage Chevalier in any way, but he had a strange cape that could turn into a shield that had never been there before, and there was some small unknown data within him that they could neither analyze or remove. When the fragment was dubbed taken care of and they had records of everything so they wouldn't need Chevalier anymore he was officially turned over to his operator.

PET Color: White with gold accents.

    Default Weapon: PalSwrd and ForShld.

Chevalier lacks any sort of ranged weapon as of yet, even a basic pea shooter buster, but his melee weapons are nothing to scoff at. The PalSwrd is a sword type weapon much like a basic Sword, WideSword, or LongSword chip, but more powerful and permanent with a white, almost metallic look to it. When Chevalier focuses and puts extra energy into an attack he can swing his PalSwrd and send out a wave of pure energy almost like a sonic boom that hits as hard as if the blade itself was flying towards opponents, this "Sonic Slash" can be used on the ground to make a panel cracking/breaking shockwave.

Right now PalSwrd is not very different from the weapons of many other sword-type Navi's weapons, what really stands out about Chevalier is his ForShld, which most of the time is his cape. When Chevalier needs to defend from an attack the cape can turn into a knightly shield in front of him, protecting him from any attack that can't go around it. The special thing about the ForShld is that it seems to be completely indestructible, Chevalier can't block an attack if he doesn't have enough strength or it's indirect enough to slide off of/go around the shield, though the shield itself seems impervious to damage. ForShld has other limits though, it can only be in it's shield form for a maximum of 6 seconds at a time, and if it's out for more than 3 seconds in a single use it has a small delay before it can be used again, making rapid fire attacks or attacks that force Chevalier to max out it's usage are more effective against him than most.

    Battle Chips:

    Code: 7

    Other:
    • Not even the best scientists of Creamland could tell Andrew what it is or what it does, but Chevalier has an enigmatic program in him the PET identifies as Gos.DAT
    • Chevalier was originally intended to be able to heal other Navis in fitting with Project Paladin's theme, but his healing program was corrupted when the Gos.DAT entered him.
    • Also, because Chevalier has more programs in him by default than most Navis, he is adaptable in a lot of ways but can not Style Change as we know it.

  • Name: Reiner Force

    Nickname: Reign, Cosmos Warrior

    Gender: Male

    Age: 15

    Appearance |
    Spoiler:

Personality: Quite the tenacious boy, Reiner has never been the type to back down from a fight, though, he is also not above showing his fear at a situation either. He's tenaciousness is only matched by his brazen and prideful attitude. Which can, and has, at times gotten him into a few sticky situations. Among these traits is the all but too defining compassion. He's a nice kid at heart, not having the guts or indecency to turn away anyone that needs help. Even when they have done him wrong in one way or another.

At the same time though, Reiner is said to have a prankster and closet-intellect. He will easily just chuck to instinct and luck, while others would love to blame it on his innate ability to just 'feel' the flow of objection. He has horrible luck with girls, usually freezing up or stumbling over his words when around especially pretty ones. Which is oddly enough the exact opposite of how he makes friends. Reiner can be chummy around people but he never goes so far as too just assume that people will accept his flaws.

History: Born to Dr. Force, a rising scientist in a upcoming division of Sci-Lab and Mrs. Force the head programmer for a competitor of Sci Lab, Reiner was expected to be intelligent. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Reiner was unexpectedly and unpleasantly mediocre. His mother was oddly enough the more disappointed of the pair. She was the type that worked hard for her success so for her son to have inherited none of her or his father's intellect was a blow that meant failure.

    NetNavi: Solar.EXE

    Element/Attribute: Sword

    Appearance |
    Spoiler:

Personality: Solar is kept to himself, opinionated, loyal, and aggressive. He is especially aggressive when it comes to battle, attacking his opponent(s) ruthlessly until they can no longer battle. This, however is perfect for Reiner; since he is already an aggressive battler himself. This ties in to why they make such an incredible team. The two them have a good idea of what the other is thinking and so they act without really needing instruction.

The two of them bounce off of each other, Reiner more so than Solar but that is besides the point. They often confide their deepest thoughts in each other as well and knows that they will be kept secret from malicious mothers and fathers. For the majority of there time together, Reiner and Solar find amusement in everyday life, always laughing at the others mistakes or in Solar's case, quietly and coolly teasing Reiner at his fails. The two of them are contradicting figures but at the same time, its one of those relationships where the contradiction is a good thing.

History: (Optional, unless you want your NetNavi to have some tie-in with existing characters in any Megaman universe.)

    PET Color: Burgundy | Orange

    Default Weapon |
His default weapon is a katana styled saber that is used to combat virus and opponent Navis. Not many can match his quick and flexible skills with a blade.

    Battle Chips |
    Sword
    Sword
    Wide Sword
    AreaGrab
    Barrier
    Atk+
    Atk+
    Atk+
    Geddon1

  • Overall a good SU Yamagi but there are a few things I need to point out (Not counting that it's not finished you obviously know that) The picture for your character should definitely not be an existing MegaMan character unless you intend to RolePlay as one, and you don't seem to be going for your character being Vent.

For another matter Your Navi is obviously Zero from the MegaManZero series, which might be fine if not for two things.

    1. You did not claim him to be a Navi version of Zero, just a Navi with his appearance and weapons.
    2. Zero.EXE Already existed in the MegaMan Battle Network universe, so there is no room for him or a carbon copy in this RP.

Also this note is practically irrelevant because of the changes required by what I already pointed out but if a Navi has a sword/saber type weapon they would be a Sword-Type Navi, not default.

I like the effort for the SU to be MegaMan themed though, goodonya there.

  • I agree with what Sephear has to say, well, for the most part. Yamagi, it doesn't really seem like you've made all that much of a deviation from Vent's character in Megaman ZX, which is what bothers me more than anything. Instead of making your own unique character (even if it uses Vent's appearance), it just appears to be a port of Vent and his ZX form into the Battle Network mold. The only other problem that I see is that you are missing a key factor that all Navis have: an emblem. There's a list of emblems that can be viewed from the SU template, just to give you some ideas. Overall, great start Yamagi. A little bit of tweaking in what you've done so far and you'll be good to go (once you've finished the rest).

I hate to say that I haven't finished my SU yet, but I don't want to have to make changes to the appearance, etc. so I'm gonna post what I have so far...

  • @Sephear and Colony: Yea, I was trying to hard to mold the Megaman universe in with my app. You guys are right. I'll switch up and flip everything when later today.

  • Ooh! I wanna sign up, but I'm not sure when I can finish my SU. This will go here in the meantime.

    Name: Hunter Boost

    Nickname: None

    Gender: Male

    Age: 16

Appearance: (What does your character look like? At least 100 words, and be descriptive! Images can be used, but small descriptive facts must be included.)

Personality: (What makes them tick? At least 200 words. Remember, everybody has good and bad traits.)

History: (Why are they here? At least 300 words, since it should be assumed that they have not been living under a rock their entire life. If you want your character to be related to someone in the series please be sure to explain how they are related and give a plausible reason as to why it matters.)

    NetNavi: Jet.EXE

    Element/Attribute: Neutral

Appearance: (At least 150 words, they need more detail, so be creative. Once again, an image may be used, but small details must be written. Additionally, every NetNavi must have an emblem. To prevent the possible usage of a pre-existing emblem, please check here.

Personality: (At least 150 words, they may be a program, but chances are they aren't dull or lifeless.)

History: (Optional, unless you want your NetNavi to have some tie-in with existing characters in any Megaman universe.)

    PET Color: Black and White

    Code: 7
