If I wanted to do another Challenge with Ice, would I -have- to trade an Ice type over, or would I be allowed to just use an encounter code to catch a single ice type at like level 3?

Edit: Nevermind, just breeded a Shellder from gold and sent it over. Level 5, but I tried to save some trainers. Unfortunately, I did it in Vermillion (In hopes the Old Rod could catch one).

So, Chose Squirtle and powered through brock/Mt. Moon, beat Gary and peeps to allow me access to Vermillion, got my Shellder named Clamp, with Supersonic, Surf, Aurora Beam, and Something else, like Leer... actually... I just looked at it's last move, it's Fissure. This Shellder is Glitched. Bad. >.<'

    Any suggestions on Emulator Trading?

  • One question:

While I'm playing Platinum, can I start another monotype using another type?
If not, I'll start it after I beat my Ground challenge. Type will be decided later.

  • I will do another UMC ONLY if im allowed to do steel. *PLEASE ALAKAZAM17, please, please, please?*
XD I'll think about it. I suppose if you use FrLg with a Magnemite, Scyther, and Onix, it'd be kinda close.

Sure, that's fine. You can have more than one running at the same time.

And congrats on completing the challenge, darkshiek! :D

As for the Emulator Trading, sorries, but I dunno much about that.

Well, I guess I'll go to Electric, as Ice doesn't seem to be working out :p

I think I'll do this on Red, for the heck of it. My gametimes probably going to be like 16 hours when I get pikachu in that dang forest...

Just got my Pikachu (Zim) in around 15 pokemon, woo!

Going to go finish off the forest and attempt to not fail at the gym.

Unfortunately, do to PP reasons, Zim (Now level 16, for Quick Attack), had to be withdrawn and I had to use my Squirtle to finish off the Onix. But I tried :p

Ok, well, fought almost everything in Mt. Moon, once I got out, beat just the Gyms trainers, then went and did all of the Nugget Road stuff ('Cept the trainers you mess with for Mew :p)

    Beat Misty with ease.

Beat everything above Vermillion, went to the SS Anne.

Got the Body Slam TM, which went to Pikachu (Zim).

Beat the boat, got the Cut TM, which went to a junk Oddish I caught afterwards.

Beat Lt. Surge and his trainers.

    Healed, and now it's bedtime.

    Pokemon:

    Zim/Pikachu Lvl. 34
Thundershock (Might get it thunderbolt with Surge's TM)
    Agility
    Body Slam
    T-Wave

    Squirtle, Oddish (Cut).

I still haven't forget that I'm owing you some reports about fighting in the battle frontiers, and a general one about the usage of the different Psychic Pokemon.

  • I STILL can't decide which type to use on my 2nd UMC. I was thinking of Water type, but I'm not sure. Any suggestions?

  • Water-Type would be interesting, as you have a lot of choices to choose from.

Bug may also be challenging, methinks. And I'm always going to suggest Psychic, as I'm an Alakazam. XD

  • this monotype challenge sounds suuuper fun! But i don't think i would have enough time, i'd probably lose interest being 5 badges in to blue version! I would play with grass pokemon, but could i start with leafgreen? I really don't like gen. 3 and 4

Wow, I haven't posted on here lately. . . . Sorry! XP My computer was down for a while. Well. . . . I managed to get through Red with my Dragonite (Fwee!) It's hall of fame moveset:
    Myst level 58
    Ice Beam
    Hyper Beam
    Fire Blast
    Bubblebeam

Now, onto Crystal! *sigh* Too bad I'll only be able to get two. . . . Oh well.

Hmm. Would I be able to trade over a Lv.2 Mareep for GSC or do I have to beat Violet Gym with an HM Slave Cyndaquil?

  • Ookay...! Time for updates!

-Beat all the trainers on SS. Anne, including Rival Sam. (Surprisingly easy with a lvl 30 powerhouse Nidoking).
    -Taught Nidoking Body Slam
-Used Rare Candy on my Venonat, it learned Confusion.
    -Recieved Cut
-Taught it to Petal (My Oddish (Slave))
    -Beat the gym trainers EASILY.
-Solved the puzzle with minor issues.
-Challenged LT. Surge with my half - healthed Nidoking.
-Nidoking fainted after a (fierce) battle
-Double Kicked Raichu to death with my Nidorina.
    -Recieved Thunderbolt(?)
    -Taught it to Nidorina
-Went through Diglett cave and recieved Flash and Moon Stone
    -Evolved Nidorina
-Got back to Cerulean, where I am now.
    EDIT:
-Got through the dark cave evolving Zubat
-Beat the rival Sam in the Pokémon tower.
    -Went to Celadon.
    -Recieved Eevee.
    -Beat Erika with ease.
    -Bought some TM:s
    -Beat the ''Secret'' Hideout.
    -Venonat evolved
    -Beated the Dojo/gym... Thingy?
    -Went back to Pokémon tower.
    -Caught a Gastly called Terror
    -Terror evolved

    Battle info:
Double kicked the Snorlax to red health.
Started to throw Great Balls like never before.
It used Rest, while I didnt notice.
