Liepard is based off a leopard and Raikou is based off a saber-toothed tiger.
Not much of a leopard nor a saber-toothed tiger, but still what inspired their designs.

I think Entei is somewhat of a lion. But I am not sure.
Umbreon could be based on a black cat, though it is a mix between feline and canine like all eeveelutions.

But there's no raccoon in the pokemon world. :c

Nope, Dromeosaurs are dinosaurs who have large claws as their third toe on each foot (i.e. velociraptor). Archeops is based off of an archeopteryx.

Someone refresh my memory. What koala Pokemon have there been?

And I thought Kecleon was an iguana, but it's a chameleon lol so nevermind.

Despite I consider myself someone who knows about animals, I don't really pay enough attention to dinosaurs. Thank you!

Zigzagoone was based slightly off a raccoon. I have a huge list on the last post on the 1st page. Sorry if the spellings are wrong on some of them.


Actually,Zigzagoon is a Raccoon. It's type of pokemon is Tinyraccoon pokemon

I'm surprised it took us this long to realize there is no mosquito yet, and I was the first on this thread to think it up. What other insects are missing?

Spinda is some kind of Panda, for whoever said Panda. Though if you want an actual Panda or a Red Panda, then yeah.

Dolphin. Dolphin Dolphin Dolphin. Kyorge is a Orca, and Gorebyss is some kind of eel. They are not dolphins. I want a Bottlenosed Dolphin kthnks.

Also a Hamster Pokemon.

Peacock, narwhal, koala.
That's all I can really think of off the top of my head.

Any hamster pokemon? I don't think there are.

How about llamas or alpaccas? I've never seen any llama Pokemon. :P

Probably could be a new evolution for Rapidash, fire/flying type.

There are a lot of spiders they could add. There are also a lot of mystical animals they could add such as a Cockatrice and a Basilisk. (no not the type of Basilisk in Harry Potter. That is just a giant snake.)

So here is another list of mythical animals:
Cockatrice
Gryphon
Basilisk
Cracken
Chimera

There is probably a lot more Mythology animals that are not half human or what ever,but I cannot think of them.

House Fly, Flea, Termite, Bed Bug, Water Beetle, Stink Beetle, Scarab Beetle, and my aforementioned Grasshopper and Roach.

We need more squirrelllssss :(

I'd like to see a platypus Pokémon mostly, I think it has potential to be very cool. It could be joint Water/Poison with the toxic spikes on its feet and it'd be adorable omg.
