Something that counts your steps?? Sorry for being stupid. Will it come with the US versions??
I don't see why not. It adds a fun feature to the game, and would also probably help NoA make more money. And isn't that what it's all about for Nintendo? Captain N, anyone?

And yes, a pedometer is an item that counts your steps. As for more information on the Pokewalker specifically, there are some posts in the Help Thread, and were threads about it that were bumped off the first page.

To answer the OP, I'll be bringing mine to work with me. I do a lot of walking there, and I'll be working more than playing the game. I'll just have my DS with me to bounce around the Pokemon I have with me.

Not to school, no. To work, yes. Especially if its one of those jobs where I stock shelves (video store or a grocer) or deliver flyers or mail.

Coffee runs for the caffeine addicted inebriated coworker...

I hope so and would think it would. All considering the Wii and Wii Fit 1 & 2 and the bazillion education/pro-health games for the DS.

If not, it may do well as a stand alone chunk of electronics packaged in excessive amounts of everyones favorite plastic.

That would be amazing!! I don't walk that much, I mostly sit on the couch all day, it would be a surprise to see actually how many steps I take a day!!

I've taken mine to college on several occasions.
I usually tuck it under my shirt, along with my USB sticks, which I carry, being a Programming Student and all.
    So, it's nice and discrete.
Plus, alot of my lectures are on the fourth and fifth floors.

Its nice to see such openess to not caring what others would think of you if you wore it. Like i always say who cares just do it if you like it. I would wear it all the time, even when going to the gym since its 20 blocks from my place! wow i wonder if it would really level a pokemon quick.

It would so get taken out of the market. I don't know if any one remembers the WII fit calling this girl fat and they didn't like it so they did some lawsuit or something. It was ridiculous.

It probably will come with the pedometer because ive seen this one game for the DS that counts your steps and it comes with two pedometers that sync with the ds to let you unlock games and other type of stuff.

On a side note i read some where that to be healthy one needs to take 10,000 steps a day or walk hmm i think it was 40 blocks or 60 i don't remember quiet well.
