  • So in contrast to the other thread I just made about rejecting people, I'm going to ask the opposite now.

    Have you ever been rejected by someone you were trying to get to know or ask out? If so, what happened? Any backstory for us?

    Please note that if you've broken up with someone you were in a relationship with, it probably shouldn't go itt. :x

    I've asked out 3 people in my life.

    1.) Rejected only wanted to be friends.
    2.) Rejected but asked me to a dance a while later.
    3.) Asked, said just to be close friends first, then said no, then asked me out a while later.

    :B

    I've never asked anyone out before. I just told these girls (one in eighth grade and one in ninth) that I liked them. Honestly, I wasn't even really sure if I even had a crush on them. I probably just thought I did, and just went with it or something... I don't know. XD;

  • Huh.. Let's see...

    Well, this one guy, my ex, after we broke up I asked him out again because we still liked eachother. He said no. Why? Because it turns out he hated me for breaking up with him in the first place. He broke up with me. So yeah he wouldn't give me a second chance etc.

    And the second guy... Well, I didn't technically ask him out. So did he reject me? Well I guess. I mean the whole saying that it wouldn't work if he wasnt with his current girlfriend kinda sounds like a rejection to me. Because I'm "not his type" well he's my type gosh ¬¬
    But yeah, me and him are (or at least I think) close friends and I still "like" him. And should probably tell him how Loose Women tells me opposites end up being better as partners that similar people and we're very much opposites.
    Not that I'd want to ruin his current relationship because I'm sure she's very nice but I'm going on a bit now, so, yeah, I've been rejected twice by two different people.

    (tl;dr - yes.)

    I am just rejected by people in general. Mostly because I give the air of not wanting to be around you or speak to you.

    I've been in two relationships in my life, none of which I asked for. They just sort of happened. Neither of them lasted as long as I would have liked, but I'm not complaining. One was when it would have been too young for me to really be able to picture a future coming out of it, and the other just doesn't seem to have been something that should have happened. I don't hold any resentment or bitterness towards them, however. I still talk to one of them, but the other moved away and I haven't spoken to her in two years. I haven't asked anyone out, though. I just sorta told them that I have really strong feelings for them, and they said the same in return. Much to do with the way I view relationships, you see. I'm not interested in getting involved with anyone at the moment either. I much prefer being single at the moment, looking at my future plans.

  • I once asked a good friend of mine out who happened to be female. It was through asking this person out and getting rejected that I found out she's a lesbian. We're still great friends, though.
