  • I'm currently making a rock team for the 4chan pokemon league, and would like some advice on the team. I also have a house rule of not using the same item on more than 1 pokemon.

    The team as of yet:

    A DD-tar with LO. Seems like a pretty standard lead to me.

  • Crustle has to be in the lead so it can get your hazards up early.

    I wouldn't advise Wing Attack on Archeops; it's just too weak. You really need Rock Slide or Stone Edge instead.

    I wouldn't use Aggron as a CBer. It should be:
    -Rock Polish
    -Head Smash
    -Earthquake
    -Double-edge/Iron Head
    Nature: Adamant/Jolly
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Leftovers/Life Orb
    Ability: Rock Head

    I'd use a Life Orb, White Herb or Leftovers as Carracosta's item.

    Magcargo is terrible. Cradily needs to replace it:
    -Curse
    -Earthquake/Seed Bomb
    -Rock Slide
    -Recover
    Nature: Careful
    EVs: 252 HP/36 Def/236 SDef
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Suction Cups

    I agree you should replace magcargo with Cradily but then you'll have absolutely NO special attackers. The best option would be Omastar IMO, it has great special attack, and its physical defense is even better, it could make a great tank. But seeing as it is 4x weak to grass you would probably want another special attacker, I would give T-Tar some Special EVs and give it some special moves.

    Dragon Claw
    Stone Edge
    Hidden Power [Fire]/Focus Blast

    Acrobatics + Flying Jewel + STAB + High attack = pretty much a OHKO on anything that doesn't resist it.

    Acrobatics power doubles if the user isn't holding an item, so then it's all good from then on.

    Stone edge hits hard, especially with a STAB and can pretty much to the same as Acrobatics with OHKO'ing anything that doesn't resist it. Hidden Power Fire over U-Turn, HP fire takes care of Scizor and Ferrothorn along with other Bug/Grass/Ice/Steel types. Naive nature, you keep your speed but Special Defense is lowered, but you don't need Special Defense anyway, hit hard and fast. Focus blast is for more power, but less accuracy and will only hit Steel and Ice types, and Scizor won't suffer. Scizor's your main threat.


    Carracosta has an Ok base Special attack stat of 85 with Shell Smash that power doubles, agreeing with the user above me about having no special attackers, I think that Carra could help you.

    EVs: 4 Hp, 116 Atk, 136 Sp.Atk, 252 Spd

    Ice Beam

    Surf over waterfall because it's stronger, and can be a beast with the Shell Smash bonus and Stab, Ice beam for Dragons and Grass types.

    That's right...if Omastar were to be used here, it can replace Carracosta:
    -Shell Smash
    -Hydro Pump/Surf
    -Earth Power
    -AncientPower/Hidden Power (Grass/Electric)
