    I hope that if they translate the opening song ("My soul, Your Beats") that they do it right and don't butcher it. They had better include this song at least, because that's the HEART AND SOUL of this series in my opinion. XD

    Can't they just leave the opening as it is?
    Yeah, the opening song My Soul, Your Beats is definitely love. <3; It's sung beautifully by Lia, and GirlDeMo have done an awesome job with it too.

    And so, to keep this thread alive I felt like asking:

    Which version of the Opening Song My Soul, Your Beats do you like better? The original by Lia, or the more Rockier version by GirlDeMo/Yui?
    Just a random topic/poll. Shoot me if I need approval.

    Hard to choose. They're both so awesome. However, I somehow prefer The Original version by Lia.

    Can the combined version be an option too?

    Heh...I have to say I love the original version by Lia. Mostly because I feel like it suits the mood of the song much, much more.

    However the GirlDeMo version is awesome in it's own right too, and the combined version is too. I just think the original hit it out of the park, and it's remixes while epic, can't quite touch it.

    I like the original better, I still like the GirlDeMo version, but originality wins.


    I enjoy listening to all the songs that were in AB! I prefer all the originals tho :x

    The original version that Lia sang fit the mood for the opening really well, but honestly the GiDeMo version of the song is what got me into the series in the first place. So I'm a bit biased when I say that it's the one I prefer. Oddly enough, now days I like Lia's version better, but oh well.

    Is it okay for me to join this club? I've been watching it and nearly finished it, so I've only got two episodes to go. :)
    But one thing that baffles me of the concept of the anime. I don't quite understand what the whole going to the world, resurrecting as a snowpea or something. From what I understand, it's that these people must fulfill their wishes/clear their regrets and they "ascend"?

    Basically, all the people in the place/school they're in that aren't just NPCs, are teenagers that died with regrets. When they clear all their regrets by enjoying their time and understanding themselves in the school, they get another chance at life. Something like that. xD;

    I sort of understand the plot of the show, but what really baffles me is this whole situation with Kanade or something. Is she meant to be a bad guy or something, or is she helping Otonashi with helping these people with regrets or something?

    Kanade's not a baddie. :(
    She's just perceived as a bad guy by everyone because of her introverted and shy character. Yuri believes that anyone who follows Angel's orders and behaves like a normal student at the school will eventually disappear and pass on. However, those who fulfill their dreams in the afterlife will pass on as well.
    Otonashi acknowledges her to be the same as everyone else. And later she helps Otonashi fulfill the dreams of everyone in the afterlife because they share the same view.

    I know Otonashi's main regret or something, was not being able to help everyone in the alive world, so he's going to help everyone else "ascend" so he can do the same thing with Kanade or something, right?

    That's what I've grasped of the anime so far. :)

    What's your favorite GirlDeMo song?

    I'm pretty sure all of you have heard of most of them, if not all. As for me, it's probably a tie between Shine Days, Thousand Enemies, Alchemy and Highest Life. Heck, I love them all. <3

    Yeah, I think 'My Song' counts. :D; I know since I have quite a few plays on last.fm under Girls Dead Monster.
    Very emotional song, plus Iwasawa is just awesome. <3

    We needs to keep this thread alive! :D
    Anyway, I just watched episode 12, and I don't know why it took me this long to watch it, but that doesn't matter. The point is, the ending of the episode baffled me so much. I didn't understand a thing about these monsters, or the reset or anything. Does anyone else understand that at all?

    anyway.

    I haven't watched the ending in a while, but the world was basically controlled by all those computers if memory serves. The monsters were caused by human emotions, or negativity, or something like that.. I barely remember. =u= After those two issues were out of the way, Otonashi and the rest of the group were able to move on away from that world, and may or may not have met up in their new lives.


    idek. I'd have to watch it again to be able to give a decent answer.


    & My favorite GiDeMo song is tied between Alchemy, and Shine Days.
