Gastly was just plain awful in the first generation. It was just made of a bunch of dots scattered everywhere. I'm glad that Yellow version made a much better sprite for Gastly.

Also I think that Charizard and Venusaur looked pretty ugly on the green version of the sprites and Mew does look like it is high on crack (check my sig but it has been re-done by Cowrie).

Most of the Pokemon sprites in Green version looked hideous!

Golbat and Moltres in Red/Blue didn't look so pretty either. The Koffing sprite looks kinda weird. (almost as if he was upside down)

I also don't like the way they made Zapdos in Yellow.
