Uuh, just wondering... where exactly is it confirmed that the Weather Trio will be encountered in Johto?
thats what i would like to know. All we know is that HG/SS is a remake of GSC. Which means it well have just about everything GSC had plus some with the 4th gen rules.

Now I wan't you to fully understand for a moment how memory in those games work.

now if Pt used 130mb... that does not mean having two regions the size of Pt's Sinnoh well also take up 260mb for one game. Kanto + Johto would not be like that.

the coding tells the system what to do with the giving artwork and sounds. The artwork include, tilesets, sprites, trainer sprites. ect.

Lines of code does not take up that much room. Now if this game was completly 3D then I would worry about space for Hoenn.

And music and artwork takes up most of the memory, and I doubt it well have to be doubled if they are making two regions. they just recycle it. Just using the same tileset and some of the same sounds for both regions. You well be amazed how much space is really used up.

I never said that the memory would work like that. Johto itself with the new features may probably be 130 MB itself, a full Kanto could be anywhere between 30-60 MB. This is the fact that Kanto's music is remixed as well (funny to say it's a remix of a remix) and assuming that we get a full Kanto (no more worries about memory this time). And like Faint Bushfire said, not many games used the whole 264MB.

As for the Weather Trio, it's really old news. Groundon is in SS and Kyogre is in HG. If you trade to get both in one game then Rayquaza will become avaliable.

I knew the trio was in teh games, the question was where and how? is it really in the johto region? could they have put them both in the kanto region? do we know where they are?

that would be interesting, but i think they wont put it in since it is a gold/silver remake. it would be better just to make a game with all the regions in it.

Nope, but I think it would be safe to say either in Johto or Kanto after the E4. We can't speculate Hoenn because of this. In fact if they show up in Johto then their story sort of correlates to the Legendary Birds. They appeared in Sinnoh, yet we saw nothing of Kanto.

I believe that there might be a place similar to the Sevii Islands where Hoenn pokemon can be caught.

Well, the Legendary Birds could fly. Scratch Kyogre because it can swim across the ocean to Johto- but can you really picture Grouden moving across from Hoenn to Johto? Walking? Honestly...?

This actually looks pretty fake to me.

Looks like somebody just tried to recreate the Hoenn map. However, if this did really turn out to be true...(which I do SERIOUSLY doubt) I wouldn't like it very much. Isn't two regions (Kanto and Johto) enough? And isn't this a remake of Gold and Silver? Hoenn wasn't in Gold and Silver.

I am going to try and explain this once more. But this time I well try and show this in maters of movies and hollywood because I really wish you would learn the difference between a port and a remake.

    Port:

The Movie The Little Mermaid was made long ago before DVD. Now that DVD is here Disney devided to bring it back for DVD, they also enchanced its picture quality and gave it a few extras to view. But it's stil the same classic Little Mermaid many of us has seen. That is a Port, moving from thing to the next with little or no change.

    Remake:

The movie Cheaper by the Dozen. That is not an original movie. It's been done before, same title, same idea of family with 12 kids. Now somewhere in Hollywood they decided to bring it back but this time they wanted to make it more modern. So they changed a lot of the story and cast. Its just as if the original never happened.

Now HG and SS is a remake. Not a Port, so anything that was not in GSC can now be in HG/SS. HG and SS is as if GSC never happened, you well start of in Johto, pick either of the same starter pokemon, has 16 gyms, focus on Lugia and Ho-Oh, gen 2 pokemon, ect... but because this is a remake they can add whatever they desire. They added the Sevii island to LG and FR did they not? were they in the originals... what about contests and double battles?

And Rayquaza can fly, but Groundon got around in Emerald somehow. And remember, this is pokemon almost anything can happen.

I didn't say it had to make sense. xD
I'm just trying to be hopeful because all this mindless speculation has got me to really want Hoenn in the game. ¬¬

This about sums things up. I mean really and I said this before, If they did add Hoenn who? tell me, WHO!? would not get this game?

Hoenn probably wasn't good as an individual game but now that I think about it, if they do add it we wont have to see Gen 3 Pokemon while we explore the story, which in fact will give us that original feel. Now about adding Hoenn if it turns out to be true, obviously thats something you could do after you have dominated the original story and are bored out of your mind with reccuring actions.

I honestly see no problem now with Hoenn being added, but all we can do is wait. First of all lets wait for that Kanto announcement before we all have a pointless arguement whether Hoenn is added or not, the developers know what their doing, I mean their giving us HG/SS which we've been wanting for years now. Lets just see how they swich it up.

exactly. This is a game with no logic at all. Such as...

There is no way a mother would let their 10 year old kid leave home alone to explore a world full of magical monters...

but aside from that. does it say anywhere by chance that their is only one groundon and one kyogre?

It would also give them an excuse to throw in Latias & Latios after all. Was it even previously confirmed that Kyogre and Groudon were supposed to be in Johto or just in the games? They are still silouettes now anyway.

If Kanto is in which it will be then we can get Mewtwo and probably an actual in game event for Mew.

In all, it would be a smooth move so they wont have to do much scrambling in the future to allow us to obtain these legendary pokemon.

Also I have a question, if Hoenn is in, do you all think we will be able to dive again?

To tell the truth I would be happy either way, but with Hoenn it would feel like an overkill. Wouldn't it be better to wait of Gen 5, where things are upgraded even more (and hopefully pokemon that need evos and pre-evos get them).

but aside from that. does it say anywhere by chance that their is only one groundon and one kyogre?

This is the games, there is only one legendary (anything else is either traded or hax). In the anime there may be many...but that's the anime.

I remember hearing in the anime characters saying look, a Kyogre! so Im not sure.

Adding Hoenn would also give the exuse for a Battle frontier,
Which would give you even MOAR stuff to do afterwards.

Change it up a little bit.
Maybe The frontier has changed in the future?
    New frontier brains? Places?

    Bleh.

However it comes out, I'm happy.

Dude it will be awesome but very unnecessary,
having Kanto is to much now Hoenn is to Much.
