5th Gen Third Game Speculation

No one knows. Been a big debate since before Black and White was even released. Colbion has a better possible story. No proof that there will be a "grey".

Just wondering what will the main legendary pokemon for the third Unova game be . I have a strong feeling that it is going to be Kyurem ..........

Yeah nobody knows, but merging this into third game speculation to continue discussion if anyone wants, since this belongs in third game speculation.

Going away from the mascot discussion... but do any of you guys think this game will be released for the DS? or 3DS? Or perhaps both?

There are no more big name DS games being released by Nintendo - the closest thing left is a new Kirby game. It's a platform that's at the end of life stage. People who think not by now are pretty much afraid to admit they're going to have to drop money on a 3DS in a couple of years' time to play more Pokémon.

hay guys I was going to post this in the Volcarona thread but it fit here best. Volcarona for third game cover Pokemon y/n? You could totally go into something with its location and then create a storyline from there. idk it just came to mind and it'd be sort of interesting if you cut off where N normally is underground with Ghetsis (or just Ghetsis? Plasma at least :x) and just skipped to a Volcarona sub-story. Totally would make that thread make more sense in terms of why it's different.

I'm trying to think of what you would call this, the best way I can think of is "zebra stripes" but thats not exactly the best name.

Of course it could be Pokemon Zebra

and have Zebstrika or a new evolution of him...

I think that in the 3rd game, there may finally become a way to evolve Pachirisu into Emolga, and Luvdisc into Alomomola.

I know, its kind of a longshot, but they're just way too similar NOT to be evo pairs. I believe Pachirisu and Emolga even have the same hidden ability...

Forme changes are gettin kind of old, so I think they just might forge new evolutionary links between these old pokes and Unova pokes.

Also, Unown ---> Sigilyph ?? Eh? Ehh? Possible, I think.

If they did that it would definitely make it interesting. I could see it being like you choose one of the legendaries in the final battle, and instead of saying N went off somewhere, it would make some kind of vague reference to him going to Relic Castle and releasing the other legendary. Then once you get there he could learn something about Pokemon from Volcarona becoming the sun for humans when they had no other way, and the people worshipping it, and the symbiotic relationship that Volcarona had with people, etc. Volcarona could be the example of harmony between people and Pokemon since it managed to do so much for people and people did so much for it in return, and then he can say that he's going to whatever place he went to in B/W and leave you alone to capture Volcarona, since you're the one that taught him the relationship that people and Pokemon could have and he believes that you're worthy to own such a Pokemon.

Of course this would be much more likely if Volcarona was an actual legendary, but who knows maybe they'll make it a legendary for the third game I wish :3 I think Volcarona would make a great cover Pokemon tbh, with its design omg so great and backstory already partially in place. Kyurem just seems kinda boring to me, tbh. Not sure why...maybe it's because everyone is so convinced it'll be him.

Urm... I definitely think Grey will be on the 3DS but I think the graphics will be awkward. 3D Dex points to this for me.

Sorry. But they said there were absolutely no tie ins to the older generations. So this will not be happening. The whole point of Unova was to get rid of the linking to the old games and start over.

Volcarona...I can and I can't. I feel that if it were Volcarona there would be a different back story to the region and the updated version never completely changes the back story only slightly edits it.

I still think Cobalion or on of the Kami (Prefably Landorus) has the better chance. Odds are knowing Nintendo (and much to my great disliking) they'll do Kyurem even though you cannot access his place and he'd have no reason being outside of the Great Chasm.

From what I understood, BLACK and WHITE were meant to be like a new beginning, not the Unova region itself. And they were, in many ways. Until of course post-Elite Four, when you encounter routes and trainers with nothing but old pokes. So not exactly free of tie-ins to older generations...

But I dunno, I've been wrong before. I almost didn't expect there to be a fifth gen at all, since they took forever to promote it in the anime.

If not in the 3rd game of this gen, then maybe in gen 6 it will happen, but I believe it HAS to happen eventually.

I'm not seeing the Pachirisu and Emolga thing happening. The reason they are similar like Plusle and Minun is cause they are all Pikachu clones.

I could see them maybe adding some previous generation pokemon pre-Elite 4, but I don't really see the need for it it though, not say I would rule the possibility out. They did make additions to Sinnoh Dex from DP to Plat.

As for Volcarona being the mascot I think it would be awesome seeing as it is the only stationary pokemon at level 70 like a Legendary and it is quite rare. But I think they want to go with Grey/Gray instead and add Kyurem(and have a different form to it like they did with Girantina in Plat.

i think i remember that one of the head dudes at gamefreak said that they are not making one but i doubt it.

and i would love for Victini to be the mascot.

I stopped one day, and I imagined Satoshi Tajiri himself swimming in a grand pile of money made off a game that doesn't cost nearly as much to make as new Pokémon games.

No because like any other corporation they won't say no to guaranteed money. I don't see why they wouldn't think of a 3rd game unless they felt like doing away with the series as a whole.

Guys, FOR GOD'S SAKE!!!, stop saying that the mascot is a Pokemon other than Kyurem, It's obvious that it's Kyurem, the battle theme of it is the same as Reshiram and Zekrom, also the god stone has to do something with kyurem, and there's other hints.

People are still free to speculate however they wish, though. For example, think back to generation 2, it wasn't really expected that the mascot would be Suicune, was it? Sure there was no other "main" legendary, but still, the same thing can apply to now. Anything can happen for the third game including a legendary that isn't Kyurem.

It's already been confirmed. An interview with one of the creators, designers or whatever confirmed that N's name would be revealed in the third game, and more. So it's definately coming.
