I just played in perhaps my most grueling match I've ever played, Co-Op vs. beginner AI.

I was Corki and ended up 10/12/11. My teammates were Cassiopeia, Annie, Cho'Gath and Tristana.

I started the game going mid. For some reason, after I'm halfway down the lane, I notice that Tristana's following me. Now I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure Corki is one of, if not THE best mid character in the game, and most people don't put more than one person in the middle lane.

SO, I begin to tell Tristana to move to top lane, where Cassiopeia is defending by herself. She doesn't move after I tell her twice, so I think language is the problem. Thus, I ping her to top. Twice. She still doesn't leave, so I'm forced to be underleveled and fight with someone who's unbelievably stupid and that I'm unable to properly communicate with.

The Annie we're fighting eventually gets to about 40% HP (at around level 3 by this point), so I decide to make my move. I QWE her, and she lives with about 10 health, getting away. Meanwhile, the turret ends up killing me. Now this could've been perfectly avoided had Tristana merely hit Annie with a BASIC attack.

Pissed off, I head top to help Cassiopeia, who's visibly struggling against the nasty combo of Miss Fortune (have I mentioned I hate her? I really do.) and Soraka. After a few mishaps, we eventually gain enough ground to push back (AoE is a godsend), but by that time, I hear "Your turret has been destroyed!". Looking at the map, who else but Tristana fumbled the first downed turret of the match. I checked the score; by this point, she was 0/4/0. I was none too happy about this.

Regardless, so as the game progresses, it becomes blatantly obvious that Tristana and Cassiopeia are absolutely terrible, since they'd rather push bottom and top, respecitvely, than join Cho'Gath, Annie and I for team fights. We manage to win most of them because our Cho'Gath is very skilled, but I die often due to the fact that they always targeted me, and I'm quite inexperienced with Corki.

So we gain enough ground to destroy their lanes, and team fight after team fight is erupting. Cho'Gath is something like 20/0/4 by the time we start pounding their base, Annie being on par with my kills, below me in assists, and much below me in deaths. However, once we make the push, Annie is nowhere to be found, and Tristana and Cass are still obsessed with pushing their respective lanes while Cho and I have to fight the entire enemy team by ourselves. Luckily, these are beginner bots, so we have quite an easy time taking advantage of their low health and high tendency to attack, picking up many kills and assists on the way. I check to see what Annie's doing, and look at that, Annie is jungling! Isn't that great, when two team members end up doing all the work?

So after about 40 minutes, we eventually win. I check the team score. Cassiopeia went 1/11/4, but that's not as bad as Tristana, who went 0/22/9. I was tempted to report Tristana, but decided I wasn't that big of a prick.

But the worst part is, I got 0 IP/EXP for the fight, due to the fact that I'd been playing too many games with AI, despite the fact that my previous match had been PvP (though it was a loss; I suppose you have to win for it to count?).

So yeah, I'm pretty dissatisfied with how that went.

Also, the servers are terribad and Riot needs to improve them. :\

Did you just complain about people playing terribly against the AI on beginner difficulty?
I think it's time you actually start playing normal games or atleast up the difficulty to intermediate. Not many people play Co-op vs AI seriously. Especially not on beginner difficulty.
It's mainly used to familarize yourself with a hero you don't have a lot of experience with, and/or when you want to test out a new build or jungling routine.

I can follow you on your issue with the person playing Tristana, but your rage against Cassiopeia is completely unwarranted. The player is likely not very experienced at the game thus their reason for playing on beginner difficulty.
And the Annie likely just stopped caring halfway through the match.

Absolutely love this game, it's my current addiction. My favorites are Annie, Lux, and Teemo (who is now nerfed). Q_Q

Ugh Teemos are such a pain to lane against. Early it isn't too bad but later, all those damn mushrooms annoy me.

New discussion topic: Seeing as how a new patch will come out, nerfing and changing things, if there was one thing you could change or add to LoL what would it be?

I would change it so that there was less emphasis on actual kills, like who gets the last hit. In a team fight, with abilities flying, anyone can get the last hit but whoever dealt the most damage should get the kill. Or at least just as much gold and xp as the person who got the last hit. At the end of the game, there are stats for damage dealt, so why not reward people who make an effort to tear people up in-game.

I do believe gold is now earned depending on the amount of damage you've dealt to the champion. You still get a miniscule award for the 'last hit,' though.

I might be wrong, but that's what people have been telling me.

Ooh I love how my topic post is the first of this page. :)

I knew you earned gold by assisting but the person with the last hit gets a hefty 300 gold while a little goes to the people who assist. Plus if someone on a killing spree gets killed, the person with a last hit gets much more gold.

    Ohh, well, I see.

Also, this thread dies fast. Not enough LoL players. =( Answering the above question, though. I just want more Teemo skins.

    Easter Bunny Teemo! :D

If I could add something, it'd be new maps, and I'd scale back the pricing on a lot of champions. Every new champion doesn't need to be 6300, Riot, and one of the last 6-8 champs not being 6300 is something that needs to change. It takes a lot of time for me to save up IP, and I do need a good ~14000 IP for rune sets, so I'd really appreciate not having to spend a good chunk of that on champions that really just aren't worth it.

Regardless, since the rotation, I decided against waiting on Corki. Carries that are squishy aren't really my playstyle. I bought Urgot instead, who I've been having great success with. A lot of people underestimate my damage output and engage when they shouldn't, and I W/Q them to death. His R is also a buttload of fun.

I plan on purchasing Janna and Sion soon as well. I heard Sion's been nerfed; can anyone with experience playing him tell me if the nerf makes him not worth buying?

I used to play Fiddlesticks all the time, but ever since the last free week, I've been playing Olaf. It's a huge change in game but it's really fun. And I agree with DonRoyale. I hate spending IP cause I know I'm going to eventually need to buy runes, and I don't want to spend it on a champion I won't use.

I was just in the most epic match ever, let me try to recap it all.

So my four best friends all happened to be online at once. One of them decides "Hey, let's do an all-mid game." We asked him, "What's an all-mid game?"

    "We all go mid.
    Gank for First Blood.
    Never lane elsewhere."

I chose Urgot. My partners were Master Yi, Tristana, Miss Fortune and Maokai.

Miss Fortune ends up being the bait. As we go to take our places, Maokai, the person who thought of this idea, spills the beans, blowing our cover. We rage at him a little, but realize he's just trolling.

Vlad pokes his head out, but is hesitant to advance too far. Eventually, Maokai charges out, attacking him. We get him pretty low, but he immediately retreats to the tower, so we're unable to kill him.

Eventually, the rest of the team heads over. Poppy, however, gets overconfident, and a full-on fight at level 1 begins. Tristana nearly dies, but gets away. Sion pursues, and we're able to pounce on him for first blood (Ironically, Tristana tags him for the kill).

After a few more fights, we learn that only two of their team members are even half-decent, while we have fairly decent skill across the board. Seeing as our skills as team members don't compare, their reckless assaults lead to them feeding us, despite the 2-3 levels they have on us.

We get their outer mid tower in about 6 minutes, because the rest of the enemy team broke off to push the outer lanes. They regroup, but a few team fights later and we have their inner turret as well.

By this point, both of our outer lanes are destroyed. All that's left are the base defenses. The enemy team each have 2 levels on us, and the kills are 18-20 in their favor. Everyone gets a little nervous, but Maokai pulls us together and we soldier on.

Poppy steps out, again charging at us. However, Sion's stun and Vlad's harassment cause Poppy to get away and us to switch targets (I think Vlad Pooled like once that whole game...>.>) We chase into their territory, but Maokai notices Fid in the brush and preemptively attacks him to prevent a Crowstorm gank of epic proportions. Immediately, I follow suit as I notice Sion has joined Fid in the beatdown. We team up on Sion, but Fid gets a few feet away and begins channelling Crowstorm. I Reverse him to suppress the channel and put him right between Tristana and Maokai, and we eventually shred him as Master Yi joins. We're pounding on Sion, but he gets me extremely low, so I back off. Just as he's low enough and far away enough, I reengage, putting down Q to prevent Sion from killing Maokai, and getting me the kill.

I go to recall, but as I'm typing, I notice Poppy come out of nowhere to finish me off. I begin running for my life, and my teammates notice, preying on her ~40% health (She must've sustained the damage from the fight Maokai and I disengaged from). Once my team gets close enough, I reengage, but it's too late and her stun finishes me. However, Maokai and Yi easily tear her apart.

We push further, and get their entire middle lane defenses destroyed. Their nexus has no turrets, their inhibitor is destroyed, and while we're recovering from the last team fight, they're fighting off super minions for dear life. Once everyone's up, we group up for what is undoubtedly the fight that will decide the match. (For reference, our middle lane was destroyed in the team fights we lost, so we literally had no lanes. A lost team fight would've given them the push they needed to win.)

We advance on mid, and notice Poppy duck into the left brush. I ping her immediately and we jump on her. She escapes after taking minimal damage. Surprisingly, she then re-enters the brush, and we once again chase her down. This time, Maokai uses Twisted Advance to pin her, and while we're shredding her, the rest of the enemy team, one by one, engages, but their lack of formation and our knowledge of target priority means that we tear Fiddlesticks apart, and as Vladmir disengages, we pounce on Sion, who attempts to kill Maokai. The kill is swift and painful.

We then charge towards the defenseless enemy base, with a 40% Vladmir and a 60% Nocturne holding the fort. Vladmir gets harassed, and as Nocturne uses his ultimate, we engage and quickly destroy Vladmir. Nocturne takes the hint and runs, and, with nobody to defend the nexus, our team as well as two superminion waves win the day.

It was glorious, easily the most epic game I've ever been in, and it was with friends to boot. I hope you all enjoyed reading this :3

I think runes have such a minuscule effect that you'd be better off buying champions people aren't familiar against with IP. I was thinking about buying Gargas. He's the big alcoholic melee tank. No one ever uses him and he has such a funny design :).

I can see your point, but even a small effect helps in early game. Anyways, yeah. I will still buy champions, but I refuse to buy any that I haven't tried. I just don't want them to go to waste.

Nah, I think some runes and make or break. Of course it's possible to win without them, but if you were to go up against someone with a full rune page vs your own empty page, then they'd still have a slight, slight advantage, particularly early game.

I really hope I make summoner spotlight this week. n_n

Yeah, I received my free RP. Gonna keep it until Glacial Olaf goes on sale.
That's pretty much what I'm doing too. I'm waiting for Deadly or MD Kennen. I don't have any skins so I'm really hoping one of them goes on sale soon.
