So, selfless acts. The things we do which usually benefit someone else, but don't really help us. But! If some people are worth making those sacrifices for, then that's enough motivation to do it, right?
What's the biggest sacrifice you'd make for someone?
This could be taken in a few different ways (keep in mind, these can apply to family, friends, whatever):
- the biggest sacrifice you'd make in order to make someone happy
- the biggest sacrifice you'd make in order to be with someone
- the biggest sacrifice you'd make in order to save someone's life
And do you feel comfortable about the idea of you losing something for someone else?
Or do you feel that love should only go so far and that while we are here on earth, we shouldn't have to compromise our own well-being in order to help somebody else?
I have actually and I still do love them. They are a very good friend of mine and the only reason we aren't together is due to the distance, so we have always agreed that if we are closer in the future for what ever reason, then we would discuss it.
It is difficult to answer those three questions, because I can't pin it down; I would say most things...
The biggest sacrifice you'd make in order to make someone happy
Forgoing my feelings for someone to help them be with someone else. I do it often enough. The biggest sacrifice you'd make in order to be with someone
That depends on things like "Would they be happy without me?" and "Would they be incapable of being happy without me?" But in the right circumstances I'd give up quite a lot for someone I cared for. The biggest sacrifice you'd make in order to save someone's life
Anything but my own life with the exception of my immediate family, who I'd give even my own life to protect.
