Just saying, Choice Scarf with Eruption is one of Typhlosion's main draws, making it hard to switch into.

    Anyway:

    Chansey @ Eviolite
    Nature: Natural Cure
    Ability: Bold
    252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
    ~ Wish
    ~ Protect
    ~ Toxic
    ~ Seismic Toss

Could withstand any attacks used by Shaymin. Then, it could poison it with Toxic and finish it off with a few Seismic Tosses. With the help of Wish and Protect, it would be able to recover itself whenever it needs to. :b

    252+ SpA Chandelure Flamethrower vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Honchkrow: 292-345 (72.2 - 85.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Basically, not only should your Pokemon be able to defeat your foe, it should also be able to switch into any of its moves. Honchkrow takes over 70% when it switches into Chandelure's Flamethrower. In the following turn, Chandelure outspeeds Honchkrow thanks to Choice Scarf and KOs it with another Flamethrower before Honchkrow can do anything to strike back. The lack of Sucker Punch makes Honchrow nothing more than a check.

    252+ Atk Life Orb Honchkrow Sucker Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Chandelure: 398-471 (152.4 - 180.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Ah, okay--I got you. Thanks for clearing that up. :]

    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def
    Adamant
    - Bulk Up
    - Drain Punch
    - Mach Punch
    - Ice Punch

Doesn't mind Toxic that much due to Guts. Could set up if Chansey decides to Wish + Protect. A combination of Guts boosted Drain Punch + Mach Punch also kills Chansey. 2hko's with Drain Punch without the Guts boost.

Funny thing here is that Typhlosion doesn't counter Avalugg because of Sturdy:
Typhlosion switches in----> Avalugg uses Earthquake while Typhlosion switches in------>Next turn, Typhlosion uses fire attack, Avalugg survives due to Sturdy, finishes Typhlosion with a 2nd EQ

How was I the only one who saw that?

Could easily switch into a Dragon Pulse coming from a weak Goodra, tank the Dragon Pulse 100%, then outspeed on next turn and Dual Chop/Outrage it's way to victory!

----If taking that much from Dragon Pulse doesn't make it a counter, let me know. XD

  • Bronzong @ Choice Specs

    Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - Hidden Power [Ice]

    - Psychic

A totally viable set in the OU metagame, imo. Bronzong resists Garchomp's moves and takes less than 45% from Outrage.

    252 Atk Choice Band Garchomp Outrage vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Bronzong: 129-152 (38.1 - 44.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Rock Slide

Bronzong would be stuck to Hidden Power thanks to Choice Specs, which Darmanitan would be able to endure just fine. With a bit of help from Flare Blitz, it could take Bronzong out quite instantly. :p

You need to specify the other moves Ferrothorn should have. What coverage moves does Ferrothorn have to discourage other counters from switching in?

While Charizard Y may not like Band-boosted Explosions from Ferrothorn, it takes a pittance from Power Whip and doesn't care much about Gyro Ball, despite its high Speed. It also OHKOs Ferrothorn with a STAB Sun-boosted Fire Blast.
