They definitely need to add more dual fire types besides fire/fighting. How about a fire/electric?
There are quite a few dual fire types that aren't fighting:

    Charizard, Ho-Oh and Moltres (fire/flying)
    Houndour and Houndoom (fire/dark)
    Marcargo (fire/rock)
    Numel and Camerupt (fire/ground)
    Heatran (fire/steel)

As for me, I too would like more fire types. I quite like them a lot as I would need at least one in my team to get by the games, so there needs to be more more of them. D:

Ghost and Ice I tried them and I like them too. Like the others though, I tend to not use Ice types very much because I would have a water type learning at least one ice move. However, with the water types needing at least two water type HMs, I tend to get an ice Pokemon from time to time. XD As for me wanting more of them, ice I would like to see more while ghost I think we have quite a few already.

Definitely! We didn't get enough Fire types at all! We could use some more Ice types, too. I love them, but there are only a select few that I like using. Ghost is great, too, but there aren't enough good ones.

I don't really care what each pokemon type has in number
I don't care too much about number too. I mean, water is my favorite type even though many people complained about there being too many of them. XD However, it would be nice to have some types get some love for variety and such.

I feel like there needs to be a bigger variety of Fire and Ghost types. Especially ghost...I can only think of like 6 or 7 off the top of my head.

I am not seeing any love of the Dark types. There are only 23 Dark type Pokemon. I want more.

@Resultz: Whoops. I forget about most of the new Pokemon (until I play the game and write the fics), so I appreciate you correcting me on that.

Speaking of Dragons, I'm going to hop off the bandwagon and say that I don't want to see more Dragon-type Pokemon. They're supposed to be rare and powerful, and to have a lot of them running around wouldn't make them seem special. I'm personally fine with a small amount of Dragons, and not having a lot to chose from.

It's the more common types that I'd like to see more of. Like Fire, and definitely Bug, as others have recently mentioned. There are a lot of bugs on Earth, so I would think that in the Pokemon world there would also be a lot of different Pokemon with the Bug-type. Due to the rarity of Bug Pokemon, I haven't played around with the type as much as I want.

Those who have pointed out that the region doesn't look overly cold are correct, but the seasonal cycle shows snow. So there's no reason there can't be lots more Ice-types for winter now. ^^ I'd like to see more Ice-types, as well as a bonus +Def hail boost to them to match sandstorm's +SpD boost to Rock-types, since Ice-types are frail as a general trend. Fire-types would be nice too, preferably with lots of interesting typing combinations. Can I say... Fire/Water? =p As for Ghosts, the more Ghosts, the better. I'd love a Ghost/Steel (bulky for competitive battles ^^;;) and Ghost/Water, though. A ghost of the sea, lurking...

As for Dragons, I agree with the sentiment that they're supposed to be rare and unique. They're also inherently a very powerful type -- don't want too many of those running around. :x

We have seen many new Psychic pokemon, so I think psychic will be the most plentiful type in Isshu. Or water, as there are always heaps of water types. I really hope there are more Dark types this time round that dont have Ghost, Grass or Normal as their second typing.

They have shown mostly Fire and Psychic, which is okay but I really want to see more Ghost and Dark types.

I need more fire-types... I really need a non-legendary fire type for my team.... I'm currently stuck with Camerupt...

I'd like to see more Ice and Ghost types available near the start of games :) In every game you start off by going through small, quiet routes with generic Normal and Bug types, wouldn't it be cool if you started off near an icy mountain and could find a polar bear or snow dog Pokémon? Or even if the ineviatable early-game forest contained ghosts (I suppose this did happen to an extent with Eterna Forest :) ) .

I agree that Fire types are reducing in numbers, but they could be running out of ideas; most Fire types are based on animals which live on rugged kinds of terrain (camel, horse, wolf), what is there left? But as other people have said, I've thought for a while that a Fire/Ghost Pokémon would be cool, like a candle phantom or something :) .

As for people saying Ghost and Dragon-types should be rare, I respectfully disagree. The rarity of a pokemon should be based upon how high its stats are, not its typing. For instance, uber-tiers would be the rarest of all because of their very high stats and learnset potential.

The kinds of pokemon I want to see:

-Pure Flying, Ice, Rock, Ghost, Dragon, Dark and Steel-types! These types only have a few single-typed pokemon, while Flying has none.

-Another dual Grass/Dark-type! Nuzleaf/Shiftry or Cacturne are just poor excuses as neither of them have a physical design that makes them appear as if they emphasize the dark arts at all. A grape/berry pokemon line would be much better, as most berries in real-life have a natural dark coloration, or something like Youko Kurama's ojigi plant from Yu Yu Hakusho.

-A non-reptilian Grass-type starter line for once. I thought reptilian characteristics are suppossed to be representative of the Dragon-type.

-More Bug, Grass and Poison-types with at least decent stats.

-More pokemon based upon inanimated objects.

-New type combos that haven't been done before.

-An alternative evo. line for Torchic, so we can one dual Fire/Flying-type that isn't either reptilian or a legendary.

-Some actual ???-type Pokemon. There are already some existing Pokemon, like Ditto and Arceus, who sound like they can fall under that category.

-An Agahnim lookalike. Nintendo owns this character, thus they easily make a pokemon out of him. Probably could another pure Dark-type legendary as well.
