I never really liked the 'see 'em all' feature in Platinum. It was way too easy. Catching all the Pokémons would be a hassle, but at least it's challenging and hard to accomplished. Also, even though I would like to see some D/P/P features in this remake, this one is not one of them.

    Sinnoh pokemon?

I barely know a thing about HeartGold and SoulSilver, but I'm wondering what you think on the possibility of Sinnoh pokemon being found in-game without having to trade them over?

I think it's unlikely, but it'd be nice to have a few lesser Pokemon like Bidoof and Starly.

i hope they let you have the sinnoh evolved forms before the national dex. I also hope if they put the sinnoh pokemon in the wild its before the national dex. Cause it has always drove me crazy that new pokemon appear in spots you already have been after the national dex. i am left wondering where was they hiding before then lol

Yet there's nothing stopping you from catching all to begin with. It's not like you get anything for catching 'em all except a dumb certificate. Not like that's a bad thing but... not much of an incentive to attempt such a difficult task, especially in regards to those that aren't in a particular version of the game. WiFi remedies the problem many older fans have but then you have these idiots who are trying to get Celebi for their Glameow...

Even if we were to catch them all, I'd think they'd follow up like how they accomplished it in Emerald. We's still gain the National Dex after beating the Elite Four, and we'd still see new and old generation encounters, but we wouldn't have been able to choose any of the other region starters that they had offered. Even with that thought, I wouldn't expect them to change the way from what they introduces in DPPt as it was a pretty good success for the games and a lot of players didn't mind it too much as it never stopped them from still trying to catch them all if they desired to do so.

Sinnoh and Hoenn pokemon will likely be able to
be found after the pokemon League/national dex.
Like in Firered and Leafgreen after the pokemon
League other generations of pokemon were found
    on the Sevii Islands.

I hope that they at least include the evolutions of Johto/Kanto Pokemon in the regional Dex. With the whole Notched-Ear Pichu event involving trading the shiny to HGSS, it's implied that trading from DPPt to HGSS will be possible unlike FRLG/RSE.

    Thank God.

I'm more on the fence hoping Sinnoh Pokémon won't appear until after the National Dex is obtained. I mean I want it to feel more like the original rather than having much changed around to it, but becoming a bit more modern with the newer games. I feel they should hold up Sinnoh Pokémon evolution as well, but I definitely can tell compatability access will be allowed between the games at soe point of time, with the reference of the Shiny Pichu and all, like said above.

they might allow evolved forms of pokemon native to johto but wait for pokemon not found in Johto in a similar way to Dawn/Lucas's sister
Also Kanto will have pokemon from other areas like the Sevvi islands in FR LG

Maybe after the main game, like, some in Kanto or something. I'd imagine that it would have to tie in with the storyline how they got there, though. It makes some sense that some Kanto Pokemon are in Johto (Like Ratata), but I wonder how Sinnoh Pokemon would get to Johto/Kanto? I mean, they're not even close to each other, right?

i really hope that u dont see any until u get the national dex. seeing these on thew johto dex would just make the game feel less nostalgic.

the same thing applies to the new elovutions of older gen pkmn, i dont want to see them until the national dex

Sinnoh Pokemon... Hm. I wonder what'll be done with this. What with evolutions like Aipom-> Ambipom, it presents alot to think about. In FRLG, I've never gotten a Crobat, but i heard if you try to evolve Golbat pre-National Dex, that it just says ''Huh? Golbat stopped evolving!''. Hopefully they'll be more creative and realistic this time around. It's kinda dumb..
    ''AIPOM learned Double Hit!
    What? AIPOM is evolving! *flicker*
Huh? AIPOM is insecure, and wishes to wait a bit longer, to experience more of the world before evolving!''.
    Whoops. That was awful.

I would rather them keep the "Huh, it stopped evolving" sequence to the native Johto Pokémon, because there were quite a few of 1st and 2nd Gen Pokémon that could evolve into 4th Generation Pokémon, and to me having them on out team before the Elite Four will just change the fact that it's a remake rather than a new game completely of Johto. Except I wouldn't mind seeing some of them show up on the Sevii Islands, that thought isn't too bad actually.

Well, it's like how did Hoenn, Johto, and Kanto Pokémon get to Sinnoh in DPPt. It's just like reality, the migration or movement of animals from one location to the next and then the production of breeding between the lines.

Also, what was said, I'd like to keep the nostalgic feel of the game as well without the newer Generation in too early.
