What would be a good place for a Salamence to stay?
I reckon that it could live with the Dragonite in that secret forest in Johto, from the episode 'Great Bowls of Fire'. It was a really quiet, peaceful place and the two dragon Pokemon would have each other to play with ^_^

The perfect gym leader for Salamence?
Either Drake or Lance from the Elite 4, or Claire from Johto.

Ahh.. CK knows to respect Johto, my favourite region^^ I reckon it would be happy there as well, I forgot about that eppy, it could also help Dragonite protect it as well~

Well I say Proffessor Oak(When he gets as good as the others, he may be a proffessor, but how are his batteling skills)
But I think proffessor Oak could be a very good Gym leader for Salamence. As him being one of the "OLD" pokemon people, it would be a perfect way to bring Salamence into kanto. Plus when Oak retires, Gary could become a Gym leader and Salamence could stop Gary from being so mean to people. It will work out perfect if that happens. But if you want "Normalishy" answers I say: Teh Erika,(I think they would get along great, I do not know why but in my mind they suit)

OH a sprite might do that but my spriting skills aren't that good^^;
So I'll just describe:
It'd be a big rectangle(duh!) shape in a normalish blue colour. There would be like round, red shaped pillows kinda like the wings and the blanket would be also red like wing^^
