Do you have any screenshots of the housing system in action and i like the looks of the maps, how many maps are done?

The player housing system will not feature in the first release
Nor are we focused on maps right now that will be the last thing we do (it makes sense really) and i dont want to do all the maps myself so either statnio or whitesprite will be heading up the mapping department, includng training, hiring etc.

-_-...tell me, have you played competitivly, like with friends, or maybe even in a tournament. Have you netbattled in any sort? It's just, I've seen so many "Ultimate Trainers" realize that they were ultimate ingame, because their pokes were all sweepers with moves like Fire Blast and Blizzard, or they used all sweepers. For example, me and my friend were playing pokemon. He goes on telling me that he has the best pokemon ever, and it can destroy anything. It's a level 100 Groudon, with the moves Fire Blast, Fissure, Earthquake, and Sunny Day. I said ok, and sent out my well trained, 28-31 IV, perfect EVs for the pokemon, Dragonite at level 85. Guess who won?

No offense if you really are good at Comp. Battling, I'm just tired of people stating to be the best only because they can beat the ingame E4 (which isn't much).

On Topic: You built this entirely from scratch, huh? That's pretty cool. Anyways, will there be something like a search trainer function, and then when you click on one of the search results, it will show you their current pokemon team, levels, attacks, names, and all? That's be pretty cool.

Its called a joke not some of you might not be familair

as for the pokemon team and lvls y would you bother battling if you knew al lthere pokemon team lvls attacks etc

No challenge or surprise in that nor any fun

Only trainers who are insecure about there own abilities would want that
and like to brag about it

Dont expect to win everytime in this game its not like battling npc's like i nthe single playergame where they have to nearly have to win to progress the game or what woul the point in buying it be

Expect to loose 50% of the time and that its not the end of the world
its all apart of the game

Furthermore do not brag or boast or put down any other person in this thread
i belive there is a thread for your pokemon elsewhere

Just got my new computer (since i returned the one that exploded) and i am right back into the sprites, I have done a lot more, havent numbered them yet, so i cant tell you all how many i have done. should have an update as soon as i stop long enough to number them.

Well, after watching so many kids say that, and then fail, it's really hard to tell when someone is joking or not. I'm not trying to put anyone down, I'm just warning you, online, if the other player actually knows what they're doing, you will lose more than 50% of the time. However, what is the point of challenge, if you find out that you can't win because it's so challenging from the level difference? There are three types of suprises. A happy, joyous suprise (like a suprise party), a gloating suprise (you have a gun, and your opponent doesn't), and a nasty suprise (Your gun is not loaded, and your opponent has a knife). Besides, you would not have to choose to view their pokes.

About the whole EV's, I am not showing off. I'm trying to explain that without proper EV and IV training, you will get thrashed. Some kids don't care about EV's/IV's, because they think with their legendaries, they are undefeatable. Then they go online, unaware of their complete cockiness. I apologize if I look like I was showing off. Good luck with the game, anyways.

I have a question as well. Will you be needing any spriting help as far as trainers go. I myself an a semi-professional spriter, so I can help big-time in that catagory, and if it so happens that I do get stuck, I know quite a few other spriters, so If you need trainer spriting help, I'm your man!

But one thing........only 151 pokemon, aaaaaaaaaaah.
I will still play it, but more pokemon would mean more variety, funner battles. But oh well, ya can't have everything.

@ Captain Arcane: the 151 pokemon are just for the beggining if the game goes well they will do more pokemon evently

but yes i will make a FAQ (if anyone still reads the first post of topics anymore)

let me answer the posts with a little more detail

@Grim Yes you can battle gym leaders earn badges etc its just like the single player games in that respect
and battleing is as close as possable to the games
ie: pvp battling is like battlinh someone using a link cable expect you can use items and it earns you exp

@captian arcane pokemon a genrally diffrent from one anotheranyway by personalities etc
theres alot of information to input into the game for just 151 let alone more
and we have considered this very carefully, we havent put in every idea that we thought was cool or fun to have
we thought about all our ideas very carefully and the impact it would have on the game enviroment
having more than 151 pokemon in the one region would over populate that region with pokemon
not to mention greatly impact game preformance

Sup, Looks like yall are still goin strong which is good to see. I have a small suggestion there are some pokemon that are not legendary or very difficult to catch at that but give the competitive battling scene very standard and most of the time boring, its the reason I quit battling competitively, theres also certain move combinations and traits that are not counterable (this coming from 7-8 years of competitive battling experience, since the first PBS) and have been banned from all major tournaments, you should really think about changing the rarity of certain pokemon, and adjusting some of the move, for example why does every pokemon learn double team? Have you ever seen an evasion battle? It kinda makes it difficult for battling to keep a variety of moves pokemon flowing when you have only a handful of pokemon with dominating stats and overpowering moves (blissey,weezing,snorlax,skarmory)....just a thought, in fact whenever you get far enough along to worry about things like that Id be glad to share all of the information Ive been comllecting from competitive battling and building gym leader/elite 4 teams for mmorpg's for the passed few years just to see to it every player in the world isnt runnin around with a fishlax and 5 double resters *shivers*



p.s. ALOT of the original moves from R/B/Y went through major changes between Yellow and Emerald so how do you plan on handling that, if you have the engine running like R/S/E and only nave r/b/y pokmeon you could seriously damage game balance R/S/E Curselax>R/B/Y that strategy's not even supposed to exist yet, not to mention all the pokemon with levitate and natural cure I can see Torrent hydro cannons and blazed blastburns flying all over the place.....volt takle...."shivers" youd make pikachu a god

well naas, your post is all over the place, but i'll try to consult the fact that you think this game will be anything like NetBattle. on NB, you can choose any pokemon you like with any and every properties to them without doing any previous training. let's say you get a snorlax somehow... you'll have to train it just as if it were in-game. you'll have to train it yourself for EV's and what not, so really, there's no gaurantee that your pokemon will be EXACTLY the way you want them to be, unlike NB. that's why i despise NB. it's rediculous how NB players go around trying to redicule those who play in-game, and yet, they aren't even putting in any effort into TRAINING their teams. so NO, it won't be at all like that.

besides, i'm not sure how the TM and Item system will work, but i doubt that everyone will have immediate access to every move and item, thus making it more of a challenge for those who think they'll bring their NB strategies into the game.

TMs wont be able to be brought whenever you like and each pokemart will have a stock limit if they dont have it you cant buy it and tms will be quite rare

Whee, near mapping time! That means we're one step closer to being done! This game could be the game to play while waiting for Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. And, when it comes out, we can start work on mapping the Johto region. Then, when Nintendo announces they're making the next Pokemon game, we start Hoenn. When the next one is released, we can go to the D/P region work, then when Nintendo announces the next game, we finish whatever's after D/P's region. Then, every time they release a new game, we can start work on that region. Every Pokemon fan that has a computer will want this game.

Mapping seems fun. This could be the only completed pokemon MMORPG in existance.Well, one that has more features than Pokemon Crater. It would be awesome if right when this game was done and uploaded, someone made this a GLOBAL announcement. BSP might have to get a part-time job to pay for bandwith, though.


So TMs will be rare? What about HMs?
