Of course pokemon is already a great game. But would you think it would be better as a live action styled game? Vote today!

Huh... interesting. I thought the same thing a while ago...
A LOT of aspects of the game would have to change, but it wouldn't be a bad change.
I'd definitely be cool with Pokemon having a live action like game to try out.

No, it wouldn't be the same. It would make speed worthless.

It is an interesting concept, but I would have to say no. As stated above, it would take huge amounts of processing power, and it would take forever to get used to it! It just wouldn't quite be Pokemon any more...

I wouldn't say it's a bad idea, but if they did change it to Live action then it probably won't have the same feel to it (Not that we can't adapt to change or anything).

Plus, Pokemon is doing fine using turn-based battles, so no.

Yeah i do think so actually.
Partly because i think that the most experienced players would have to block as well as attack.
But. However i think that the small kids who play would be slow and get frustrated O.o

thats probably the main reason it is the way it is
and i like it the way it is, its simple yet not incredibly boring. if it aint broke dont fix it

The same exact opinion. You don't need Pokémon characters to play a game with real-time battles. Get any fighting game and that's it, because the main Pokémon series are meant to be as they are. =P

theres already too many spin offs of pokemon and they are decent at best, maybe just leave it the same for awhile?

That would just turn it into a fighting game like Tekken... Or even worse... Runescape... *shudders* Lets just stick to originals ok? O_o

Still, it's not like many of them resist a lot. xD
Maybe Mystery Dungeon. I know a third (or fifth actually) game is being released? Ranger has one sequel, but I don't think it's that good still. And, well, things like Pinball shouldn't count. xD

I'm sort of at an impasse with this. On one hand I don't think the turn based battles are near exciting enough (In fact I find myself just anxious to skip through them and explore the game) but on the other hand I would hate to see Pokemon relegated to a button masher. I think something needs to be done to the battle system, not something big, but something interesting enough to add a bit of adrenaline to the battles.

    Hmmmm...(Puts on thinking cap XD)
Ummm...no, mainly because it just wouldn't be Pokemon anymore.
Sure, it might be cool to try it out but to change the main series into live action? I say leave it as it is....for now anyway.

I don't think it would work as a main series due to competive play requires stadegy and u can't have gtime to think it if they a slaughtering u with a costant sword danced bulet punch! it would be better for a spin off but then it would just be a pok'emon version of BRAWL?

Pokemon was always meant to be turn-based. Like Civilization.

Starcraft and Brawl are reflexive games. The Real-time system lends itself to such a style of game.

Civilization IV and Pokemon are games of thought. And the Turn-based system is the best for them.

OMG you just gave me an awesome idea, a real-time strategy game with pokemon like age of empires. Imagine starting your own town and recruiting pokemon as villagers and training pokemon for battle, damn that would be sweet. Its kinda like what they did with Halo and Halo Wars. patent pending.
