For those struggling with Sabrina, stopping Indeedee's Psychic Terrain is also a good idea. You can get Rillaboom and Pincurchin by this point, which means you can use them to overwrite Indeedee's Psychic Terrain with Grassy/Electric terrain, not only making her team vulnerable to priority, but also vastly weakening her team, since her Psychics all use Expanding Force as their STAB of choice.

I picked this up for the challenge and the variety of strategies and Pokemon. Loving it so far. Has all the challenge that is needed and the want to hunt everything because of the completionist in me. Keep up the work and looking forward to the update that adds all the Crown Tundra goodies.

assuming you're using VBA, check the FAQ. I've heard it not being possible toggling the Real Time Clock on certain emulators but I'm not 100% sure myself.

Just curious about the dex nav. So I wanted to do a shiny only playthrough. I tried looking into some past post but im going to be honest here im new to forums and pokemon rom hacks for the most part. I was wondering if the dex nav has a chain or is it like ORAS or if I leave the area does it break the chain or is it just based on search level? second how are the odds affected? like after 100 pokemon searched and knocked out does it go to a 1 n 2000 chance etc.. pretty much any shiny hunting answers you can throw in there would be nice. Thanks in advance :)

Honestly you should probably keep Hatterene and get rid of some other things. Hatterene has some good matchups against Bruno and Lance and has a pretty good niche as a Trick Room setter that's both very slow and powerful. It's really hard to beat the E4 in this game with a pure hyper offense team due to the level cap, set mode, no items and the fact that the E4 teams are full of the strongest Ubers available. Unless you have a really good strategy to setup/sweep, it really helps to have at least one thing that can function as a true wall like Toxapex, Fur Coat Walrein, Corsola-G, or something like that to deal with their strongest attackers.

For Lorelei, you could keep Hatterene, teach it Expanding Force and Trick Room and also get an Indeedee with Psychic Surge. Lead with those two and give both a Psychic Seed to get an immediate sp def boost. On the first turn, have Hatterene use Trick Room and Indeedee Protect. Then just keep clicking Expanding Force with both and see how many things you can kill with that. After Lorelei, just give Indeedee the Choice Scarf so you can use it to revenge kill things with Expanding Force.

Alright I got a small question as I'm just started with this hack.

But can someone explain the Dexnav a little bit and all it's features. I know I can search for pokemon with it, especially pokemon that gives exp (Thanks audino :P). But I was wondering what all the things mean like:
    - Search level
    - Level bonus
    - Hidden ability speaks for itself.
    - And what do the stars mean, more gold stars = better IV's ?

Was fun enough, completed it in 3 sittings and could use whatever I wanted, and that's nice. Neat difficulty, forces you to think if you don't want to breed and EV train and all that pointless stuff (in my opinion), but I had fun with it.
For those interested in my playthrough, why hello there, I happen to have a channel that I can oh so shamelessly plug.
Or not, because I haven't made 5 posts before.
Oh well, pikaclone god on youtube, the series is called "Pyuku plays Pokemon Radical Red"
Have a nice day, and thanks for the game

Not sure if this is intended or if it is a feature I missed and not a bug.

When I have a pokemon with pickup in my party, sometimes my other pokemon will end up with an item as well. Almost like the pickup mon is passing it on to pickup more items. Feature or bug? If it is a feature, then I am fine with it. I forget to check often.

this is definitely an interesting hack. in principle i don't really enjoy hacks that focus exclusively on difficulty, but i've done my best to keep an open mind here since obviously that was your goal with this game and everyone's got different tastes. i've gotten past pokemon tower so far, had a few thoughts.

    - misty was definitely the leader i struggled the most with. underleveled technician flip turn floatzel could probably stand to be toned down a little. i only ever saw it use flip turn and water pulse though, so maybe that's on me for not having a lombre or whatever. but being able to hit with a 90 BP STAB and proceed to pivot into starmie or frogadier is kind of a lot.
    - oh and the archer or whoever ambush at the end of mt moon was pretty rude especially with the strong jaw ice fang mightyena. i didn't get to see its last move but i really hope it wasn't thunder fang.
    - some kind of documentation of important trainer battle rosters would be nice; trial and error in figuring out team comps the first time is more annoying than fun (imo)
    - the rest of the leaders have been basically fine. i'm kind of surprised erika doesn't seem to have a real answer to escavalier or other bug/steels once you get past rilla unless her serperior is supposed to be hidden power fire or something (if it is, it didn't use it). likewise surge and eviolite gligar, though i know in that case pincurchin carries scald which would probably hurt. if his vikavolt is supposed to have HP ice, it also didn't use that and went for bug buzz instead. these definitely aren't bad points, they just struck me as odd.
    - the ability to use HMs as long as you have a compatible mon and the HM in your bag is extremely convenient, so props.
    - the downward-facing overworld sprite for the youngster has a stray green pixel for some reason?
    - extremely confused why espeon learns fiery dance
    - octillery is incompatible with both dragon pulse and dark pulse, so mega launcher kind of sandbags for it
    - dubwool suffers a lot from body press not being available, and it's kind of only barely usable as is. giving it body press over reversal or at least some extra coverage moves would be really nice; since the payback TM doesn't exist it literally doesn't learn a single damaging move that isn't normal or fighting until the grassy glide / wild charge TMs.
    - a couple modifications to fully-evolved pokemon that are inconsistent with their pre-evolutions feel really incongruous. one in particular for me was the fact that seaking's lightning rod and swift swim got switched as hidden and regular abilities, but goldeen's weren't, which means a swift swim goldeen evolves into a lightning rod seaking and a lightning rod goldeen evolves into a swift swim seaking.
    - given that ledian doesn't have a unique hidden ability any more (with iron fist being standard), i'd like to suggest giving it mega machamp's ability, just because it has four boxing gloves.
    - i'm a bit surprised impidimp seems to only be available by trade? i would've thought it would make an easy day/night pair with hatenna where it's available
    - what happened to your rival at the s.s. anne and in pokemon tower?

generally i've had a good time so far. definitely a solid hack if you enjoy getting your ass kicked and needing to strategize.

Thank you for the help. I have to question. Where can I get a psychic seed and who should I replace for indeedee

You can steal the Psychic seeds from wild execcutes, just bring something that has Frisk and knows Thief.

If you are just going to make that one switch, maybe Blastoise? Unless you are using some kind of Shell Smash strategy, Blastoise seems pretty mediocre and doesn't really have a huge matchup advantage against any of the E4.

This is gonna be my last question but where can you find indeedee. I looked at the doc and can't find it.

This is a really amazing hack, the one I always dreamt of, now here it is. It's really awesome, HUGE props to the author for all of the QoL stuff and crazy implementations. I've got a couple of questions - does DexNav improve shiny chances? If so, what are the rates, are they just like in ORAS? Also, can pokemons in raid appear shiny? I'm a big shiny collector, so I'd really love to know the answers.

yeah dexnav shiny chaining follows the same rates as ORAS, as for the raids I'm not sure but I've never head of anyone encountering a shiny through raids so I'm gonna assume no? LOL I don't actually know myself

there's still more stuff on the way (like new content and more QOL) :)
