I am darn sick and tired of all the stupid threads going on around here about the joke the Staff played. I'll make everything so clear that even stupid members like Sheepnut will understand.

1: This whole thing was a joke. Everything from the hacking, to the Staff forum (that I'll get to in a min). All of it. It's April Fools, you are a fool if you think all this is real.

2: So even if the forum was hacked, the spammers couldn't have made all them posts so quick right? Well, yea that's right they couldn't have. But did anyone here think that we planed all this way ahead of time? Did we just get everything going over night? We had this idea going for months, that's why a new forum (aka the March Mod Lounge) was started, that's why we filled it with stuff all of you would hate, that's why it was shown to the members. We had all this worked out more then a month ago, that's why you see that forum with so many posts.

3: If you're going to leave over this then by all means leave. Because whoever is stupid enough to believe all that was a hacking, all that was Staff hate members, all that was truth then we don't need you here.

And the next person who starts a thread about this April Fool's joke, flames a Staff member, or any of that other junk is going to get a warning, and if I'm in a bad mood then you'll get a temp ban.

I was indeed gullible, but perhaps you should've kept this whole joke confined to the staff members, who got the short end of the stick? I'm not angry at all, don't get me wrong, as I've gotten my apology, but still, it would've been nice to know so I could've gone to bed peacefully...

It was a joke. And it is not only on the staff, members acted unnececcerily towards it by posting spam, if they do such, it just shows that they are as bad as those that played it, only their spam is no joke.

These bans were only because of members who decided to take it upon themselves to get themselves banned. And so far, as I've seen only five people received bannings, through complete fault of there own.. :<

And it was still a joke, its sad that none of you still can't forget it and laugh it off..

20 is a gross exaggeration, and I find it disappointing that you're yet another person who considers all bans to be unjust, completely disregarding the fact that a ban is a punishment for brazen disregard of the rules, but since anti-staff equates to heroism in some parts here, there obviously exists a major and one-sided exception for such hate speech. ANYONE who was banned today was done so for spam and/or malicious speech.

We take bans incredibly seriously; and, likewise, we stop taking seriously those who refuse to accept this.

The people who we "Banned" were in on the joke. We let them in on it because we knew we could trust them to keep it a secret. They consented to being "Banned" until the joke was over.

Who's "laughing", as you say? Nobody is right now, because members are causing us stress. Might I note we're doing what a bunch of members did a while ago, yet we're doing it on April Fools day? We weren't looking for very visible signs of outward praise for what we did; if you're under the impression that we were looking for legions of members to pat us on the back saying "rofl! your teh funnies!" you're completely wrong. Silence on this matter does not imply disapproval regarding what we did, despite what you may think. Most members have better things to do than to involve themselves in endless bickering.

It is an April Fool's joke. It's the most elaborate one we've done yet. And we've got a problem. Members are daring Todoroki to ban them, but we can't. So I'm asking you if you could please say something that will piss him off in my thread about him, then let him ban you for a few hours. Please. I know it's a lot to ask, but we need you to for this joke to work.

Heh, I knew a hacker wouldn't be able to do any of that unless they got an admin password. I've worked with vBulletin, I know how the admin panel works. I got pretty irritated at all the chaos the joke caused, but it was a pretty dang well-executed joke. Good job!

It is an April Fool's joke. It's the most elaborate one we've done yet. And we've got a problem. Members are daring Todoroki to ban them, but we can't. So I'm asking you if you could please say something that will piss him off in my thread about him, then let him ban you for a few hours. Please. I know it's a lot to ask, but we need you to for this joke to work.

That was my let in on it. The joke seemed to worked well overall.

Base line: Don't make a joke if you're not expecting some people to take it seriously. Us members can get *very* defensive if we feel PC and our rights are being threatened.
