Question: Should we make threads with IE <10 users in mind?

  • I have some great ideas and designs for some threads, but I'm a little hesitant to use them, because they require some CSS that isn't supported or only partially supported on IE 9 and below.

Now, PC is a considerate and welcoming community, so dropping support for IE <10 would certainly deserve a second thought.

According to online statistics, about 2% of users worldwide still use IE <10.

    What do you all think?

  • I really don't mean to sound rude, but if a person is running a version of IE that's less than 10 and thread a page with incompatible CSS, then that should be a tell-tale sign that the person needs to either upgrade IE if they can or change browsers, lol.

  • Just go ahead and make threads however you like. 2% of internet users (and bear in mind that the 2% is probably under-represented in PC's userbase) isn't worth redesigning your code for.
