    Rate my team

well i have played a lot with this team and i have interestingly defeated a lot of ubers with this also , but when it comes to ou , i fail miserably. so i would like you to rate and any suggestions would be welcome

    Rhyperior

    Rhyperior (M) @ Focus Sash
    Trait: Lightningrod
    EVs: 67 HP / 252 Atk / 120 Def / 69 SDef
    Adamant Nature
    - Stealth Rock
    - Crunch
    - Earthquake
    - ThunderPunch

i like this set a lot .. the high attack lets me take down other leads and the focus shash is a big help .

    breloom

    Breloom (F) @ Toxic Orb
    Trait: Poison Heal
    EVs: 32 HP / 224 Atk / 252 Spd
    Jolly Nature
    - Swords Dance
    - Mach Punch
    - Seed Bomb
    - Spore

well this guy is mainly to help me set up ... either it self with swords dance or switch in to something more suitable or powerful .

    Jellicent

    Jellicent @ Leftovers
    Trait: Water Absorb
    EVs: 32 HP / 252 SAtk / 224 Spd
    Timid Nature
    IVs: 30 Atk / 30 SAtk / 30 Spd
    - Water Spout
    - Rain Dance
    - Dark Pulse
    - Recover

    Scizor

    Scizor (M) @ Steel Gem
    Trait: Technician
    EVs: 252 HP / 56 Atk / 140 SDef / 60 Spd
    Adamant Nature
    - Swords Dance
    - Bug Bite
    - Bullet Punch
    - Roost

this guy is a beast ... i mean with the swords dance and the gem ... at least one threatening enemy can be ohko'd .but even otherwise , bug bite for dark types like hydreigon . i love this guy

    Dragonite

    Dragonite (F) @ Lum Berry
    Trait: Multiscale
    EVs: 56 HP / 252 Atk / 200 Spd
    Adamant Nature
    - ExtremeSpeed
    - Outrage
    - Dragon Dance
    - Fire Punch

one or two dragon dance can sweep almost any team with outrage and lum berry helps you with that , the fire punch is for the likes of ferrothorn , which otherwise is a threat .

    Espeon

    Espeon @ Leftovers
    Trait: Magic Bounce
    EVs: 252 Atk / 252 SDef / 4 Spd
    Careful Nature
    IVs: 30 SAtk
    - Calm Mind
    - Psychic
    - Shadow Ball
    - Substitute

the only reason i use this guy is for its magic bounce ability . other than that i find him totally useless . but the magic bounce is extremely helpful against uber teams that start with darkrai or normal ou team that want to set up . but i am open to a better suggestion .

well that's my team ... pls rate and tell me if there is anything to change about it :)

  • For one Rhyperior is really bad in OU because of its terrible defensive typing (though Solid Rock somewhat compensates; speaking of Solid Rock it's the ability Rhyperior should always use. Regardless, it's better off in UU). And for another thing, it's too bulky to use Focus Sash (though its Special Defense is bad). also, LightningRod is completely and utterly useless on it, as it doesn't use Special moves at all (not only is it already immune to Electric, its Special Attack is so terrible it can't put its excellent Special movepool to good use). Terrakion is way better than Rhyperior in every way:
    -Stealth Rock
    -Close Combat
    -Stone Edge
    -Swords Dance/Taunt
    Nature: Jolly
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 SDef/252 Spe
    Item: Focus Sash

    or
    -Close Combat
    -Stone Edge
    -X-Scissor
    -Quick Attack/Sacred Sword/Rock Slide
    Nature: Jolly
    EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
    Item: Choice Band/Choice Scarf

    or
    -Rock Polish
    -Swords Dance
    -Stone Edge
    -Close Combat
    Nature: Jolly
    EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Air Balloon

    or
    -Substitute
    -Swords Dance
    -Close Combat
    -Stone Edge
    Nature: Jolly
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Rock Gem/Salac Berry

Technician Breloom is all the rage these days; you should be using it, considering how hard Technician-boosted Bullet Seeds hurt:
    -Swords Dance
    -Bullet Seed
    -Mach Punch
    -Spore
    Nature: Jolly
    EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Lum Berry
    Ability: Technician

    or
    -Bullet Seed
    -Low Sweep
    -Mach Punch
    -Spore/Stone Edge
    Nature: Adamant/Jolly
    EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Choice Band
    Ability: Technician

    or
    -Bullet Seed
    -Low Sweep/Force Palm
    -Stone Edge
    -Spore
    Nature: Jolly
    EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
    Item: Choice Scarf
    Ability: Technician

Poison Heal Breloom is still useful to an extent, but they play differently:
    -Substitute
    -Leech Seed
    -Spore
    -Focus Punch
    Nature: Impish
    EVs: 236 HP/252 Atk/20 Spe
    Item: Toxic Orb
    Ability: Poison Heal

    or
    -Spore
    -Substitute
    -Focus Punch
    -Seed Bomb/Stone Edge/Facade
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 12 HP/252 Atk/244 Spe
    Item: Toxic Orb
    Ability: Poison Heal

Jellicent's current set is a waste of its offensive and defensive prowess. For one, Shadow Ball is way better than Dark Pulse (because both have redundant coverage, and Jellicent gets STAB on the former attack). Jellicent is also rather slow, so it'll be forced to take a hit before firing off an attack, weakening Water Spout. Thirdly, this doesn't look like a rain team to me, and manual Rain Dance is better done by Tornadus. You should use defensive sets mainly, or go for Choice Specs to surprise the opponent:
    -Scald/Surf
    -Will-o-Wisp
    -Recover
    -Taunt
    Nature: Bold
    EVs: 248 HP/216 Def/44 Spe
    Item: Leftovers

    or
    -Scald/Surf
    -Shadow Ball/Ice Beam
    -Will-o-Wisp/Toxic
    -Recover
    Nature: Calm
    EVs: 252 HP/36 Def/220 SDef
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Water Absorb

    or
    -Water Spout
    -Hydro Pump/Surf/Scald
    -Shadow Ball
    -Ice Beam/Giga Drain
    Nature: Modest
    EVs: 172 HP/252 SAtk/84 Spe
    Item: Choice Specs
    Ability: Water Absorb

TBH, I don't see a reason why Scizor should use Steel Gem. The bulky Swords Dance Scizor set should use 252 HP/40 Atk/216 SDef to let it survive special moves more easily. What's the point of the 60 Speed EVs?

I don't see what's wrong with maxing out Dragonite's Attack and Speed. What purpose do the 200 Speed EVs serve?

Careful is a terrible nature on Espeon, as it wastes away its high Special Attack. Despite its offensively leaning stats, Espeon is mainly used as a support Pokémon:
    -Reflect
    -Light Screen
    -Psychic/Psyshock
    -Hidden Power (Fire)/Baton Pass
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Light Clay
    Ability: Magic Bounce

If you want a good Calm Mind user, go with Jirachi, Latias or Latios:
    Jirachi:
    -Substitute
    -Calm Mind
    -Thunderbolt
    -Psyshock/Flash Cannon
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 252 HP/100 Def/156 Spe
    Item: Leftovers

    or
    -Calm Mind
    -Psychic/Psyshock/Flash Cannon
    -Grass Knot/Thunderbolt
    -Hidden Power (Fire/Ground)
    Nature: Modest
    EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Leftovers

    or
    -Wish
    -Calm Mind
    -Thunderbolt
    -Psyshock/Flash Cannon
    Nature: Bold
    EVs: 252 HP/236 Def/20 Spe
    Item: Leftovers

    Latias:
    -Calm Mind
    -Dragon Pulse
    -Substitute/Hidden Power (Fire)/Psyshock
    -Recover
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 252 HP/4 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Leftovers

    Latios:
    -Calm Mind
    -Dragon Pulse
    -Surf
    -Recover/Psyshock
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 252 SAtk/4 SDef/252 Spe
    Item: Leftovers/Life Orb

Offensive Swords Dance Scizor is better off with max Attack and max Speed; that spread is better off on Choice Band.

I'm going to give you my opinion on these pokemon since they're actually part of my teams.

    1. Scizor - it's better off with it's EV spread being concentrated on it's HP and Atk.
    248 HP, 252 Atk and 10 SpD

Moveset: Bullet Punch, U-Turn, Pursuit and Superpower
    Item: Choice Band

Remember that technician increases the base power of moves with 60 or less by 50%. With STAB moves such as Bullet Punch with a Choice Band, it's an effective move that can dominate in the OU tier. You also have U-turn with it's STAB bug type, and pursuit/superpower for those moments you come across certain Psychic/Steel types that aren't effective with Steel/Bug types.

    2. Dragonite - You have a pretty decent EV spread, I can't find fault in this one.

As for you moveset, you have the most recommended moveset out there.

i personally don't want a choice banded scizor , onlybecause i always keep my scizor to clean things up so i need roost .... but i did change it into LO scizor ..

    Adamant Nature

Offensive SD Scizor is better off using max Attack and max Speed. Bulky SD Scizor uses 252 HP/40 Atk/216 SDef. Both sets play differently. The offensive SD Scizor sets up once (maybe twice if you're lucky), then tears through the opposition, while the bulky SD Scizor uses its access to Roost and good bulk and defensive typing to set up multiple boosts before executing a sweep.
