  • Looking to get some advice for items and move sets for this team. One of the first teams I have built for casual competition and I really don't know a whole lot about what is/isn't viable. Try not to be to harsh if it's as terrible as I suspect but again any advice is welcome.
    Thanks!

[Moves] Fusion Bolt (Electric)/Draco Meteor (Dragon)/ Fly (Flying)/ Zen Headbutt (Psychic)

    Tyranitar (Adamant)- Rock/ Dark
[Moves] Earthquake (Ground)/ Stone Edge (Rock)/ Crunch (Dark)/ Brick Break (Fighting)

    Mewtwo (Jolly)-Psychic

  • OK, here's what I'd do with this team without changing the actual Pokemon.

    Zekrom (Rash)- Dragon/Electric
[Moves] Thunderbolt (Electric)/Dragon Claw (Dragon)/ Fly (Flying)/ Zen Headbutt (Psychic)
Thunderbolt has 10 more PP than Fusion Bolt and is only 5 points weaker in terms of base power. Dragon Claw takes advantage of Zekrom's higher Attack stat, and doesn't have the repercussion of reducing Special Attack by two stages.

    Tyranitar (Adamant)- Rock/ Dark
[Moves] Earthquake (Ground)/ Stone Edge (Rock)/ Crunch (Dark)/ Brick Break (Fighting)
    Don't see anything wrong here.

    Mewtwo (Jolly)-Psychic
[Moves] Shadow Ball (Ghost)/ Psystrike (Psychic)
/ Recover (Normal)/ Aura Sphere (Fighting)
Psystrike has the same PP as Psychic and has 10 more base power, so no need for Psychic. Shadow Ball gives him defense against other Psychic-types and Ghost-types.

    Heatran (Sassy)-Fire/ Steel
[Moves] Flamethrower (Fire)/ Earth Power (Ground)/ Flash Cannon (Steel)/ Crunch (Dark)
Flamethrower is a strong enough Fire-type move on its own. Earth Power gives him another type of move, and takes advantage of his high Special Attack. If you already passed it up, you can teach it via the move relearner in Mistralton City for one Heart Scale.

    Giratina-O (Timid)-Dragon/Ghost
[Moves]Draco Meteor (Dragon)/ Shadow Force (Ghost)/ Dragon Claw (Dragon)/ Thunderbolt (Electric)
Dragon Claw is more powerful than Dragon Tail. This allows you to take advantage of the fact that it has equal Attack and Special Attack, so you can use Dragon Claw even after having used Draco Meteor and still have it powerful. Thunderbolt is still rather powerful and 100% accurate.

    Gyrados (Jolly)-Water/Flying
[Moves] Earthquake (Ground)/ Ice Fang (Ice)/ Waterfall (Water)/ Return (Normal)
Return is only if it has high happiness. If it does, Return on Gyarados is a very strong attack. Hydro Pump and Surf don't do much because Gyarados has a low Special Attack Stat. Waterfall is still powerful and takes advantage of his high Attack. And Earthquake works similarly, too. However, if you still need Surf for navigation, keep it over Earthquake, then replace it when you no longer need it.
