I'm sure many of you have heard about the terrible heatwave that has hit South-Eastern Australia, and how we poor Aussies are being burnt alive by the merciless sun. The worst part of it is over, but we're still trying to recover from this past week. Oh, and for those of you that haven't heard about it, here's the link.

And I just discovered right now that people have died because of it. I was lucky. I got my clothes glued to my body from sweat. Leading to dehydration...

"In Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, health officials reported more than 20 sudden deaths, most of them elderly people overcome by the baking temperatures of over 40C who had suffered strokes and heart attacks. "

And I live in Adelaide. :o

I've been cooking all week. Literally. XD

It wasn't thaaaat bad for me. There was only one day I actually felt like I was being cooked alive in my bedroom. I woke up to find I could hardly breathe. Since that day I've been sleeping out in the living room where there's lots of ventilation.

I heard Sydney didn't take the worst hit. Melbourne and Adelaide sure took a beating, though. Lucky Sydneysiders...

We've had buses and trains breakdown all over Adelaide.

ETSA turning off the power didn't help our air-con, either. :x
