    I got my 3DS for $150, they were having a special at Target that day so I just bought one, this was last summer well before X and Y were announced, but I figured it would happen eventually. I dont play many games on it though.

  • I had totally forgotten about the 3DSXL when I got mine. But really I am perfectly content with mine. :D And when XY were announced I totally thought "Perfect timing!" as well haha.

  • Only $50 more? You make that sound like a little. :c

    Then again, that's coming from a 17 year old who's broke and had no job. (y) I'm just gonna get a regular 3DS

    The regular 3DS is cheaper and I think it's available in more colors, I was really excited when the purple one got sold and that's what I have, besides I have small hands so the smaller system is perfectly fine for me.

  • Actually, a 3DSXL is cheaper than a 3DS in some stores in Canada. Jordan can tell you. If and when he gets back from work on a Sunday ;;

    It's a cool system nonetheless and from what has been shown of the Pokemon game graphics for X and Y it should be pretty nice.

  • I just much prefer how the XL looks compared to the 3DS and size don't matter to me. I'm so used to using my big DS Phat , which isn't much smaller than the XL (from the looks of it.) so I'm comfortable with how big the XL is.
    It's $199 on Nintendo website so about 40-50 dollars more which is probably a bit too expensive for someone who also has no job. :( So I'd be fine with just a 3DS if it's cheaper in the long run, but I prefer to have an XL.

    The battery life is pretty bad :/ I just deal with it though, I can't handle much more than an hour of game playing on the 3DS anyway.

  • That is what I want so much...better battery. :\ So often have I come home to find my 3DS flashing red when I swear I just finished charging it haha.

  • I get quite a bit on my 3DS (6 hours) but an option if you have an older 3DS could be to just buy another battery, charge both, and bring both with you on trips so you can just swap it out?

  • If a 3DS battery is not over 50$, spend this on buying a new battery instead than 3DS XL ;)

    i don't buy the games i just emulate everything HOLLAAAAAAAAAA

    Having an ipad or something so you can use the touchscreen technology would be amazing. I've emulated professor layton and then they make you write out letters and I can't write a T because it takes two strokes and I can't do it fast enough on a computer @-@
