  • So, are there any redditors out here on PC? Which subreddits would you perhaps recommend for a person that is new to reddit and might be a good one to follow? Overall thoughts on reddit?

I found this a while back. You enter a subreddit and it finds the subscribers for that sub and what else they subscribe to. It's pretty good for exploring subs about a topic if all you have is a generic category like "technology", "computers", "pokemon" or "programming".

Anyway, you can find literally anything on reddit and they're popular enough to be able to control Google search results, so it's a good way to stay up to date on your interests. But it's also a great way to waste all your free time, so be careful :P

  • /r/fallout has to be the best looking subreddit. You can tell a lot of time, love and care was put into its appearance.

I find Reddit a good time-waster. I go on it whenever I'm bored after study, usually for a laugh or in some cases, intellectual discussion.

If you are new to Reddit, try general subreddits such as those concerning subjects or video games (at least, that's what I did).

  • I only discovered Reddit in the last two years, but I practically visit it every day now. There's something strangely addictive about scrolling through all the different variety of articles, especially when you're bored.

    r/pokemon, r/gaming, r/funny, r/roastme, r/science.

I stopped visiting reddit a few months ago, but for no particular reason. However, I usually read the stuff on r/WritingPrompts because I love reading, and the short stories that surface from the prompts posted in there are fun to read. Aside from that, I don't really have any specific subreddits that I follow. Anything that shows up in the hot page, I guess.

  • Find subreddits that relate to your interests/hobbies and you'll find it a great community to visit than just the main boards on the front page. I frequent /r/anime, /r/smashbros and /r/twitchplaysPokemon (in the past when it was still mew). /r/Askreddit and /r/outoftheloop are great when I'm bored. Reddit is fun when you can avoid the drama that happens every now and then.

  • I get into reddit in cycles. Sometimes I'm really into it and I'm constantly going through the front page to see everything and other times I barely visit at all, or only visit to check new posts in a handful of small subreddits that I want to keep an eye on. Right now I'm thankfully not too addicted but I assume that'll change once I need ways to procrastinate on school.

I guess I'll list a few subreddits that I like or find interesting? Some of it is just food porn, lol.
    • AskHistorians (ask history questions, get academic answers from real historians with sources!)
    • Bento
    • Borderporn (cool photos of land borders)
    • ChildrenFallingOver (i'm going straight to hell but i love this subreddit)
    • CrappyDesign
    • DadReflexes
    • DepthHub (collection of interesting in-depth explanations from all over reddit)
    • ExplainLikeImCalvin (ELI5 but with Dad explanations from Calvin & Hobbes)
    • firstworldanarchists
    • FoodPorn_ja
    • keming (text kerning gone wrong)
    • nonononoyes
    • nosleep (scary stories, I check in and read the top posts every week)
    • NotTheOnion
    • OutOfTheLoop (explanations for current events, memes, etc.)
    • sushi
    • SushiAbomination

Oh this is awesome! Thank you......... I think. (School year just started so I'm feeling like maaaaybe finding new subs is a bad idea at this time, hahaha.)

  • Reddit is my go-to site after PC these days. It has been a go-to for awhile, but I only regularly visit a few spots now besides the Front Page.

    /r/tennis
    /r/lego
    /r/dbz
    /r/nintendo

Other than those, I rarely look deeper into subreddits anymore and that's fine with me. It's not the most welcoming place for people. I generally lurk.

  • I'm not insanely active on reddit.. in fact I'm hardly active at all but I browse a few subreddits from time to time. Namely /r/maplestory and /r/stevenuniverse. Because I recently got back into MS (and hit level 200, whewt) and SU is awesome.

I'm one of the folk on the imgur side. lol.

  • I subscribe to way more subreddits than I should.

Granted, I only regularly check out the following:

/r/minnesota and other minnesota related subs
    /r/nba
    /r/baseball
    /r/hockey
    /r/nfl
    /r/cfb
    /r/collegebasketball
    /r/talesfromtechsupport
    /r/anime
    /r/manga
    /r/anime_irl

And then a few others I'll check out when they sneak onto my FrontPage or when I'm really bored.

I frequent a few reddits, but I don't ever post there. I don't even have a account. Aside from Twitter and this website (I used to have a Tumblr before realising how much of a utter shitheap that website is) , I usually avoid social networks.

    I usually read:
    r/pcmasterrace
    r/electronicmusic
    r/hiphopheads
    r/indieheads
    r/popheads
    r/thinkpad

I have an account but never participate. I browse /r/anime, /r/music, /r/metal, /r/tales, and /r/technology mostly. Sometimes I'm bored and try to find more.
