What do you folks think about Unreal Engine 5 and what impact do you think it will make for consoles and pc?

I don't know much about that sort of thing but it looked insane. Some of those textures looked almost real.

The small indie company I am working for is already talking about it, however it may be years before we see any major games use it depending on how smooth the transition is from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5.

It honestly looks ridiculously good, just a shame we more than likely won't see any triple a games on it for a few years to come, but if they all look like this than that'll be worth waiting for! Honestly the games at that Xbox reveal looked like they could have easily been Xbox One titles, so excited to see developers use newer engines!
