I wonder if there might be four stage pokemon as that man with the poliwrath in celadon , said he wondered if his Poliwrath will evolve into a frog pokemon... though this might be a reference to Politoad...

That's a reference to Politoed. It's been in there since GSC; have we had 4-stage pokemon yet? No. Also, four-stage pokemon will like upset the whole idea of the game, just like changing the battling system or the starting types. At any rate, I won't play them again. ):

I don't want it this region to be based on Ny it's too polluted... at least Nyc... I want clean air take us back to japan...:'(

You better watch what you say about where I live. With all the terrorist threats and all. Everybody's on the edge. It's not a joke. Last time I recall, Los Angeles had the smog polluted sky that one needed their headlights on to drive through at 12 in the afternoon. NY's cleaned up quite a bit.

And we are speculating, this could be anywhere. Remember

    Back on topic...

I agree with the other users on here(can't remember which ones) about needing more dark and Electric pokemon. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing Fire or Steel types, I'm tired of having ponyta as the only fire available if I dont pick a fire starter. I think it's time for some diversity.

Also, I think it would be healthier for the game if they cut down on the pre/evos of existing pokemon. They're becoming too rampant.

Oh, im sorry about that... I know that California is more horrible than NYC thank goodness I don't live their...
I agree that we need more fire types, maybe a Poison/fire Pokemon based on combustible gasses. We saw what looked like a factory... maybe it's a power plant of some kind... we could find some new electric Pokemon and maybe find a rock/electric Pokemon in that cave with the rocks that radiate electricity.

my point exactly! last time I checked no pkmn cities had pollution problems, and Japan is ranked 5th in the world by CO2 emissions so yeah their cities are polluted, yet in the games it doesn't appear as if the Japanese cities the pkmn cities are based off of have any pollution. for crying out loud not even the power plant in Kanto pollutes XD.

Actually, there is people in Kanto saying there is problem with the polution (Vermillion and one other city), but that's about it. Bet its just the only way they could Think of to add grimer to the game :) but, what I'm saying is that they dont HAVE to make an exact copy of the place they base the region on, so dont worry about pollution will ya?

Uh, maybe if this region was based on LA we could have a evolution to Muk... a giant water snake of gunk... because California has dirty rivers... shivers...

Well I'm not offended, but I know other people might be. I don't have any complaints about California, it was a nice place when I was there(San Diego). I just know people get offended if you criticise where they live.

And the West coast theory may have some legitimacy because Sea otters do come from the California and Oregon, but they are also found south of there too. We'll have to see. I would rule out Korea because they did say it is far away and Korea is relatively close.

I wasn't critizing I just stated a fact. I know someone who told me that as he was traveling in California he saw a brown river full of pollution... this is why I said this... Sea otters... I love sea otters... I live in the state north of you...

Wonder if this new region will have a mountain... I know California has mountains but does new york have any near New York city... I wonder if they will have a statue of liberty... I want a Eagle based bird pokemon in the first route if it does take place in the US!

There's also speculation that Hiun City might be based on Manhattan Island. Keep in mind that the Corocoro scans said that Isshu is very far away from Kanto/Johto/Hoenn/Sinnoh.

well it wouldn't make sense to put towers that were destroyed in a game. besides, the Freedom Tower (now called One World Trade Center) will be done with construction by 2012 so they could always put that in instead.

world trade center- GTS- amirite? wouldn't that be perfect?

Oregon and Washington are nice places. Comfortable climate

NY has catskills about 100mi north, but most of The southern part of the state is relatively flat. Same thing with NJ and CT. I do agree that if they use this area that the landscape will be relatively boring unless they mix and match places from across the world which is what I hope they do. Who wouldn't want to see the Nile River,Mount Everest, Maui, NYC, London, Seoul, Goa and Guangzhou in the same proximity?

lol, the more overhead shots you show us the more we're leaning towards it

Yeah, I have no doubt, thats where I'm going to school, but I just wanted to give people a different perspective. lol your right, I bet it would have the same exotic feel if Japan owned NY. They basically do if you thing about it. They own Rockerfeller Center, and the Chrysler building
