    Have never done a Nuzlocke Challenge so why not....

    Yeah, think ill do pearl again, but i dont think ill be having the white out as game over rule this time >.< might do a bit better lol

    Im guessing that any pokemon u have to fight before u get the 5 pokeballs from the NPC person doesnt count for the actual nuzlocke challange?

    • So I started out in the Pokemart of Rustboro city with my E. Honda. He got deposited immediately and I went to Slateport to battle Team Aqua. On the following route I ran into a Wingull but I got a crit so no new pokemon there for me.
    I went up to Watson's place and got myself a mach bike. On the route to the right I caught an oddish and spent some time training it. Her name is Onion.
    once I was confident that Onion wouldn't die I used it to battle Wally and got a OHKO. She evolves into Gloom.
    I challenged Watson's gym where everyone crumbled to my Kipdum. I taught Skrillex Rock Smash and got Strength by letting the lovebirds reunite. I caught a Geodude (dubbed Stoner) on route 111 by using Rock Smash. Left him in the Day Care while I raised Pikabloo, the second Marill I've caught. This one on route 112. I grabbed Stoner from the Daycare and now I'm making my way north towards Flannery. Oh and Pikabloo has evolved into Azumarill

    Next time on Pika: Nuzlocke Challenge! Trekking through the Fiery Path!

    I'm finishing my quest to nuzlocke every generation. (Until X&Y come out, then I gotta beat that too.)

    R.I.P:
    Nessy the Sewaddle (She was so young... died of a tragic pokeball mix up.)

    I'll post a story about my journey when something interesting happens, for now I must challenge the first gym.

    • Well I'm quite saddened by todays episode...
    On Fiery Path I caught a Koffing :t109: dubbed NoStankYou if you get the reference you're one cool kid. He had poisoned Stoner and I forgot poison kills outside of battle so...NoStankYou killed Stoner....which is pretty funny if you think about it and understand the reference lol
    While I was depositing Stoner in the Death box I healed and grinded to get NoStankYou leveled up.
    After Fiery Path I caught a Numel dubbed Nummies but realized soon after that it was still route 112 and I already had Pikabloo from that route so he was released. I was a bit dissapointed because I really wanted to keep it. On the next route I was hoping to run into a Slugma as I wanted a fire type but nope I got the feeble Spinda named Unique :12: Because they pretty much are.
    And then on a Ninjaman. He Selfdestructed and took out Pikabloo. I guess it wasn't meant to be this time Azumarill (I'd done a solo challenge with him and he was pretty awesome) For every Koffing I came up against I would just use Skrillex or Kipdum as they were really high leveled and could take the hits. So getting through here took me longer than it should have. Passing Fallarbor town I went to Meteor Falls and caught Krorikins the Zubat. After even more grinding he was decent enough to battle so I went to confront Team Magma in the Falls...only to find out that in Emerald there isn't a battle right there as they get chased out by Aqua....

    Next time on Pika: Nuzlocke Challenge! Brawley, Wiped Out!

    • Today is to be a day of mourning.

    For the first time in any nuzlocke run I have ever performed, I lost my starter, and on the first gym to boot. A stray critical took him down instanly. I managed to polish off both his pokemon with my Mareep, thunderwave came in very handy there.
    Rest in peace Snivles the Snivy, you will be sorely missed.

    As I was leaving town, I came to realize that Bianca was the most obnoxious, unnecessary, and downright awful character ever to be put in a pokemon game. She never shuts up. Ever. And what the heck is that red thing on her face?

    I set out, and upon encountering a new route, caught a pidove. I named it Slapper, after a certain pigeon from a certain book I loved when I was younger. Time to grind, I'll see y'all at the next update!

    You must change the battle style to SET.
    You may not use held items.
    You may not use/catch legendary Pokémon.
    No duplicates as well

    I'm only doing the single challenge for now.

    Optional Rules:
    -Nickname all Pokémon
    -Can't use legendaries but can catch for keepsake.
    -Change battle style to SET

    But before I start, I have a couple of questions.
    Do gift pokemon such as Eevee and Hitmonchan/Lee count as first Pokémon encountered for that area? (Celadon City and Saffron City respectively)

    Speaking of such rules, what does the salesman selling the magikarp count towards? A gift pokemon?

    • Ok guys. I've started a Pearl Nuzlocke and I'm already pretty far. So anyway, the rules of my challenge are:

    Rules
    *Must catch the first Pokemon encountered in an area.
    *If a Pokemon faints I must box it permanantly.
    *Must nickname all Pokemon.
    *Can not overlevel for the next gym.

    What Happened

    Started with Stumper the Turtwig.
    Did everything else until the Pokeballs.
    Caught Swidge the Starly and LogGnaw the Bidoof.
    On Route 202 I caught... Symba the Shinx!
    Got to Jubilife City.
    Got the Poketch.
    Beat my rival.
    Didn't catch anything on the route East of Jubilife. (Stupid Abra!)
    Caught a Budew North of Jubilife.
    Caught a Zubat in that cave north of Jubilife.
    Caught a Geodude in Oreburgh Gate and a Psyduck in the below part.
    Caught Mickey the Machop in Route 207.
    Got some of my Pokemon up to level 14 and beat Roark without a death.
    Ok well to skip forward I caught more Pokemon, beat Mars. No deaths :D.
    Caught even more Pokemon and got to Eterna City.
    Beat Gardenia with Swidge.
    Caught so many more Pokemon.
    Beat my rival in Hearthome.
    Caught more Pokemon.
    Currently training up to level 30 to battle Meylene.

    Team:

    Marriland (Marill) lvl. 21
    Swidge (Staravia) lvl. 26
    Stumper (Grotle) lvl. 26
    Symba (Luxio) lvl. 24

    My other question was about the $500 Magikarp at Mt. Moon. Am I aloud to buy it? Is it a gift Pokémon? Thanks for you help in advance.

    • Well going down the ledge below Meteor Falls I made my long journey down to Dewford (I had to make my way to Slateport not Mr. Briney's Cabin) And challenged Brawleys gym. Took out everyone with Golbat Aaaaaaaaawwwww YEeeeeeeeeaaaaaaahhhhh

    Anyways that's all for now because I am quite busy but I want yall to know that I'm not dead and that the challenge is still going strong!

    -got running shoes from aide
    -Ra dies of a Fury Attack by a Spearow on Route 3. Rest In Peace.
    - First encounter in route 3 was spearow which I accidentally killed. (Not too fond of Spearows anymore :'( )
    -Headed to Mt Moon
    -First encounter in Mount Moon was Geodude which I caught and appropriately named Goliath.
    -Chose Dome Fossil
    -Taught mega Punch to Goliath
    -Route 4 first encounter is again Spearow. Got a critical hit on it and it fainted. (I have the worst luck -.-;)
    -Grinded Vanellope to Level 18 to evolve her
    -Beat Kevin on Nugget Bridge
    -First encounter on Route 24 was Bellsprout whom I caught and named Poison Ivy.
    -Beat all trainers on Route 24
    -Grinded Poison Ivy to level 21 and evolved into Weepinbell
    -Beat Misty with Poison Ivy.
