    Hello again Dearman4 🙂

I know this might be a very tall order, but might you be able to make a patch that injects/replaces Pikachu's ingame cry with the vocal audio version? That would be pretty dope if it was possible 😊

Absolutely possible, I can look into that if you really want it lol

How can I enable the optional features that are disabled and vice-versa?

    Copied directly from the README:
The optional patches included can add or remove many features such as the Day-Night Cycle or the Physical/Special Split, patch them the same way as the main Emerald Final .ips file. See the Optional Patches folder for more.

Please read the README and frequently asked questions before asking as 90% of the time your question is answered there :)
Recommended that you patch optional patches on PC and not mobile as it's tedious to do through MyBoy!

Yeah man, I'd be totally into it 😊

Being the franchise's mascot Pikachu should at least have his signature vocal cry instead of the ingame one like he does on several games, Pokemon Yellow, Let's Go Pikachu and I think he has it in Sword and Shield as well 👍

    RFE Addendum;

By the way, what are your conditions to evolve an Eevee into either Espeon or Umbreon? Friendship plus time of day? Or by using either a Sun or Moon stone?

    Taken directly from the README:
196 Espeon Evolve Eevee (happiness during PM hours)
197 Umbreon Evolve Eevee (happiness during AM hours)

I've thought about the Sun/Moon Stone, but I think I will keep it as friendship based.

Oh it's on the main readme.txt file stupid me *facedesk*

I was looking for information either in that wild encounters html file or the various Adobe reader files you packed along with the patch and readme.txt file. Maybe you should separate the Pokemon locations table into its own "guide" file for easier access as I wasn't to keen to look in the main readme.txt file as readme's to ROM Patches often only contain technical information about a patch's update history and how one goes about applying them onto the ROM they're meant to be used in.

Also about the Eevee-lutions, yeah time of Day evolution is still better 😊

    RFE - Addendum:

I just got to Route 121 and I see in your "Pokemon Wild Encounters" html than Ledian has a higher encounter rate at 10% with Ledyba, its Pre-Evolution, at 4%. Was that intentional that the Evolved form is more common than its Pre-Evolved form? Kinda weird though.

No that was a mistake but I am planning on revamping the wild locations, I made a lot of "I'll just throw this here" type snap decisions that I have later come to reconsider, such as I originally had Electabuzz not spawn in New Mauville and a few people have brought up that all the water routes are basically the same encounter-wise. I'm hoping to give a bit more realism to the locations, like for example I want to move Squirtle from the Shoal Cave Ice Room to near Rustboro since in the Anime they hung out near a bigger city. Also I think I am going to look into making Porygon a gift Pokemon rather than having it spawn in the wild, Route 115 wasn't a great choice for it anyway looking back.

How would a "Gift" Pokemon work on a ROM though as the "Mystery Gift" functionality can't be utilized? How about it being offered by one of the Scientists in Devon Corp. after performing a trigger event.

Also I'm currently spending time in the "Safari Zone" and I noticed that the "Go Near" option is still in all CAPS. And I noticed on your "Pokemon Locations" html file that "Chansey" has both a 4% and a 1% encounter rate, another mistake perhaps?

And I'm greatly enjoying this hack a lot by the way 😊

When I say Gift Pokemon I mean like how you get Castform, someone gives you the pokemon. I was actually thinking about after saving the space center one of the scientists there gives it, seeing as how Devon Corp is already a bit busy with the IV Perfector and Fossil Reviver.

The way that wild encounters are structured is in a:
    20%
    20%
    10%
    10%
    10%
    10%
    5%
    5%
    4%
    4%
    1%
    1%
Block, so when I made the encounter chart I copied the wilds from each route in that format and added the like pokemon together, but I suppose I missed that one 😅 regardless that Chansey is considered a 5% encounter chance since it has a 1% and 4%.

Thanks for pointing that out! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it 😁

    No problem man 😊

The Spacenter is a good idea 👍

    RFE - Addendum:

I just got to Lilycove City's Pokemon Center and the guy on the lower right says "MeteoriteS" instead of "Meteorites".

I could have gotten here a lot sooner had I not spent a lot of time at the Safari Zone LOL 😂

Everything about this hack really has me excited to play Emerald again, unfortunately it's kinda ruined by the Day/Night cycle being tied to your computers time. I can't think of a good reason why this was done, and all it does is alienate those, like me, who only play on real hardware.
Is it beyond the realm of possibility to simply have the Day/Night cycle work off of the ingame RTC? I literally can't think of a reason why this isn't offered as a patch like the 438239832 other optional patches.... Weird.

Firstly, I didn't develop the day/night cycle so it wasn't up to me to have it go by the system time. Secondly I have looked for a new day/night cycle that operates on the in game clock to help not only alleviate the issue with real hardware but to also make evolving Umbreon and Espeon more straightforward but I've not found one yet.

Lastly, I went through the effort to make so many optional patches so that people could tailor their own experience as I'm well aware that my preferences are not universal, and frankly your remark about the amount of options I have included was rude. Constructive criticism is welcomed, rudeness is not.

The upcoming update of Emerald Genesis will have DNS tied to the ingame clock instead of hardware. Perhaps you can get a hint there?

Will it? I haven't heard that but if that's the case then I will definitely ask the author for a hand! Thanks for the heads up! Do you know which post that was mentioned in?

I don't think it's a post, I've been following the discord where it was mentioned.
