Alright, just a copy-and-paste away from the update! Lewie, since that topic is not specific to generation I, and it could lead to going off-topic, let's not have that topic. Sorry. But, I'll start another topic myself: When FireRed and LeafGreen were made, would you have liked your starter to be Pikachu, as it was in Yellow? Or do you prefer the starters from Red and Blue?

For me, having Pikachu as a starter would definitely have been interesting. But, only if they did something to give Pikachu a bit of an advantage against Brock, like they did with Charmander being able to learn Metal Claw. Perhaps they would have made the TM for Dig or Iron Tail accessible.

I would have loved my starter to be Pikachu. I dunno, having it follow me around and not being the same as the usual grass/water/fire starter would have been so fun.

What NightOfRemorse said. Also the HeartGold/SoulSilver having any follow you would be much better than without. But not going off topic. Pikachu brings a unique storyline in Yellow, as did Team Rocket. It was nice that Pikachu couldn't be evolved into Raichu also. Made it exactly like Ash's Pikachu. (Makes me wonder why Pikachu liked being...well Pikachu?)

But Yellow is trying to be based off Ash while Red/Blue/Green FR/LG were more based on Red's story. That's why it was the usual Bulbasaur Charmander Squirtle choice.

It would have been interesting but nah, i prefer the Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle choice. It was a remake of Red/Blue not Yellow.

Seriously, yellow is one of my least favorite game. Pikachu is no better off than the three starters. And that is even an understatement. I prefer having the type triangle as my starters.

It is not even possible to turn the sprinkles on. :(

I have an idea. Why not dive in the water and catch a fish Pokemon. Magikarp, being all wet, can flail it's water on Onix with no problem. Do it before he's dry.

Sorry about my last post guys, I went off topic.
In my opinion, the starters in Pokemon Leaf-Green and Fire-Red are fine as they are.
If Nintendo wanted Pikachu as a starter in one of the GBA games then they should have made a remake of Pokemon Yellow.

I agree with the above. The original starters had to be there. FR were remakes of Red and Green, not Yellow. That and I always prefered using Charmander or Squirtle over Pikachu.

Unfortunately, the current event of the egg exchange will be scrapped. It will be removed tomorrow when I update. But, I will have another event for us to try out, which I hope to gain more popularity. I think it will, since this one will only require a computer, internet access, and one certain Pokemon-related program. ;)

Now that our Egg Exchange has been scrapped, I have removed it from the OP, and put in its place "No event currently, but expect a new one in the next few days." Yes, there will be a new event posted in the next few days, so keep checking back. ;) Remember, all this one will need is a computer, internet access, and one certain Pokemon related program that can be downloaded for free.

You could use a Butterfree with Confusion and a powder attack.

I know this might be a little late but I would've prefered the original trio of starters in FR/Lg because it would make more sense as they were remaking Red & Blue/Red & Green. It would have just made things harder if you had just Pikachu at Brock because not everyone is going to use the pokemon from the accessible areas before Pewter.
