    This is great work, and it makes me feel sad that I can't make any tools, at the moment but I would try and help with the final bits of research through the hex editing, if you want. Just what hex editor are you all using?

    You don't need to sorry for not being able to program... We don't really need prgogramers that much curently, then most inportent part is that we get reseached some stuff... I'm using Hex Workshop, because I like the seach fucntion in it...

    Now I gotta ask about some stuff... Is the Italian/Spanish roms intirely different made? I been seaching for the traniers in both, and I did not find a singel number that had any thing to do with it... I have not been looking in a german or france rom yet...

    In my eyes it would be way more easy if anybody just would use english roms...

    Holy moley route 201 is 2 maps. So thats why it lags in the middle for me. Nah kiddin couldnt even tell. But hey that said it means route maps might after all be the same size as route maps in the advanced gen. But here no tiles just really cool blocky polygons and textures!

    No need to be sorry, we've got plenty of programmers. When I discovered mapping I was using 010 editor, then my trial ran out, so I used Hex Workshop for a bit, now I use HxD, and I would highly recommend that. And if you'd like to help with the research then please add me on msn if you have it.

    Wow, I thought Horus made some tools that worked on both English and Spanish. I might check the narcs for a Spanish one later, then I could tell you.

    Well I have no real idea about route size, but I see no real reason for them to divide it like they did. It could be that there is a maximum size for maps, which would be great.

    Poketext Console is working (reading an writing xml assembling roms etc) and currently in private beta.
    (there is an issue with out of date ndstool and working directory != executable dir which needs to be resolved)
    The xml format looks like this

    Yes they do, Gabe decoded them, and showed them about msn, I can't tell any thing... And he was only able to find the Olivene town... And then some caves we don't know where comes from...

    ...We've decoded everything? Why'd nobody tell me <_<... Anyway, there is nothing so far to suggest Gold and Silver remakes, except the "Arived From Johto".

    \v is the replace this by variable character \x is raw
    it seems that after a \v is always \x1\x0 but because i am not 100% sure i left that for now

    I thought it was impossible to hack ds roms. A-text, A-map,etc. only work for vba roms. What hacking tools could hack a ds game and wouldn't you need some kind of emulator for ds games in order to play it?

    You are truly freaking retarded. The old tools don't work, what do you do? MAKE NEW ONES. Or better yet, just use a hex editor, I can hack diamond and pearl almost fully in just a hex editor, maybe other people should try it.
