6th Gen Evolution/Pre-evolution Speculation

Who's to say that GF are even planning on giving some of the older Gen pokemon Evolutions? The only reason we got them in Gen 4 was because they were beginning to introduce new methods of evolution.. I think GF will be more busy focusing on newer Pokemon rather than older ones. Maybe I'm wrong though..

Well for one thing, we have a new eeveelution AND we have a new Mewtwo form. So already we have two examples of them meddling with old pokemon.

Considering the 5th gen didn't introduce any relations to old pokemon I can't see them missing the chance to reevaluate some of the older pokemon. Especially Hoenn and Sinnoh pokemon.

Also who's to say we got evolutions for old pokemon in order to introduce new methods of evolution? We could just as easily have gotten new methods of evolution to justify evolutions for old pokemon. Or it could have been a 2 birds, 1 stone situation.

Hmmm... don't you think you're taking the concept of needing too strictly?
Nobody said that we can't live without (for example) a Sableye evolution. When we say that we need a Sableye evolution, we mean that the game needs a Sableye evolution, not because GF will go bankrupt if they don't add it, but simply because it will somehow improve the game.
Anyway, you obviously knew this already, so it's incomprehensible why you're try to fight over it.

The definition of need means it is something that cannot go without. I am not the one misinterpreting the concept. A need is a have to have no questions asked. There is nothing in the Pokemon games that are absolutely needed. If we don't get them, we didn't need them.

I just wanted to say this:
Don't you think that if they will give us what we want there will be no more room for new Pokemon to see? They already said the creator of pokemon (sorry i cant remember his name) had made sprites for at least 10 installments.....so i figured out that if they will give us what we ask for, they will have to postpone the new pokemon's releases.
My point is that personally i think we just need to wait and see what will turn out! you've got to remember that if sylveon was released eevee Will be in the game plus some genV pokemons i guess. The only thing i do want is pre-khangaskan....because a grown pokemon with a baby in his pocket coming out of an egg is creepy.

Just because we have Sylveon actually does not mean Eevee is in the game. Gen 4 had a lot of Pokemon get new Evolutions and a lot of them that did were not in the game. You had to port, use a special method to unlock or trade them into the game to receive them or wait until you had beaten the game for them to become available.

Its rumored that Dunsparce, Stantler, Mawile and Sableye will get evolutions and there is a high chance that its true. Its also a high chance of Eevee getting a Dragon type evolution. There's also rumors about a new pokemon named Elvany which will be a Normal/Fairy type pokemon.

Some more rumors: Skrelp evolves into Weedra which is a Water/Poison type Pokemon. Its also rumored that Clauncher has two evolution stages and its final forms name is Slingray which is a Water/Electric type. It learns a move named ?Blister Blast? which is a Water type move but which is also super effective against flying types?

This is only rumors and nothing is confirmed yet.

Oh really? If you're actually trying to fight over the definition of need, why don't you just quote from a dictionary?

1. A condition or situation in which something is required or wanted: crops in need of water; a need for affection.
2. Something required or wanted; a requisite: "Those of us who led the charge for these women's issues ... shared a common vision in the needs of women" (Olympia Snowe).
3. Necessity; obligation: There is no need for you to go.
4. A condition of poverty or misfortune: The family is in dire need.

About the evolutions, I really think that Pokémon like Tropius, Kangaskhan, Lapras and Tauros/Miltank should get pre-evos. It's not that I find them particularly useful, it's just that I think the game would make a bit more sense this way. It would be cool if the Kangaskhan pre-evo was somehow related to Cubone.
I would also like to see:
- A Fairy/Dragon evolution for Dunsparce, in case it becomes a Fairy type, since I don't recall any Pokémon gaining two new types in only one stage. If it keeps it's Normal type, maybe a split Normal/Fairy & Normal/Dragon evolution would be cool as well.
- A Cerberus Pokémon, like Cerberumon, maybe a Houndoom evolution, even though it's already strong. Whatever, it would be one hell of a pseudo-legendary.

I also like the idea that Mawile and Sableye will get new evos, but, for example, I wouldn't like to see Skarmory getting an evolution (as many people have been suggesting), because Skarmory has a decent BST already, so, with its typing, an evolution would probably become too overpowered.

these are old rumours, and it sounds fake especially that blister blast which is sounding like a dual type move. I am always against dual type. It would be a complicated mechanics if it would become real.

They've only been out for 8 days, they're not old. Sure gamefreak has discontinued some of the rumors, I'm not sure which ones but there is a chance that 55% of these rumors are true and just because you're against dual types doesn't mean that its fake. I think its interesting with a dual type move tho.

I assume you mean shared Pre-Evo. I dunno, Gamefreak has been doing everything in their power to keep the two from being linked what with them not being able to breed the other species like the other two gender paired Pokemon (Nidoran and Volbeat/Illumise). At this point I'm starting to doubt they'll be related.

I'd love for some new baby versions of both of them if not a shared baby though...Gamefreak just seems to be trying very hard to keep them apart for no apparent reason =C

I wanna ask if it is 100% sure we will be getting evos and pre-evos for other Pokemon beside Eevee.
In gen 3 we only had 2 pre-evos for example.We could easily have only Sylveon since we have yet to see an evolution or pre evolution for an older Pokemon being revealed.

No. We're not 100% sure about anything. Until Gamefreak tells us anything, we're not sure about anything. There is no 100% until they tell us.

I looked up when were the Evolutions for roselia and sneasel revealed and they were 3 months before release.
Maybe this or the next month we might know something.

Personally, I think there's a high chance on getting new evolutions. As well as getting some pre-evolutions too.

If you remember, the whole fifth generation was about restarting the whole franchise. Mainly so that new players would have a chance on getting the hang of it without the need to play through Red/Blue/Yellow all the way to Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. So, as the fifth generation was like the first one so to speak, what if sixth will follow the steps of the second?

I know it may sound weird but what I'm saying is that there might not be that much of new pre-evolutions or evolutions to older pokémon. And the ones that there might be could be just for fifth generation's pokémon.

Has anyone even considered that possibility?

Anyhow, I don't really "need" new pre-evolutions or evolutions for something like Luvdisc or Kangaskhan but storywise it would give some sense of logic for these creatures. For example, is Alomomola somehow related to Luvdisc (after all, they look like Alomomola would be Luvdisc's evolution) and what about Kangaskhan hatching from an egg and having a baby in it's pouch. And so on. :P

It says all eevee evolutions are in the movie. And sylveon is marketed as the only new evolution. The chances there is another is pretty much 0. Also "eevee evolutions being all special typed types" has officially been broken so its no longer a pattern. A new eevee after sylveon is very low.
