  • Anyone else think that the Swords of Justice should have been introduced in Gen VI instead of Gen V?

It is known that Cobalion, Virizion, Terrakion, and Keldeo were based on The Three Musketeers. Now that novel is a French novel, so it was written and takes place in France. Now the sixth gen introduced the Kalos region, which is based on the northern part of France.

Now the Swords of Justice were introduced in Gen V. The region that was introduced during the fifth gen was Unova. Said region was based on New York and New Jersey, parts of the United States.

It does not make sense to introduce Pokemon that are based on characters in a French novel, to be introduced in a region that was based on parts of the US. It makes much more sense for the Swords of Justice to have been introduced in a region that was based on part of France.

I agree with you here.. It's also kinda weird that Gen 6 got no Legendery trio, especially when it only has like 7x Pokemon.

This quirk is quite interesting; now that I think about it, I feel like the Sacred Swordsmen/"Swords of Justice" would have fit much better in the France-inspired Kalos region (regardless of intentional foreshadowing or not)..

Yeah...I wish the Sacred Swordsmen quartet debuted in the Kalos Pokedex instead (then again, you have the Japanese-based Forces of Nature/Kami trio still appearing in Unova, but what the hey {XD}).. That way, both Unova and Kalos have a proper legendary Pokemon trio, Unova doesn't look like it has an influx of non-mascot legendary Pokemon/doubling-up on the quota, and perhaps the methods of obtaining the "Forces of Nature" Pokemon may not have been so fragmented as they are now...like seriously, is it so hard to ask for Landorus, Thundurus, and Tornadus to all be obtainable within one game file (like how practically all other non-mascot legendary Pokemon trios are) without jumping through hoops like trading or Pokemon Dream Radar?!
