Yeah, I'm back with another "your history" thread. Shoot my hunger for memories and PC's past. (I'm just a dream eater anyway) *shot*

A couple of months ago, Astinus and I had a conversation about possibly making a fic dealing and stringing together the greatest moments of PokéCommunity, sorta like a top ten or maybe just an overall history type of thread. The idea proved too daunting and couldn't really work out anyway. XD And you all know I'm some forum history goof. So today, it finally sparked an idea, how about just coming to you all (The members) and flat out letting you write paragraphs of your greatest memories you've had here at PC. XD It's not like the Forum Life thread, it's more of your greatest and strongest memories & moments at PC. Whether it be silly mistakes, triumphs, best threads, maybe just one day that really sticks to you like bread and butter, there's an endless amount of memories here at PokéCommunity. :D Short, small, long, tall... doesn't matter how many you have. Feel free to share your PC memories & moments. :D

And actually, just searched. This is pretty much a longer... and uh, detailed repost of → this. Yeah, Bleach got to the point. I'll have mine up later. XD

Man. I think the thing I will never ever forget in my entire life is when I accidentally deleted a BUNCH of threads and put my password as the 'Reason Deleted'.

And I mean like, I deleted a LOT of threads that spanned over about two pages. <_<;;; My password was pasted all over the freaking page and I was like, "OH CRAP" And I had to change the reason for every thread manually, one-by-one. xD;

All the while, hoping some staff member wouldn't suddenly get the urge to waltz into the forum and be like, "Hey- Oh? What's this? A password? :O!"

Joining PC and... generally behaving like a nub. Let's not go there 8D;;;

Being some drama queen and getting permabanned in 2005, then having the staff tug-of-war over the ban and eventually reduce it to two weeks, then one week, then the person who banned me lifted it days early. A month later, I was modded in Other Chat, and later MCG. <_<; Then I was given s-mod and eventually Praetor. No one could spell Praetor though, and few people knew what it meant, so we changed the name to Assistant Administrator. Then I turned twelve :3 I was a dreadful moderator, and an even worse s-mod; for awhile I was basically considered to be that Nazi s-mod whose power went to her head :P I was way too overzealous! I can't remember when I hit 10k posts, but I was pretty psyched, as only a few people had 10k at the time. I had two fan clubs as well that lasted years, until I locked them both for some reason I don't even understand. XD;; Member Fan Clubs was a lot different back then, I think, and I really, really miss it. I remember when Fun Time in Pokéland was actually the Other Trivia and everyone got it confused, and when the Celebrations forum was set up, when the DCC was locked, when the DCC was remade monthly, when the DCC had its own forum and people would get banned from the DCC for a few weeks. I remember the T-Dome; I was too young for it when it was around, but I somehow got permission to view it anyway. @_@ The T-Dome was a disaster, and I imagine most people who will post in this thread won't even know what the T-Dome was. I remember when the Pairing Thread was basically a giant spam-RP thread, and people would post heaps of spam and then add the [very long] list at the end, much to the chagrin of the mods; I remember when pairing was serious business. I remember doing a giant PC family tree that included over 120 people, but I never finished it -- it resulted in some hysterical things like me being my own great-aunt and sister. I remember the Crush Thread, back when it was alive and fun, and bothering Jeremy over his crush until he finally admitted it after a few months 8D;; I remember the time a bunch of us -- Niko, Fixen, and I can't remember who else -- were making fun of Serebii Joe in the DCC for hours, and I remember all the mass conversations PC users would have. I sound old and senile :3

ETA: Oh, and when I convinced everyone for months I was fifteen! I was only eleven then. XD It was some huge, Area 51-style secret, MY REAL AGE. *dundundun*

ETA2: The Gentleman's Competition! The prize was a pineapple, I think, but nobody ever won it. It was some crossdressing-like challenge. The participating mods all had to behave with the opposite gender XD Except I played up really girly girl aspects. Oh, and the time the mods 'hacked' PC for April Fools' Day! We blacked out the forum skin, then made an account called Todoroki and kept posting with it alternately, pretending to ban a few members for effect, and changing the banner into something really ugly. And all the times we pretended Andy was banned :D

I remember closing a thread and it wasn't long after that I managed to get a PM from someone asking "What is a clod?" After a moment of confusion, I asked the member to be more specific. I remember when the staff forums were big spam holes and me and JA would post back and forth for hours/days on end, with random other staff popping in to go "WTF?"

I remember the PC President, and how much fun that was to run. :D

I remember being a mod and having a billion+one forums, and always asking for more. I remember Abby going "You've never posted there o.O" but still giving it to me :D

I remember the Webmaster Strike, and how we tried to get Geoff fired. xP (I also remember that it was Cody that reported us)

I remember right after I quit, I was as nasty as I could be to the uppers. :D

Hahaha, another mod mishap, this happened rather recently, but I'll probably keep it with me forever, like the password issue...

I modded the Art Gallery once upon a time, but it was a drag so I asked to be removed from Pixels and Art Gallery, and I don't know, but there was a report for the roleplay forums and I didn't bother to check for any other reports after I saw the first one, which was for the Art Gallery. So I thought the report bugging me was the Art Gallery report.

I went over there all high and mighty, and was like, "N00B!" So I tried to close it, and I was like, "... Wait a second. Why can't I close this?!"

And I had a hyperventilation moment before I finally remembered that I didn't mod the Art Gallery anymore. <_<

I deleted that post like the end of the world depended on it, and withdrew to my dork corner to repent. xD;;;

I haven't been around PC that long, but my fondest memory (or the only one that comes to mind at the moment) is one back in late January, early February. That's when I first started becoming a DCC poster. XD;

I was such a noob in the DCC, always straying off topic, being irritatingly friendly to the other members (I look back at it now and if I were at the receiving end at half the stuff I said back then, I'd want me out of the DCC as fast as you could say "noob" .__.;), just being plain annoying. Well, a certain member that we all know and love joined one day and we had the most random, noobiest conversation on the DCC that strayed from any sort of topic. I think the highlight of that conversation with that certain person was when he said "Holy son of a biscuit muffin." Due to our noobiness in the DCC, we became friends, and blahblahblah. XD;

Yes, that member was BeachBoy. XD

I've put my entry in spoiler tags because it's long and you'll either not read it at all or read it once and be like "I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO SCROLL PAST THAT EVERY TIME." So uh, I was considerate. ♥ I basically sat down and wrote everything that came to mind over the span of about 4 or 5 hours. Some of it probably doesn't flow and I'm missing a LOT but hopefully this'll spark the memory of some other people who'll post their own memories so I'll remember the stuff my mind skipped over. :'D

I remember back when I first joined the vBulletin, I thought member fanclubs were the weirdest things and didn't see the point at all. A while later, we abolished them, only to bring them back. To be honest, I still don't see the point but it makes people happy so... oh well? XD If it weren't for them, though, I wouldn't have come back.

I remember Cas, the accompanying reason for my rejoining. She was adored by the member base and quickly made her way up to mod. She had a huge art request thread and everyone knew who she was when it came to PC. One day, she got sick of the abuse from certain staff members and spammed MCG, the forum she modded, with a flood of "KAMIKAZE" posts. She had a few people join in, but it was mostly her doing. She hasn't come back since. This is belated, but she does apologize, even if I've assured her I'm one of like 5 people who remembers this. (Not that I'm helping by bringing this up but I don't think she'd even care. XD)

I remember when Member of the Month meant something! There were so few active members, especially right after PE2K split off, and everyone knew EVERYONE else, except the few people who didn't venture out of a single forum (and even then we usually knew of them). So when you got voted for something in MOTM? It wasn't just because you were friends with the person, it was because they knew you were the best at whatever it was, or you deserved the spot. Not saying people don't think their votes through now, but there weren't these different groups of friends back then. Everyone knew everyone else. Like I said in my post the last time this came up, PC was big enough that there was a reason to keep coming back for the fresh posts, but small enough that we were a tightly-knit community.

I remember getting modded! Man I was probably grinning non-stop for a week! (It definitely topped my grade eight graduation, which as far as I remember, was the day after I got modded.) That was back when mods got to pick where they modded. I chose to mod Other Anime (back before it was Japanese Entertainment!) and Mixed Voting Polls (back before it was OVP!) which were, as far as I remember, my two favourite forums. Not that it mattered because I was s-modded soon after. I wasn't even AROUND for this, mind you--I was on vacation and at this point I'd just been getting online at my grandpa's condo with his dial-up connection so I could check my email and maybe chat for 10 mintues with anyone online when someone popped up to tell me about it. So lol, I was surprised since it'd only been a few weeks since I was modded. I told my mom about it and she was like, "but you'll quit in September when you start high school, right?" ...riiiiiight, mom. (My parents actually know all about PC and that I'm staff and stuff. :| Haha, I share everything with them.)

I remember when old PC became new PC. The database was glitching like crazy. I'm not talking about your annoying database errors like we all know and love right now, I'm talking insane. We used to have to close the DCC before it got to 10 pages because threads with more posts than that were at risk of being automatically corrupted or deleted by the database. Sometimes a ton of posts would randomly go missing--I remember I lost a few hundred (thousand? I forget) at one point shortly before we switched. Regarding the switch, I don't know why I was like the last staff member to find out. I should've gotten a much lower number than 31 (not that I don't adore my ID number nowadays anyway) considering there are people who weren't even staff that have a lower number than I. It was very disorganized at any rate--all the staff members had to wait for Steve to get back online to give us powers back, haha. The place was modless right when everyone was going crazy trying to figure out what happened. :P

This was around when Abby was an admin, simply because she'd been helping out with the move. She kept the title for a while and did a lot for PC, including (at my request) changing the s-mod colour to #ff9900 where it has stayed ever since, save that short few days when the s-mods decided to make it that green colour. I think it was pretty much what the assistant admin colour is now since as far as I remember it was pretty much those three that wanted the colour change? I forget. It's taboo to change the s-mod colour.

Speaking of colour, I remember when the mods had no colour or formatting. I don't even remember who came up with the bright idea of at least bolding them so members could identify them. Later, they got a colour. I don't remember all the mod colours, but I do remember medium-dark blue, silver, the current steel blue, bright yellow, bright pink, a sea green-ish colour and... probably more? S-mods have only ever been colourless, a really ugly brown colour, and my beloved #ff9900. As well as that green but it doesn't count. D8 Assistant Admin used to be Praetor, probably the weirdest group of them all. It split off into the Abby usergroup (it never did have an official name) and the current Staff Admin group. So it's been dark green, pink, purple, dark blue, a really dark red/ash, gold/yellow, and the current light green. Possibly more? Staff admin has always been the red colour. Administrators were a blue before they became the purple. |D Phew! I've probably even forgotten some of the rainbow here.

Hmm, I remember the T-Dome! Dakota brought it up and we decided to give it a go. It was basically supposed to be a mature forum for debates and whatnot. However, since this is PC, things can't go smoothly, of course. :P We restricted the forum so that the only members admitted were... 13 and over, I believe? And moderators since we had a few under that age and if they were mature enough to be mods, they were mature enough to deal with that forum, presumably. As insinuated, it was a total wreck. I know we closed it at least once and then eventually for good. It ended up becoming a total spamhole for perverse topics. XD; And any "normal" debate we would have just got so heated that warnings and T-Dome bans had to be handed out left and right. In the end we decided that anything that should go in there could just go in Other Chat and if it was too risqué to go there then... what the hell is it doing on a Pokémon forum anyway!?

And speaking of crazy, ahaha, omg I remember the administrator Alakazam. :| He made a dedicated wrestling forum once and we were all just... "o_O" before another admin removed it. He also censored the word "pokemon" because he thought it would be funny. Um. RIGHT. Nevermind that it was irreversable. The word could be uncensored but all the fanfics, and posts, and threads that said "I JUST GOT ******* RUBY :DD" couldn't be changed back to normal. Head -----> desk, please. I remember once I closed a thread that he was FLAMING a member in, as an s-mod, and he got all up in my face over AIM about it. And then he asked me how he would go about demoting me in the admin CP. Um. First of all, I was an s-mod so why would I know how the CP works. Secondly, WHY WOULD I TELL YOU HOW TO DEMOTE ME!? Third... it's crazy easy to figure out just by clicking around in there. So yeah. He's... clearly gone now. XD

Oh man, I've already passed the point of no return as far as deathly tl;dr posts go so... might as well keep going.

I remember presidency. I suppose it was four years ago (!?) that we decided to hold our first elections. I think JKaizer and I worked on it, mostly. It lasted like half a year or something. Brittany won the first presidency and Forest Grovyle won vice presidency, only to get modded like a month later or something. XD Hmm, and then when we held the second (and last) elections, I believe it was... Paul (whatever his username is now) and... Cybex Mewtwo? We ended up just dropping it due to confusion or pointlessness or something.

I also vaguely remember get-togethers but fast-moving threads scared me back then (and still do) so I usually just lurked. Jake might have more fun reminiscing about that though. Kinda wish we could still do that nowadays but if the normal load kills the server I'd HATE to see what record-breaking loads would do. XD; I think the original purpose was to see if we could get the most users online ever. *shrug*

I remember quitting once way back in... I forget when. 2004? I don't remember but there was drama in the staff, I didn't want to pick sides, and I wanted to concentrate on school. That lasted all of a month before I gave up, came back, and asked for my spot back. I modded Webmasters Discussion ('cause it looked like it needed a mod) and Other Chat for all of... a day. :D The webmasters drove me out because I wasn't a regular and I was like "screw this" and took my s-mod spot back. I still stay the hell away from there, guys. Nice going. >:|

And then I didn't learn my lesson and quit alongside Jorfe last year. Grade 12 was taking a toll on me and I was losing my interest in PC and just... yeah. So on April Fool's Day we jumped ship and no one believed it at first and it was hilarious. And it was great being a normal member/supporter (though I didn't switch myself into the supporter group until we got the nice purple *_*) for a long time but... I just can't deal with not being staff. D: I hated only being able to report things and not being able to help out right away when I saw things out of place. I just... really missed it. Didn't help that like... as soon as I quit the "spark" came back and I was really active again for the whole time. So eventually by August? September? I worked up the nerves to ask for a position back. I felt guilty enough as it was so I asked for s-mod or assistant admin and got the latter. And then got promoted again a few months later anyway. 8| NEVER QUITTING AGAIN.

Omg, April Fool's day! Man, I love that day because of PC. :D I don't even remember some of the earlier pranks the staff have pulled but there was the year we faked the hacking and had that awful stark-black theme and managed to get the entire member base pissed off at us. We even had a fake staff forum prepared where we were just completely mean in it and we made it public for the day. Some people were so convinced that the whole thing was real that Andy had to post a thread telling them it was a joke and then the whole staff had to argue the case in the thread. XD; GOOD TIMES, FOLKS. I pathetically enough can't remember any others. :| We never planned them out as well as that one prank though, so they don't matter, haha. I did quite like this year's though. Some people looked damn good in a staff colour. XD

So um. It's like 5 AM and I should really go to bed but I know I'm forgetting stuff. If anyone listed here actually still visits or pops in... dude, speak up. XD; And if I've missed obvious people refresh my memory. Nostalgia is loooove.

Mostly I just... remember growing up here. I joined this place when I was thirteen. I'm ninteen now. Daaamn that was ages ago! I was still in elementary school and now I'm in my first year of university! That's crazy! PC was a constant for me through all of high school and I've nearly been here for a third of my life. It almost sounds pathetic when I say this but it really helped shape who I am today and if I had the choice, I'd go back and do this all over again. ♥

I remember once I closed a thread that he was FLAMING a member in, as an s-mod, and he got all up in my face over AIM about it. And then he asked me how he would go about demoting me in the admin CP. Um. First of all, I was an s-mod so why would I know how the CP works. Secondly, WHY WOULD I TELL YOU HOW TO DEMOTE ME!? Third... it's crazy easy to figure out just by clicking around in there. So yeah. He's... clearly gone now. XD

Oh man, I've already passed the point of no return as far as deathly tl;dr posts go so... might as well keep going.

I remember presidency. I suppose it was four years ago (!?) that we decided to hold our first elections. I think JKaizer and I worked on it, mostly. It lasted like half a year or something. Brittany won the first presidency and Forest Grovyle won vice presidency, only to get modded like a month later or something. XD Hmm, and then when we held the second (and last) elections, I believe it was... Paul (whatever his username is now) and... Cybex Mewtwo? We ended up just dropping it due to confusion or pointlessness or something.

I also vaguely remember get-togethers but fast-moving threads scared me back then (and still do) so I usually just lurked. Jake might have more fun reminiscing about that though. Kinda wish we could still do that nowadays but if the normal load kills the server I'd HATE to see what record-breaking loads would do. XD; I think the original purpose was to see if we could get the most users online ever. *shrug*

I remember quitting once way back in... I forget when. 2004? I don't remember but there was drama in the staff, I didn't want to pick sides, and I wanted to concentrate on school. That lasted all of a month before I gave up, came back, and asked for my spot back. I modded Webmasters Discussion ('cause it looked like it needed a mod) and Other Chat for all of... a day. :D The webmasters drove me out because I wasn't a regular and I was like "screw this" and took my s-mod spot back. I still stay the hell away from there, guys. Nice going. >:|

And then I didn't learn my lesson and quit alongside Jorfe last year. Grade 12 was taking a toll on me and I was losing my interest in PC and just... yeah. So on April Fool's Day we jumped ship and no one believed it at first and it was hilarious. And it was great being a normal member/supporter (though I didn't switch myself into the supporter group until we got the nice purple *_*) for a long time but... I just can't deal with not being staff. D: I hated only being able to report things and not being able to help out right away when I saw things out of place. I just... really missed it. Didn't help that like... as soon as I quit the "spark" came back and I was really active again for the whole time. So eventually by August? September? I worked up the nerves to ask for a position back. I felt guilty enough as it was so I asked for s-mod or assistant admin and got the latter. And then got promoted again a few months later anyway. 8| NEVER QUITTING AGAIN.

Omg, April Fool's day! Man, I love that day because of PC. :D I don't even remember some of the earlier pranks the staff have pulled but there was the year we faked the hacking and had that awful stark-black theme and managed to get the entire member base pissed off at us. We even had a fake staff forum prepared where we were just completely mean in it and we made it public for the day. Some people were so convinced that the whole thing was real that Andy had to post a thread telling them it was a joke and then the whole staff had to argue the case in the thread. XD; GOOD TIMES, FOLKS. I pathetically enough can't remember any others. :| We never planned them out as well as that one prank though, so they don't matter, haha. I did quite like this year's though. Some people looked damn good in a staff colour. XD

Mostly I just... remember growing up here. I joined this place when I was thirteen. I'm ninteen now. Daaamn that was ages ago! I was still in elementary school and now I'm in my first year of university! That's crazy! PC was a constant for me through all of high school and I've nearly been here for a third of my life. It almost sounds pathetic when I say this but it really helped shape who I am today and if I had the choice, I'd go back and do this all over again. ♥

- Being a n00b (kind of) and whining about how people weren't leaving proper critiques in Pixel Art, which was Home of the Sprites back then. It made the rules, even \o/ Where's that post? Oh, here it is!
I always found it frustrating that HotS was full of request threads, so I couldn't critique anything... XD

- And then, one day, HotS didn't take request threads. I would've partied if i was interested in HotS then!

- Also, in the Staff Feedback threads (remember those?), I was like "get a HotS mod that can give decent critiques!" I'm so embarrassed D:

- Being a n00b and whining to myself every time someone was modded in OVP. The only time I didn't was with Kaga. Either because he was way too cool, or because I got over it.

- Speaking of Kaga! I remember when Dakota was making useless threads in OVP to prove his point that random polls were getting out of hand in OVP. Kaga gave his opinions... somewhere... I remember Dakota making the threads better. XD;;; Oh, Dakota.

- Speaking of Dakota, I thought his post in my welcome thread was funny. XD

- Getting modded! Erica PM'd me. I was so happy :D I still have that PM saved... Because I'm lame :( And I still feel bad for going "I'm not replying to everything because I don't really have anything to say" or something in my congrats thread. DDDDD:

- Getting s-modded. I woke up to it one day. It was like, OMGWTFBBQ WHAT'S THIS STAFF FORUM??? and had a flipout when I checked my username. And I ate muffins that day before I got on the computer. This was back in the day when Kylie handed out muffins to everyone for celebrations. It was early congrats! 8D

- Oh, also, I tried getting the s-mod username color changed. I think Erica's still plotting my death for that one. XD Of course, it didn't go through. Good thing. The s-mod color is the ONLY color that hasn't changed since I joined PC. Except maybe the SA red, but Andy had green before red.

- Getting promoted to AA. Mewthree PM'd me because I wasn't on MSN for a freakout, because my computer was STILL broken. XD; I kind of blanked out for a moment. Then I refused to look at my blue username for awhile. Pity my name wasn't blue for long -- Jess and Mork wanted the green shortly afterwards. The green's okay, but I wish we still had blue. D:
The sad thing is, I don't remember which month I was promoted to AA. I remember I was modded in November (7th or 8th, maybe?), and I was s-modded May 20th. But don't expect me to remember when the hell I made AA...

- Having to get a new account when you changed your name! That's how I got rid of my noobish username :'D Good times!

- Hating Scizz for stupid reasons. \o/ I was jealous he made AA before me, but he really did deserve it before me. I don't know, I don't feel like a good AA.

- Also, when he got banned! And everyone going "WTF happened?" because Scizz didn't do anything wrong. I thought someone hacked his account or something, but then, he didn't get unbanned... o_O And there were threads months afterwards asking what had happened to him. Man, was he popular.

- Oh! Modding Matt (Drummershuff). I was only s-mod then, but I was in the MSN convo when someone modded him. We kept telling him he was going to get banned. XD
And he posted in his congrats thread, and it was his 10,000th post. It's legendary. \o/ It was also the only congrats thread I made. Except maybe a birthday thread.

- Two modding mistakes of my own that stick out:
1. One day, I noticed you'd get a different cursor if you went over the envelope images on the New Posts page, like the cursor you get over links. I was like "What does this do?" and clicked it a few times. The thread locked. I freaked out and fixed it within seconds, but still!
2. I locked a sticky thread -- you don't lock them for bumping. I didn't see it at first, and neither did the person who reported it. I poked fun at them afterwards. XD

- Trying to run for PC President. I think it was the second? It was the one that JK got banned during, because I read the "Okay, I added you" PM, and his name was crossed out XD;; I guess I had good timing?

- PC died for a bit, anyone remember that? Was it last summer? And then, there was a week it was out after that and Kwesi fixed it. Man, when PC was up, there were parties all around. \o/ I was on MSN that second time, and I think Marz had "holy s-, PC works" in his MSN personal message. and I went to Cowrie and went OMG PC WORKS and we all partied.
I was bored within a day XD

- Database errors will have a special place in my heart.

- After clicking on the old thread, I realized I like to repeat myself!! Good times, good times. \o/

There's only one thing that sticks out to me the most...one particular gaff I made back in early 2006.
I was a moderator in the Pixel Art section at the time, still a fairly new one at that. I remember closing a thread and it wasn't long after that I managed to get a PM from someone asking "What is a clod?" After a moment of confusion, I asked the member to be more specific. Then he replied to me and pointed out the "closing" post I made in that same thread. To which I stupidly had written...

"Please do not revive threads that are over a month old.

It made me feel a little sheepish, to be honest. XD; I edited my post of the pesky typo anyway. I don't know why that sticks out to me the most; I've done worst...like close another thread on the page that wasn't the one I meant to close and leave it like that for an hour.

Which reminds me of Chibi-chan's typoes in the Other Chat. She typed -Lick'd- in one of her posts for closing. I mean, for god's sake, it's spelled with an o. 8( 'tis in my screenshots. :D

Eh, real memories though, I have to think of real memories now. xD; 'kay, I'm still a fairly new member, I mean, it's only been a year, only. o3o I remember that huuuge PokeCommunity blackout for like, four whole days. Yeah, it was sooo boring. I had to waste my time at Bellossom Forums and be bored half to death by Nica flooding the cBox. I mean, who actually talks to a radio? 8( And to imagine, one whole week of that. -.-"

Oooh, and who could forget the April Fool's joke? That one was pure gold. A bunch of newbies flooded the Celebration's forum to celebrate their being Modded. I think one even asked how to lock a thread. .__________. And some members even screenshotted their blue usernames to use as avatars, which was... quite lame... buuut...

Aaaand... Toothache actually posted after, like, three hundred decades of inactivity.

I also remember Apostle banning me for 9 years and 7 months on PC's Shoddy Server. Of course, that was just a joke... but I am wayy too gullible and I almost, like, sued him and Shoddy for banning me. o.o" So yeah, within five minutes, I was unbanned. XD; I also remember when the Server was down for the first time, and Anti-Pop and ... well... uh .... me actually cried. But only a bit, not like, too much like, Dark_Azelf did, but... yeah.

Aaand, well that's about it. I'm a new-ish member. A year isn't that long. 8(

It's pretty sad when I can relate all the things you call "n00bish" to my everyday life at PC.

... I was such a noob in the DCC, always straying off topic, being irritatingly friendly to the other members.

I've only been at PC for a short while, so all the memories I have are either too insignificant to post, or too noobish to even mention. <_< But I suppose, for the sake of the thread, I'll list some off. Maybe I'll think of some "not so noobish" memories. Here goes:

Well, actually... I don't really have any. I used to freak out every time a mod or someone of higher status even visited my profile, but I soon found out it wasn't really anything to be proud of.

Opening that shop with Loki was one of my fondest moments. It was kind of like, "BAM! MOTSUKO'S ARTISTIC SKILLS: ACCEPTED!"

But other than that, I don't really have any other "great memories". I remember annoying the piss out of some staff members (sorry Lighting, Signomi, Loki, Arcanine, .fate, Blueberry, BeachBoy, and any others I forgot) but that's old news.

I used to do that back before I was a mod. 8( I really wanted to mod Q&F (shut up I was lame) and then when Shining Arcanine got modded and just randomly decided to take that forum too, I was so pissed off. I think I held that grudge for aaaaages. XDD; He never even posted in there unless it was like... AFTER I'd helped someone just to close the thread or recap everything in the thread. >:O

Oh of course not. *hide dagger* 8( But yeah, the SA red technically hasn't changed. Back when Abby ended up as a site admin and Jake and Andy were the only two praetors, they got to pick their own colours despite being in the same group. Andy picked that red and Jake had the yellow. Then when Andy ended up in the newly created Staff Admin group, he just kept the colour since it was different anyway. XD

Hahaha, another mod mishap, this happened rather recently, but I'll probably keep it with me forever, like the password issue...

I modded the Art Gallery once upon a time, but it was a drag so I asked to be removed from Pixels and Art Gallery, and I don't know, but there was a report for the roleplay forums and I didn't bother to check for any other reports after I saw the first one, which was for the Art Gallery. So I thought the report bugging me was the Art Gallery report.

I went over there all high and mighty, and was like, "N00B!" So I tried to close it, and I was like, "... Wait a second. Why can't I close this?!"

And I had a hyperventilation moment before I finally remembered that I didn't mod the Art Gallery anymore. <_<

I deleted that post like the end of the world depended on it, and withdrew to my dork corner to repent. xD;;;

And then you realized that Michii was the all supreme ruler of all art forums and you bowed down to her? No? -crawls back into cave-

Like several of the members who have posted here, I haven't bee here long. Regardless of the fact that I've only served as a slave to this forum for six months and twenty four days, I've had lots of memories.

When I was a wee little tike in January land, I got into a major ish forum fight. Don't ask me why, either I thought I was Miss Hot shot, or I just plain wanted to establish myself. Anyway, it was a thread on how awesome the staff members were. I remember at the time thinking of how random and not needed it was, and how moderators seemed to brainwash their miniuns into thinking that they were God [lawl, God]. I started a fight, and yeah, left the forum. How stupid of me. I feel bad for it now, and I'm friends with the kid I started it with. All well that ends well, I think is the saying. Although, I cannot control what happened a full six months and twelve days ago. :);

Man and I totally remember my three deadly fears during member-dom.

Ryoutarou, Arcanine, and Morkula. Man they were like "Do not mess with me, NUBZ". And I was like, "Yes. Sirs. Will not mess. <_<;;;;;;" And I still can't talk to Ryoutarou without having to re-read my post like, a gazillion times to make sure I don't sound like a dork. And er, I usually do anyway. Him and Andy are just so intimidating to mortals like me. |D Mork kind of lost his status as one of the three deadly fears after I figured out he was a music major. (Choir, for the f'ing win.) Because like, his awesomeness officially exceeded his scariness at that point in time. <3 But man, the way Mork does his staff business still scares the crap outta me. xD He like, chews 'em out and throws 'em to the dogs. And Andy's SUPER-ANGER-RANTS really freaked me out too, even though they're so enjoyable to read. In the back of my mind though, the thought, "Never get on Andy's bad side" just keeps stamping itself for reassurance.

And I remember my first staff convo ever. I remember that everyone was going on about 'Pink Socks', and I, being the innocent ditz I was, who was only there because I was David's pair (I remember very vividly being identified as 'David's Pair', too. <_< I feel so special.) and just that random RP mod, I was like, "What's a pink sock?"

And thus ignited Ryoutarou and Dawson, both going like, "OH, YOU WANT TO KNOW?!"

And everyone else being like, "YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW, YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW, DON'T TELL HER, DAWSON, RYOUTAROU!" Although it might've just been Ryoutarou? Don't remember. But then I remember learning what White Christmas meant. I've um. Never been able to quite get that definition out of my head. <_<

And yeah, I figured out what Pink Socks were before Ryoutarou and Dawson got the chance to tell me anyway. :<



I haven't been here long enough to write a whole essay like Erica though. Speaking of that, except, kind of not... WELL ANYWAY, I remember once upon a time, I was really afraid of calling people by their real names. Man it took me like, half a year to finally call David 'David' after I paired with him. <_< I know, I'm a retard. I still can't do it with some people. (Ryoutarou, Mork, the name just doesn't come out. D: And besides, Mork's name will always be Tyler after I totally PHAIL'd that friend test. Even though that was supposed to be the middle name, but whatever.)
