Apparently this is getting more well known. I want to see how well known. Any of you guys heard of it?

Gender Dysphoria is a complex condition. People who have it believe that they were somehow born into the wrong body, and they often prefer to live as a member of the opposite sex.

I found out about it a while ago, when I met this really cool girl, she has Gender Dysphoria.
Personally, it doesn't bother me at all.

Meh. If you mods think this thread could be offensive, feel free to close it.

I wouldn't feel bothered at all. Wether a friend is male, female, or has gender dysphoria, they're a friend, and their gendr doesn't change that. That's how I feel towards everything, like race, et cetera.

I've never heard of it. It probaly wouldn't make a difference to me though, a person is who a person is. You can't change that.

    ...naoto, plz?

I found out about the NAME for this from Persona 4, but I always knew it existed.
Uhh. In my humble opinion, people tend to think that way because they think they're "not good enough" the way they are.

I don't think it should really "bother" anyone; it's not up to anyone else besides that person how THAT PERSON feels about themselves.

    idk.

A person is prone to feeling usure about their gender, sexuality, religion, or any such big decisions. A human instinct is, to change or adapt to what makes them feel comfortable, so if a person feels uncomfortable in any way, with their gender, it's understandable that they will change themselves to do that.

As a person themself, they are still always the same person, the same clothes in different trunks, so to speak.

I met someone on a forum who had it once, he posted pictures, he looked better as a boy then a girl though :/. But everyone ended up accepting him and everything was fine and I also met one at school who was a girl and she wasn't to bad either. Either way I never really cared about it, I look real weird myself most of the time so I have no right to judge :3.

I've heard it before. They are part of the LGBT community, of which I am an activist so I should know about it. It doesn't really bother me, as long as their happy, I am.

*Raises hand* I have GID. I probably -knew- about it as early as age 11 or 12; but I wasn't officially diagnosed and put on a course of HRT for correction until after a traumatic incident when I was 16. Flash forward to now and I've been living as a woman for many years; I don't even think about it much as of late. Yes, I still have a penis ~ but you wouldn't know it to look at me.

Yes I have heard of it. Actually one of my friends feels that she is a man who was born into a womens body.
Shes now taking hormones to look more like a guy. It doesn't bother me though.

I've heard of it before, and as my philosophy tends to be "live and let live", it doesn't bother me at all.

I'm pretty sure I don't have that, but I wouldn't mind knowing what it would feel like to be of the opposite sex.
Though, don't we all wonder that at some point in our lives?
I mean, I don't think about it all the time, but I do think about it every now and then.

    I'm just overly curious I guess. :P

Do you mean like a sex change? Cause I think that's the only way you can "change" bodies. But, if you get changed from a female-male, you will still have female reproductive organs and viceversa.

I think, I'm not totally sure.

There was an FtM that went to high school with me, I made friends with him because the subject fascinated me at the time. so yeah...I am well-aware of Gender Dysphoria and transgenderism in general. :P
