Crystal hack: Pokémon: Peridot Version (Final Version BETA Available Now)

I've been busy with other projects, but here's another patch to fix the issues people have been reporting. Patch notes follow.

Spoiler:

• Change the rewards and entry fee for the Trainer House, making it a better money-making option.
• Fix issue where the officer on Route 13 will not display any post-battle text.
• When reviving an Aerodactyl, the scientist will no longer incorrectly call it an Omanyte.
• Fix error in Molten Peak's hidden cave involving strength rocks.
• Fix the text box appearing incorrectly when a nicknamed Pokemon is sent to the PC.
• Fix Pikachu being unable to learn any moves via breeding.
• Add grass encounters to Route 24
• Various text and grammar fixes

I have a new patch for v1.18. Postgame is still coming along, albeit slowly.

Spoiler:

• Various grammar & text corrections.
• Fix special battle music not playing for certain trainers.
• Add water encounters to Hepatica Town.
• Remove Legends' Aura from the postgame rival's fight.
• Psych Up & U-Turn no longer play their animation when the effect does not activate.
• Fix collision issues in the factory tileset.
• Fix Ho-Oh's back sprite not showing the correct colors.
• When completing the Hall of Fame, the postgame event in the player's house will only trigger once.
• Fix an issue where an incorrect treasure chest opens in the golden castle.

There's a house at Rugosa Coast with a few sailors inside. If you talk to one of them while having 6 badges, he'll give you Surf.

I'm playing this on MyOldBoy and really liking it a lot! I'm having an issue though in the Acropora gym. I went through the mountain and trainers just fine but when I enter the building itself the screen goes white and crashes. Until that I loved it though. I love the winding map and want to complete the pokedex!

There's a new patch, v1.19. This one attempts to fix some errors that have been reported over the past few months. Plus, a new gender selection screen.

Spoiler:

• Replace Acropora Gym door with a regular door to prevent it crashing.
• Attempt to solve the issue of the player getting stuck after completing the story event on the SS Mako.
• Peridot Trophy is now properly awarded, after defeating the Subway Ace.
• Redesigned gender selection screen, showing off the two available options.
• Silk Scarf now gives a 50% bonus to damage instead of 30%.
• Add functionality to display trainer sprites in the overworld, similar to Pokemon sprites. (Adapted from Polished Crystal)
• Sign graphics for cafés.

Just a very small update fixing an issue with encountering Lugia if the player does not first visit Sea Route 5 before unlocking its cave.

Not sure if this was ever addressed,but in Hepatica town,if you white out during the fight with multiple bandits you won't be able to receive fly and the pokemart stock stays the same.

Time for another update. Here's a list of changes.

Spoiler:

• Fix Hepatica Church and Buglar Hideout gauntlets from being considered finished if the player whites out.
• Remove reference to the Odd Egg when receiving an egg from the Day Care.
• The warp leaving the developer's house will now put the player in the correct spot.
• The caves in the Lost Land will now play the correct music.
• Fix issue where some tiles in the Colosseum would appear incorrectly at the start of a battle.
• Change the description of X Accuracy to be consistent with the other items of this type.
• Smash rocks in some maps can no longer be pushed with Strength.
• Fix extra text box that opens when talking to Marie's sister.
• An NPC on Route 18 has been added who will sell the player weather charms.

• Ghost-type Pokemon will no longer be trapped by the effects of Wrap, Clamp, Bind, Fire Spin, or Whirlpool.
• Mean Look will fail against Ghost-type Pokemon.
• Fly and Dig will now activate immediate if the opposing Pokemon tries to switch out. Trainer parties have been updated to make better use of this new mechanic.
• Fly's power has been reduced to 80, and its accuracy to 90 to reflect these changes.
• Drill Peck's power has been increased to 90.
• AI will lose the effects of Foresight if they switch out.

If they disappear, you should be able to access the mart's full inventory. Regardless, I overlooked that issue. Should be fixed in this update.

Right after the battle? I genuinely have 0 idea what causes that issue. It's been reported previously, but I've never been able to trigger it myself.

I've seen you posting updates quite regularly for bug fixes and such, is the game complete?

And also how would you rate the difficulty? I noticed that you can't leave the gym unless you white out or beat gym leader which is pretty cool honestly :D

The main game is complete, the entire region is there and you can go all the way to the Champion and roll credits. There is some postgame(rematches, a battle facility), but there is still more that I want to do with that. Development is slow, but I'm one person and I have other projects that have been taking priority.
As for difficulty, it's hard to say on my own. Difficulty is subjective, and I know what to expect in each fight. I wanted to make a game that was comfortable to play myself with minimal grinding and cheese. You may need to get creative with fights, but I didn't want any to completely grind a playthrough to a halt nor did I want the game to lack challenge.

Um, I need help with something. About the O-U Unown Chamber on Route 13, is there any way to solve this puzzle? I tried going around the pillars like 8 times counter-clockwise, yet still no success...
