Combined Pokemon Solo Challenge Thread

I already abandoned the solo run. I'm having a horrible time (and I may call it a waste since Flygon couldn't beat certain Pokèmon).

Ok. Huge update. Just gonna say that Houndoom ROCKS!

Anyways. Started emerald named myself Alyce, caught a level 5 Female Adamant Houndour, named her Tobiume. Strolled on through the prologue, wiped the floor with all the trainers between Petalburg and Rustboro, levelled up to 12. Felt confident going into the Rustboro Gym, then proceeded to get hammered by Roxanne. Crap. Levelled up to 15, rinse and repeat. I then rage, levelled to 25 and Evolved, then went back and demolished her with my shiny new Houndoom. Then did all the devon corp stuff, beat the Aqua grunt, talked to Mr Briney, went to dewford, got lost in the cave, caught a Sableye as my first HM Slave, with Cut and Rock Smash its Chosen moves. Found steven, beat Brawly with my now level 30 Tobiume. Went on to slateport, did all the crap around here, then wondered where the hell the contest Hall had gone. Then remembered I had picked Emerald, not Ruby. Ah well. On to Mauville city! Met and beat Brendan again, then faced Wattson with Tobiume at level 38. Annihilated him, then the Winstrates, then moved on to the fiewry path, through Fallarbor, leaving beaten and broken trainers in my wake. Went to Meteor Falls, on through to Verdanturf, gaining the mystery egg on the way, then went to Mount Chimney. Annihilated Whats-His-Name, the Magma leader, then moved on to Lavaridge town. Easily beat Flannery. In fact, it took longer to get to her then it did to beat her. Moved on, beat dad, got surf, taught it to Mudkip as my second HM slave, destined for Surf, Waterfall, Strength and Dive. Tobiume is about level 47. Went on past the weather institute, through Winona in Fortree, then on to Lilycove, through Mount Pyre, down to Magma's hideout, released Groudon, bulldozed through Aqua's hideout, thenon to Mossdeep to flog Tate and Liza. I figured out the gym in time to realise I couldn't face them with just Tobiume. (And why not, I should ask? I hate double battles. They steal valuable xp from Tobiume). So I went back, grabbed Sableye, who fainted, leaving me as I wished, with Just Tobiume to destroy those pesky twins. ON to the space center, and another annoying double battle. (No metang, don't raise our defence, finish them off.) Gah! then went underwater to flog Archie, unleash Kyogre. Went to Sootopolis, talked a lot, went and found Rayquaza, went back, watched the loooong cutscene, beat Juan, then moved on to Victory road with Tobiume at level 55. Steamrolled through victory road, grinding along the way, so that when I stood at the gates of the Elite 4, I had only a level 63 Tobiume by my side, having deposited my HM slaves already (I don't bring them into big battles, cause that's boring). I then proceeded to destroy Sidney with Faint Attack and Flamethrower (and the odd crunch), then I hammered Phoebe with Bite, then had a close shave against Glacia. Drake was a cinch with Crunch, and I then got utterly destroyed by Wallace's STABed Earthquake. He managed to Critical hit me 8 battles running. HOW IS THAT NOT CHEATING! Eventually, after wasting the Elite 4 more times than I can count, Tobiume emerged victorious on level 86.

So that's my Solo run finished! I'll post some screenshots after i've posted a little more. (why 15 posts? I signed up for the challenges, not to wait 15 posts for screenshots).

Anyways, Now i'd like to sign up for an Ultimate Solo run with Spheal/Sealeo/Walrein, starting on Leaf Green (Oh, god this will be hard). Good thing I can abuse the Speed up function! OH, and this solo run won't be so Chaotic, cause i'm going to keep track of everything as I go, instead of waiting till the end :P

-Started Leaf Green
-Called myself Rosa, and my rival Gene (Shut up. I wasn't in a creative mood at 3 in the morning)
-Picked Spheal as my starter :P Got a female, named her Tiburon. Of course, I got an Impish one, didn't I? This is going to be hard enough without handicaps. I also got Thick Fat as the ability, which'll make Lorelei and Blaine easier.
-Utterly destroyed Gene's Charmander (Whoops. Replaced the wrong pokemon).

Moves: Powder Snow, Growl, Defense Curl, Water Gun
-Leveled up twice! but only got 80p prize money. Tiburon didn't learn Encore.
-Realised I had forgotten to activate the National Dex, so I did that. Now Tiburon can evolve! And I think Tiburon may be part of the low experience group because she's levelling up really fast.
-Had to wait through that boring "how to catch a pokemon routine" that they made compulsory since Yellow. What are we, three? If you don't know how to catch a pokemon, the door's over there.
-They removed the rival encounter before the Pokemon League... Why? So I moved on to Viridian Forest. I'm wiping the floor with these trainers, and Tiburon is levelling up like there's no tomorrow. Passed old mate, Mr. Bug Catcher with the greatest line in Leaf Green: "Did you know that Pokemon evolve?" Tiburon learned Ice Ball here.
-Got to Pewter City and headed straight to the Gym to thoroughly destroy Brock and his follower with Water Gun, gaining the Boulder Badge and TM39 Rock Tomb.

Moves: Powder Snow, Ice Ball, Defense Curl, Water Gun
-Got the Running Shoes and left this Godawful city. Beating the trainers on the way to Mount Moon, levelling as I go. Tiburon learned Body Slam, then I healed at the Poke Center and finished for the day.

Lol, god luck 11wildy, smeargle's stats make it quite possbly the hardest to use. Be careful not to use sketch on growl or tail whip!

As for me, I will the doing he challenge on fire red to start with.

Super Solo Challenge

I want to do a challenge on fire red, either Mew only or Pichu only challenge, with hm slaves of course untill i reach the Elite Four
I am going to hack fire red for either mew or pichu for a starter

Arceus, im pretty sure the rules state that legendaries, such as mew, are not allowed. Go with Pichu

As for my challenge....
Got Ski the Surskit as my starter.
Lost to rivals Bulbasaur due to only move being bubble
Grinded to Lvl 8.
Lost to Rival again west of Viridian city.
Proceeded through Viridian Forest without trouble.
Challenged Brock with Ski, lvl 12, no trouble.
Got the Boulderbadge
Bought a Magikarp Slave for ($/£)500 (ripoff)
Proceeded Through Mt. Moon. Emerged Lvl. 20.
Ski tried to evolve into masquerain at lvl 22, but absence of national dex prevented it.
Saved game on route 4.

Chimchar Solo Run #1+ Spade Update

I basically want an excuse to play my Diamond, so I'm doing a Chimchar/Monferno/Infernape solo run, just so I can start chaining. I am still doing the Charizard Ultimate, so I guess I'll switch off while on here. I am in Saffron City and forgot how to make Sabrina appear, that's why it's taking a while. I'm not dead.

Anyways, I'll start Updating.
Chimchar Solo Run Chapters 1-2

__Chapter 1__
First thing I did was Up+Select+B. Yup, I deleted my current file. I don't know what was on there, and I don't care. So I finally get to start again. My name is Zeko, a thirteen year old boy. My rival's name is Joker. Yeah, his mom is weird xD.
[fast forward here]
We were being attacked by some Starly. We didn't know what to do. I just grabbed one of Professor Rowan's Pokemon.

"Chimchaaaar!" It screeched. "Chimchar-Chimp!" Then out of nowhere it started scratching one of the Starly to death.
Eventually I was in a situation where Professor Rowan was giving me a Pokedex and Pokeballs. "Would you like to give a name to your Chimchar?"
I looked at Chimchar. I saw his eyes ready to protect me at any cost. I knew it. His name I mean. "Yes I would."
"Well....?"
"Blazin'."

Chapter 2.
Okay, In the last chapter, I wrote in a first person story, this won't be that way, okay? Okay. Let's continue.
So after the boring tutorial is FINALLY over, I buy 3 potions and a Paralyz Heal. I know there are Shinx in the next couple routes. I make it onto the next route with our first trainer battle. Youngster Tristan with a Level 5 Starly. Ember, ember, scratch. Done. And so on...
I made it out of the route having grown FOUR levels (level 10) and one move (taunt). Now I'm in Jubilife City! I pick up the hidden Paralyz Heal and move into the Trainer's School to deliver Joker's Parcel. I see two nerds who think they can beat me. Yeah, the Abra kids. I battle the girl first. The only move her abra knows is Hidden Power. So the first turn I heal (because I forgot to do it before) and it has a x1 HP. Ember + Scratch = Dead Abra.
Then I repeat the above for the other dude. He gave me TM10, Hidden Power (who would guess?)
So I found the 3 clowns and got the Poketch. On the next route, VS. Joker, I embered his Starly, got it to like 3 HP, healed for the turn after next (it growled :]), and scratched. On his Piplup, the only thing I could do was Scratch, even though my Attack was lowered, because Ember isn't very effective. When it's HP bar got to red, I embered it and it fainted.
I returned to Jubilife, healed, and made it on to the next Route!

For FireRed and Emerald I'll use A-Starter--I'll think of something for Soul Silver and Platinum (probably Modifier code)

-Fought some "fishy" characters.
-Replaced Kiwi's Uproar with Return, which is quite possibly it's strongest move now.
-Reached Level 50. I always get excited about milestone levels.
-Got blocked by Snorlax.
-Went back to Lavender Town and headed Left.
-Bought 99 Super Potions.
-Defeated everyone on route 8.
-And then I walked through the Lincoln tunnel.
-Oh, hey Rocket Hideout. I think I'll try the gym first.
-DRILL PECK DRILL PECK DRILL PECK
-I can now say that the gym trainers (all together) own exactly 18 pokemon. Because that's how many drill pecks it took me to mow through them all.

Ooooh! memememememeeeeeeee please! i'm gonna do an ULTIMATE solo challenege with snorlax through Vba emulator and a fire-red rom. i have hacked snorlax in so i caught him at level 3. thenk turned off the "only snorlax appear" code. my snorlax is called NOMNOM! will just post a full runthrough when done with kanto.

p.s. i just have to beat the champion on fire red yeah?

Start challenge, beat rival, caught magikarp (lvl 2) (solo pokemon.)
(hacked so that magikarp appears in poute 101 so I can catch and use it for the challenge, then hacked it so that all pokemon on route 101 are lvl 10 magikarp.)
Sped trained magikarp using mudkip, currently magikarp is lvl 11, been to routes 101, 102, and 103. Caught 2 zigzagoons (pickup ability – rare candies. Fingers crossed.)
Magikarp ended day at lvl 11.
4/23/11
Caught another zigzagoon.
Magikarp lvl 15, learned tackle.
Magikarp evolved using 2 rare candies.
Gotten 10+ nuggets from pickup, and other misc items from the pickup ability.
Got hm 01.
Beat Roxanne, got 1st badge.
Beat brawly, got knuckle badge.
Beat may, got itemfinder.
Beat Watson, got 3rd badge.
Gave exp share to zigzagoon 1 to get it to evo and to get it to be able to use strength.
Taught linoone strength, rock break, and cut.
Beat team magma at the mountain.
Beat flannery and got 4th badge.
Beat norman, got 5th badge.
Taught gyarados surf.
Turned off generator.
Beat team magma at the weather research center.
Beat rival with lvl 54 gyarados.
Beat winona, got 6th badge.
Chased the blue and red orbs.
Had the sub stolen then got the masterball while beating the magma base.
Beat the twins, got 7th gym.
Gyarados ended day at lvl 63.

Caught a tentacool, taught it dive.
Currently 6 pokemon on team, will retire one zigzagoon when at next pokemon center.
Found team magma at the caves, wingul evolved.
Fought maxie, won.
Caught groudon with a pokeball. (yes, a pokeball, not a great, ultra or masterball, but a pokeball.)
Beat wallance, got 8th badge.
Beat wallance before exiting the victory road cave.
Gyarados ended day at level 74.

Beat elite four, used 2 ethers, 20 full restores, 1 hyper potion.
Gyarados is level 77.
Only gyarados was used to beat elite four, full team was gyarados, linoone, pelipper and tentacool.

Hate to break it to you, but in white version you cant trade untill you beat the 1st gym, and you cant send pokemon from D/P/Pt/HG/SS untill you beat N in his castle

Hey thats what i did with every legendary pokemon on white version and on latios on emerald and on regice, regirock, and registeel on sapphire, and on lugia and ho-oh on Soul Silver (lol too much for me when it comes to typing)

I decided to also attempt a Pikachu only challenge on my Pokemon Yellow version that i own in real life
Status on Yellow version's challenge:
Got Pikachu
Lost to Blue
Went on a training spree and got pikachu to lv 9
Beat Blue on the route to the Pokemon League
Went to professer Oak and got the pokedex and 5 pokeballs
Went on another training spree
Got Pidgy (why? well its purpose come up soon)
Did Mew glitch and got a Lv 1 Lickatung
Couldnt lv lickatung to lv 100
Battled Brock many time
Finally beat Brock using Pidgey's sand attack on Onix so it would keep missing (when i had pikachu out and onix used bide, i would use growl so the attack didnt do anything
Got through Mt Moon after having the game freeze Many times
Beat Blue with Pikachu 1st try
Killed all the trainers on Nugget Bridge (Electricuited all their pokemon with Thundershock XD)
Searched for Abra(Status: FAILED)
Beat Misty
Noticed that Misty's sprite had looked f***ed up (looked like a missingno almost)
Saved game even though it warned me that save game would be overwritten (Thats not supposed to happen in R/B/Y versions)
Turned the game off and back on
Found the saved file was deleted GOD DANG IT!!!!!
Well so far the yellow version challenge was a failure
