TV The Walking Dead midseason finale

Last night the midseason finale of season 6 of The Walking Dead aired and it certainly was filled with quite a few surprises. What did you guys think of the finale? What about the season in general?

Spoiler:

I was so sad to see Deanna get bitten but I also saw it coming from a mile away. She played her role well but it was inevitable that she was a temporary character with little staying potential. Sam is also becoming Lizzie 2.0 which is concerning.

Sisters more a walk in dead but really loves the show is their a walking dead season pack would keep her quiet for abit.

I think that she has played a really strong role so far in the show so it'd be a shame to see her go. I fully expect Ron to be devoured by walkers but Sam might get them both killed for all we know. He's a lot like Lizzie in my eyes in how he is going to be bad for the group. Hopefully the show deviates from the comics though and she lives...

Also, I am really interested to see how the Negan saga plays out.

I was hoping Ron would shoot Carl. Can't stand that little ****.

I don't like how Rick's group always seem to have time for pep talks and lectures even if they're meant to be facing a serious threat. Glenn trying to shame Enid into risking her life despite the massive horde around them. A dying Deanna trying to impart words of wisdom to everyone when they should be focused on barricading the house. Scenes like this are overdone in the show and it makes the tone of the series seem more corny than suspenseful. You'd think with that many zombies overrunning the place there'd be more than one major death.

I had mixed feelings about it.

I was looking for Ron to shoot out Carl's eye for the past few episodes but it looks like that will happen another way. I really wanted Alexandria to work just a little bit longer but it looks like AMC is wanting to speed things up so they can get caught up with the comics. I was also expecting for someone, most likely Ron, to shoot Carl's eye out but I guess they're saving it for the second half of season 6 onto the first half of season 7.

Morgan has really gotten on my nerves. His new outlook on life is getting people killed and he's a liability to everyone. I loved him in the two episodes he was in before season 6 but they're showing too much of him. He didn't need his own episode, a lot of it should've been left up to the audience's imagination.

I'm also looking for Sam to die on episode 9 and most likely his mother. It could just be a red herring by AMC though, they're trying to throw the audience curve balls as much as they can. At times though, these curve balls can be predictable but it doesn't really take the fun away from watching it.

That being said, did anyone watch the end credits scene?

The first reference to Negan has been announced. It could've been earlier in the episode that focused on Daryl, when he found a small group fleeing from the community they were in, but it's anyone's guess about that. I really look for the famous death scene of a particular character but I don't think they'll follow the comics on this one. I'm honestly thinking it might be either Daryl or Maggie.
