    POKEMON SONG PARODY EVENT
    Are you one of those people who write as much lyrics as Taylor Swift after a break-up? Or are you one of those people who listened to the Elite Four theme and just had to sing along (to the nonexistent words)? Well, then this is the place for you, and its absolutely free! The Pokemon Song Parody competition is an event where you, the members of PokeCommunity get to write your own lyrics to popular PokeTunes (meaning the music found in-game, from any generation), maybe even sing along, and win prizes! It is a creative and fun-filled competition that takes almost no effort at all.

    Categories
    Lyrics Segment: here all you have to do is write new lyrics to Pokemon music found in the popular games. It can be witty, hilarious, tear-jerking, or all of the above!

    Singing Segment: basically the same as the Lyrics Segment, but there is one catch...you actually have to sing/rap your lyrics to the tune! It takes courage, but these always turn out to be the most entertaining and creative!

    Rules
    1. All PokeCommunity rules apply (meaning be nice, fair, and nothing inappropriate).
    2. Multiple submissions are permitted, but only one can win a prize.
    3. No plagarism! Even if you are entering the Singing segment, you must use your own lyrics and sing them.

    Entry Period:
    12:00 AM, Friday, July 15 to 11:59 PM, Monday, July 18

    Judging Period:
    12:00 AM, Tuesday, July 19 to 11:59 PM, Friday, July 22

    Judging Criteria
    Your judges for this event are Lady Gaga and Bluerang1. We will review all submissions and make a conclusive result based on these criteria:

    Lyrics Segment
    Rhythm and Rhyme
    Appeal
    Use of articulate and expressive words and lyrics

    Singing Segment
    All criteria from Lyrics Segment
    Vocal ability
    Performance quality

    Emblems
    These are the prizes for this event. There are emblems for first place (in both categories) an honorable mention, and even for just participating!

    To be or not to be, that is the question. For you, "to be" seems to be the answer, since you have won First Place in the Lyrics Segment in the Pokemon Song Parody Competition during Get-Together 8!

    Submit your entry using these forms (they are not too difficult, and your entry will be denied if it does not use this format).

    This way we know exactly which Pokemon song is being parodied. For example, if you just said "Route 1", we don't know if that is Kanto or Unova Route 1, and even if you did specify Kanto, we dont know which version (since all version have different tempos and the such). That way, if you just give us a link to the tune, we know exactly what the lyrics are supposed to be sung with!

    Wow, according to the postbit, I wrote that at three in the morning local time. Regardless, you've said multiple entries are allowed, right? That was really fun, which took me by surprise, so I might make another one or even two. This goes till the end of Monday EST, right? That gives me till about mid-afternoon on Tuesday here XD.

I can't remember the exact context of the song, so it might be a little shaky story-wise, but . . . actually, no, sod it. I'm writing what I feel here, not necessarily what's in the game. >>

    A little research tells me this song plays for Bel or Cheren or something, but for some reason I will always associate it with N. He is the one who was in my mind when I wrote this, so that might give it a bit of perspective.

    That was beautiful Misheard, I really love how you just poured all your heart into those lyrics. He also makes a great example, your songs dont necessarily have to be about Pokemon, just go to its tunes ;D
