  • My name is Alec. I like it cuz its pretty unique (I've met only one other Alec) and it means high-minded (Not to brag :)) Only problem is people call me Alex and in some cases (teachers) I feel rude to correct them and in others (friends ive known for seven years...) I correct them but they don't remember. I probably wouldnt change my name but if I had to, I would probably change it to something like Seamus or a scottish-like name.

  • Name's Samantha. Not shy about it; my username is a nickname for it. ;) I don't really mind sharing because it's really common. Last name, not so much (even though that's common too).

I like my name. Only thing I don't like is that it's so common. Someone says Samantha or Sam, I'll turn. And then it'll be for someone else. </3

  • My name is Ryan, which I'm fine sharing online, even though it confuses people when I say I'm a girl. I've never had a problem with it to be honest, never had that desire to change it really. People do ask me that a lot, if I want to change my name. The answer is no, I like my name how it is. It can be an interesting conversation starter to say the least. :)

  • My name is Shane, and my ~official~ name is Xinyu. How do you pronounce that? That's why it's so annoying.

I don't mind sharing, because it's my name. Who's gonna get my name and steal my credit card info lol

And if I wanted to change it, YES I WOULD BECAUSE ARRRGGHHHH I can't explain it, but a socially awkward asian is the farthest you can probably get from a raeging Irish dude :P

I think I'll just post here now. My username might be a dead giveaway... So yes I feel comfortable sharing it online, it's just a first name. :)

I really like my name, it's short and easily understood. It has a nice meaning and it also reminds me of a certain Gym Leader. I had it first! >_>

    Nope, wouldn't change it. :)

  • What is your real name?
    My real name is Nichole.

Do you feel comfortable sharing it online?
When I was still new I wouldn't share my name but now I'm comfortable with it.

Do you like it? Why/Why not?
I like it cos it's a unique spelling of a common name, such a shame so many people misspell it as "Nicole". I hate it when that happens to me.

Would you change it? (If yes, to what?)
I wouldn't change it cos of its uniqueness. If I did have to change it I would have been Chloe (the name I was originally going to be called).

  • Hmm I usually prefer not to share my real name online but it's just a personal preference and not a particularly strong one either. My name is alright though I have this temptation to change it to my online username at times as it would make me 50% more evil.

  • My real name is: Angeline( Angel for shirt) I'm okay about sharing it on Forums, but not on social sites like Facebook.

I'm okay with my name because I think I am the only one with it.

    I would not change it.

  • My real name is -- what many already know -- Nathan. I don't have a problem with sharing it online to be honest. I'm also really happy with my name and I honestly wouldn't change it. That's who I am. I will always be a Nathan.

Hannah Marie Gultia Miralles. I feel proud of my name, and I'm comfortable with sharing it online, unless someone's out there to kill me. Yeah.

  • As I have said multiple times, I'm Andy. Not Shining Raichu Andy xD

I NEVER give my last name out online, yet three stalkers have found it out and tried to ruin me. I really can't stand those kinds of people. I am VERY uncomfortable giving out more than my first name. Andrew is a common name, after all. I see no reason to be private about that much.

If I wanted to change it, what would I change it to? Really, I'm fine with my name, common as it is, and I've given myself my own label as... myself. A leopard can't change its spots.

    It's Sebastian.

I don't really have a problem sharing my first name online. I don't particularly hate my name, but sometimes I feel it's a tad long to say, lol.

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

No-ho-ho! No, no, no, no, nope, nerp, nada!

I have NEVER used my real name on the Internet. Nobody knows what it is, I've never even given anyone a hint to what it is. And I never will :3

Even though the odds are overwhelmingly stacked against me, if someone I knew in real life (I try not to let people know I like Pokemon or anything I else I actually like for that matter. Which is kind of odd considering I'm not into anything sick or dirty and even stay away from fandoms most of the time :P) I would be completely terrified. I have a rather definitive name and if by chance I was somehow found I would probably have to delete whatever account of mine they found. Also, I was told from a very early age never to say my name on the Internet so that habit kind of formed when I was young. I used to not like giving out even my country, so I used to go around saying (jokingly) that I was from Antarctica.

  • My name is Haroun, I dont really care having my name online but I do kind of know in the back of my mind that everyone reading it is pronouncing it wrong...or at least not how my family and I pronounce it. So yeah if I could change my name I'd make it more obvious its pronounced Hah-Run rather than Hah-Roon. But yeah :D

  • What is your real name?
    Brendan

Do you feel comfortable sharing it online?
*looks up* Yeah, it's no big deal to me, since my username and real name are very similar.

Do you like it? Why/Why not?
There's nothing wrong with it and it isn't all that common, so I'm happy with it. The only thing I don't much care for is when people call me Brandon, which has been happening to me since the beginning of kindergarten up to today.

Would you change it? (If yes, to what?)
I've got no reason to change it, since I'm happy the way it is. If there was some sort of law that mandated I change my first name, I might just change it to Brandon, or maybe swap it with my middle name.

  • My name's Brandon-Lee, I was named after Bruce Lee's son.
I feel comfortable sharing my name online because for every first name there are thousands of people with that name, so it makes no difference to me.
I sort of like it, cause the guy I'm named after was pretty cool, but I'd still change it to either Asher, Austin or Blaine because those names are pretty sexy. Or maybe Amelia depending on my life choices.

  • I don't usually share my real name on these forums. Not really sure why tbh... I just don't. I guess it's probably just because I'm a private person or something? Either way, I quite like it... when people can actually pronounce it lol. Usually I just use a more simple version of it which is way easier to say but it's quite boring. If I could change it I definitely would - to something a bit easier for most people to deal with.

  • What is your real name?
    Karin.

Do you feel comfortable sharing it online?
No problems, really. It's becoming my online alias since the first time I joined forums, blogging site, social network, and role-play forums... People even thought it's not even my real name, they thought it was really my alias.

Do you like it? Why/Why not?
Of course! My name is somewhat uncommon in my country, so, I consider it as unique.

Would you change it? (If yes, to what?)
I used to want to change my name to "Karen", but, nah.

  • My real name is Zachary, but I go by the colloquial form Zach, and have done so since my late elementary school years, though my family will still often call me by my full first name. I used to not feel comfortable when I began going online but after a while I shared my real name online (Zach) and have been doing so since (hence my PC username, for example). I like my name! Not the full name, but definitely the shortened version of it. I feel rather unique having a first name starting with the last letter of the alphabet for some odd reason.. Since I don't mind my name, I don't see a reason to change it.
