i did the thing with the decrypting of the rom, but now i cant figure out how to get the no black screen code to work. after i choose which game i want, it stops at the black screen like it did before...

mandycat- after encryption of rom (assuming you have No$gba 2.6a):
Go to Emulation Setup and change the Reset/Startup point to GBA BIOS (Nintendo logo)
Now, go Options and Save the options options.
Close the Emulator (Do not reset the cartridge!).
Now open the Emulator and Rom, load it like a real cartridge. No black screen.

Hi, I'm trying to play HG on no$gba 2.6a but I keep getting the black screen after I put my name. I have the black screen fix code inputed and turned on but it's still not working, anyone know what's wrong?
I tried desmume 0.9.5 x86 and it doesn't have the black screen, but the link that Destiny put up says that desmume x86 has been reported to crash often so I don't want to use it (plus it's slower than no$gba)

I fixed the black screen problem via AR code,and my game is freezing but it´s no problem because I´m saving my game as much as I can....

But when my Pidgey grew to lvl 13,my rom crashed and when I loaded the game,he was at level 10 which is crazy because I saved game when he was at 12....any solutions? :)

NO$GBA right? You gotta save, then close it, then start it back up.

I have been playing Pokemon Heart Gold on my computer using No$gba 2.6, but now I have an Acekard 2i and want to put my Heart Gold .sav file on my Acekard. I found the Shuny Save Game converter and I converted the file. When I put the newly converted file on my Acekard it acted like the save file wasn't there and proceeded to start a new game. I don't want to lose my save data that I started on my No$gba. What am I missing a step?

Note: Both the .sav and the .nds are named exactly the same thing except for the extension. Both the .sav file and the .nds file are in the same folder.

This is what it looks like on the website when I am converting it.

Save Games to convert: "Path to the file"
Source Format: No$GBA (.sav)
Target Format: Acekard 2 | CycloDS | EDGE | M3 Simply....and the list goes on....

I seems like I am doing everything right, but it just won't work. Thanks for your help.

thanks, but like I said I already have the code and it's enabled when I start the game but I still get the black screen
maybe I'm checking the wrong box? I have "action reply DS" checked and I'm using no$gba 2.6a

moon_light- Make sure you 'tick' the box every time you load the emulator because No$gba 2.6a doesn't load cheats automatically.
Are you using the Japanese version (with english patch) or the actual USA version?

Yeah NosGBA....my emulator crashed,so I reinstalled it and when I copy my save to the new emulator folder,Pigdey was at lvl 9....I don´t get it ...:D

Has anyone tried the fix on Romulation that came out this morning?! I couldn't save after Whitney's gym without a crash, now I seem to be going along just fine!

yes I tick the box as soon as I open it, I even tried enabling the code first and then restarting the rom but it still doesnt work

I'm told that you can't fast forward on desmume, that's the bad thing about it
otherwise it seems to work better than no$gba since there are fewer crashes

Hey, guys i'm a ROM hacker for HG (check the link in my sig...), but i need to beat the game. On my R4 I got to the 4th gym and, after beating it, the game became horribly unplayable, and it would crash every few SECONDS!!! is there a patch for r4 original (not fake) or M3 ds Real? because My friend also has a m3, and i might be able to borrow it...

I do save often on No$GBA with black screen cheat and Firmware.bin in the No$GBA folder.
This raises the event counter to 66 before a crash!
Has this worked for anyone else?!

Ive downloaded a few different U soul silver roms, and ive used several codes and methods to make them not crash, ive got passed the black screen, played for a while but always eventually they all crash its either "image failure" or an bios error...are there any hacked non crashing roms of this game yet?, thanks.

everyone seems to be having problems, I don't think there's a non crashing rom (yet) but I hope there will be soon

how did you get pass the black screen? the black screen cheat isn't working for me no matter what I do, and I enable the cheat right after I open the rom
(I'm using no$gba 2.6a)
