Differences between FR/LG v1.0 and 1.1

Hi! I haven't been on this part of the boards for a while, but I just had to come back to ask a question. How can you tell the difference between Firered and Leafgreen versions 1.0 and Firered and Leafgreen versions 1.1? I know some codes, like the 2-line shiny codes for the AR, only work on one version or the other, but I seem to have misplaced those. Could someone please tell me how I can tell the difference (in both games) between versions 1.0 and 1.1? Thanks!

Well, it's not exactly clear if it's the ROM dump version or if Nintendo published a bug fixed version, but for sure in gameplay, everything is identical between 1.0 and 1.1. I think 1.1 was an updated release that fixed some bugs in the game.

I remember from somewhere that 1.1 was updated with the stuff needed for the wireless adapter. I'm not 100% sure if it's true, but that's what I read off this site. Either that or what was said above

I heard it was to limit cheat code use. Too bad we just took the time to make codes for both versions. I think some of the important offsets are different between the two versions, that's why you here of some ROMHack's are patched to ROMs and don't work, because the hack and the ROM it's patched to are different versions.

Go to the Pokédex entry for Pidgey, it says:
"Tiny Pokémon": v 1.0
"Tiny Bird Pokémon" v 1.1

P.S. I tried to post a helpful link but it told me no for now. Google "bulbapedia" and search for "fire red and leaf green" and what I said will be in the "trivia" section near the bottom.
