VIDEO GAMES TRIVIA

HOW THIS WORKS

THE FIRST TRIVIA SET
VG Trivia is an event where I'll be firing all sorts of Video Game questions your way throughout the Get-Together. Your mission is simply to get as many right as you can! The winning team will then be awarded 200 points towards their team's total at the end of the event. Exciting! Read on to see how this event will be panning out.

Below you will find the first set of questions, and to participate, all you have to do is message myself with the answers. PLEASE join the PC Discord server and when you submit your answers, please include your Discord handle as well (just makes it easier for me to track if needed). I am contactable either via:

Discord (Arcaneum#0823).
PokéCommunity PM (Click to be taken straight to a PM to me).

This set will contain much harder questions, however these can be answered at any point during the Get-Together.

Being more difficult and available throughout the Get-Together, you will be awarded 150 points for guessing the entire set correctly, otherwise scoring will be thus:

9 correct answers - 100 points
[*]6-8 Correct answers - 80 points
[*]4-6 correct answers - 60 points
[*]2-4 correct answers - 40 points
[*]1-2 correct answers - 20 points
[*]0 correct answers - 0 points

However because of this, I will only accept ONE set of answers and will be using the FIRST set of answers sent by your team, so you will need to co-operate to make sure you get as many right as you can, before sending them in!

DAILY TRIVIA
The rest of the event will have 10 easier questions posted Daily for you to answer. Any number of team members can send these in, so the more you send in the more points you'll generate! I will only accept the first answers from any team member however, so make sure to double-check before sending in.

Scoring will be 5 points for each correct answer. One question in each set will also be a bonus question, meaning you can score extra points. These will be highlighted and the extra criteria specified. In the event the teams tie, I will give bonus points to whichever team has submitted the MOST answers.

AND FINALLY...

A few closing notes - in the spirit of the competition, please try not to look up the answers! Use existing knowledge to answer these questions - there's a wide range of games, eras and genres mentioned so that there's something for everyone. If you have any questions at all regarding how the event is run, don't hesitate to post it here or message me.

The event itself is of course competitive, but the setup is made so co-operating will net you better results, so make sure to liaise with your team regularly, to have a better chance of winning!

WHO'S THAT CHARACTER? (CLOSES 00:00 BST SATURDAY 25TH JULY)

Retro

As yellow as the sun, ghosts fear this character and its voracious appetite.
Known for the insane grab tech in Super Smash Brothers, this duo are well-versed in climbing up those cold mountains.

Heroes

Despite having no arms or legs, this guy manages to swing his fists extreme distances, all it takes is a little wind-up.
This wrestler/journalist gets more than he bargains for when he enters a shopping mall full of zombies. But it's ok, he's covered wars, you know.

Villains

Who knew that a robot could be so narcissistic, passive-aggressive and yet be such a good singer? Watch out though, she watches your every move and WILL try to kill you at any opportunity.
This oversized turtle is just really lonely and wants a girlfriend!

Bosses

These twin witches are sure to mix you up, with one giving you the cold shoulder and the other one turning up the heat.
Sitting atop a tall mountain, this legend will need your strongest team of monster friends to defeat!

NPCs

This four-legged chum loves you forever and ever as you waltz the wastelands together, although he has a rather unfortunate name...
Not only does this person expect you to build them a house, but then they make you catch loads of fish for them?! You'll need him to get your cell phone though!

Gaming Connections
In this challenge, it's all about connecting the picture to the franchise it is from and then matching it up with the location and character from the same franchise/series.

For example a picture of Excalibur II from the Final Fantasy series would be matched with the location Deling City (In Final Fantasy 8) and the character Lightning (From Final Fantasy 13).

All you need to do therefore is just put some lines/arrows/whatever to connect each image to its relevant location and character, then send the image back to me! The image will be hosted via a direct link below, so it should be easy to open up and edit. If there are any problems, let me know.
