Misty, she is the Water-type queen, and ironically the only female Water-type trainer/Gym Leader.

Oh, and for laughs, this is why you do not send a Rock or Ground-type into battle with a Water type:

Why don't we all share our Water-team?
Tell us why they were chosen!

Psst! I have no intention to hijack this thread, Water Gym Leader!
Just wanna keep it alive! ;)

Hey I just own the thread. Feel free to ask questions, and start topics. It saves me the hassle of making them.

I have different team for different battles but my 1 v 1 team right now is as follows:

So you guys just jumped ship. Might I ask why all my members aren't talking? Come on, all these Water Types and no ones talking about them. Come on guys. Share your teams. Share water based strategies, talk manga, anime, games, fanfic, something. we could be shut down for inactivity.

I'm so sorry, totally forgot about the thread! Because I was busy with my fiction works lately!

Here's my team as a Gym Leader in Sinnoh region,
My Pre-National Dex team: Empoleon(Signature Pokemon), Floatzel, Gastrodon, Vaporeon.
Post-National Dex: Empoleon, Swampert, Milotic, Gyarados, Vaporeon, Starmie

Empoleon and Gastrodon can take several hits, especially Special moves and it's a decent special attacker as well.
Floatzel has a great Speed and Attack stat, he needs to be part of the team. Vaporeon is a great supporter as well as a wall.

It is October 1st, only 10 more days till X and Y (I don't count today and I don't count the release date). You guys ready for the new Water Types? I know I am. First thing I'm gong to try to do is try to get the final evolution of Froakie. What about you guys? What are your water related plans?

I might have a all Water-Pokémon party.
Let's see what's in stores after 9 days.

I feel really conflicted now because I want Mega Charizard X over my Mega Blastoise...I might do some trading just to get the Charizard X MegaStone and play on with my all water party.

I am welcoming Golden_spider to Diving Deep. He PM'ed his registration to me.

I also believe it is time for a new topic.

Out of every Water Type combo (ie. Water/Grass or Water/Rock) which is most useful and which is least useful.this is a typing based question.

Hello everyone! also Water/Ground for the only 1 weakness and Water/Steel for Alot of resists. Least useful would Water/Poison because they can be weak to GROUND.

But the move Earthquake is quite common out there so, it is not entirely useless. ;)

There are so many good combinations to be honest.
I have to agree with you Golden Spider, Swampert's typing makes him as one of the best in AG and Gen IV.

For least better combiantions, I think that honor belongs to Water/Rock like Barbaracle,
weak to Grass, Fighting, Ground, Electric moves. Most of those types are common move types in competitive, so Water/Rock couldn't last long in battles.

I see Water/Dragon as the best Water combo. It takes quarter damage from Fire and Water, half damage from Steel, double damage from Dragon and normal from everything else. Though this is a rare typing, Kingdra and Palkia, it is worth it with the right move pool and ability. A Kingdra with ability Sniper, holding a Scope Lens, and moves Dragon Pulse, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, and Dragon Dance. That Kingdra would prove to be a formidable opponent.

Gah forgot Water/Dragon... plus a kingdra with sniper and scope lens is very deadly if it gets a crititcal...

Me too! :D I totally forgot about that typing, it's sad how I used to love Kingdra that much. :(

I prefer Kingdra with Swift Swim, it's my Politoed's trusty partner. :D

For the next few days I will be going into my Gen 3 games to breed a shiny Water Type. The question is which one. So I am taking a poll that will close in 11 hours. First poll is which generation Pokemon. I will move the Pokemon to Emerald to clone and share one with you guys. They will not be trained.
Gen 1, Gen 2, or Gen 3.
I will NOT breed Gen 4 or Gen 5 Pokemon.
