Money was an issue for me at the beginning of Pokémon Y, but throughout the end, though, it wasn't. I was able to earn dozens of mushroom from the restaurants at Lumoise, and by selling them, I got to make a lot of cash. Thank god that these restaurants exist. If they didn't, then I'm not sure what I'd do… I would be quite frustrated. xD

Excepting my playthrough of X, I rarely buy things from the Poké Mart. I usually save up my money until the E4/Champion battles, where I spam my bag with Revives, Hyper Potions, and Full Heals (even then, I only use around ten of each at most). Post game I usually stick to buying Ultra Balls, unless I'm doing a challenge/replay where I don't plan on catching them all. If it weren't for the custom outfits in XY, I would probably have 999,999 dollars (or whatever the limit is).

I always called the money Poké because that's just what I came up with when I first played the games. What's annoying about the name is that it has never been brought up in the anime (at least not that I can think of) so no one knows what it's called.

I call it poké too, but because that's what they call the currency in the PMD series. I know it's a different world, but it's the closest we get to an official name to my knowledge.

And money is not a problem for me in X/Y. Because I'm a cheapskate and a hoarder. :P Pretty much the only things I buy are poké balls, quick balls, and clothes (and not even all that many clothes either). And I make it a point to work at Hotel Richissme every day just for the cash I don't really need, haha! My OCD tendencies at work, I guess.

Yeah I usually am pretty greedy in the games too xD I sell stuff like X Attack and anything I don't really use or need. And buy Full Restore and Revive and pokéballs instead.

Anyways, Christmas is very soon (today it's Lucia in my country~). Are you planning on wishing for or giving away anything pokémon related for Christmas gifts? :3

I have a habit of not spending my Pokemoney until I really really need it. If I run out of potions or Pokeballs, then I wait till I reach the next town, or if I'm nearby the previous town then I go there instead.

& I have plans on buying my irl friend Pokemon X (i'm buying two soon, one for me and one for him), so that way when I buy my 3DS, we'll be able to play together and stuff~

I don't think there will be any Pokémon related presents for any of my family this Christmas, but when my nephew gets a little older I will spam him with Pokémon gifts >:3
I don't need anything Pokémon related (although I wouldn't mind some TCG boosters) and neither myself nor my family has any idea of what presents to gift to me haha. I'm planning on hosting a Pokémon anime stream a few days before Christmas, so that should be fun :D

The only things I really asked for were Pokémon Y and a 3DS XL. I was with my dad yesterday, and he bought me Pokémon Y because I assumed my mom didn't because we're kind of struggling with money? I come home to find out that my mom had already ordered it, so we need to return the one my dad bought for me, lol. But hey, at least I also managed to grab the X/Y guidebook, too! :D

Been so long since I touched my old pokémon cards... I used to love them. Like, ten years ago.

Oh, let us know so that we can maybe join in! You organizing it through the Anime section or just by yourself?

So you almost got two, haha, so lucky.

I doubt I'd get a 3DS from my family even if I wished for it :p They want me to spend my money on better things. But by wishing for it I wouldn't spend my own money soooo their logic fails :]]]] eheh.

Haha, I kind of wish I could keep both, so for one game I could keep as an original file while the other cartridge I could restart as much as I want for challenges and stuff like nuzlockes, same-type teams, etc. That was actually the reason why I wanted Y, too; so I could have a sixth gen game to use for nuzlockes while I keep the original file on X. I wanted a new 3DS so that I could do a normal play-through for Y, then trade all the important Pokémon I need over to X, then restart Y as much as I want! I wanted the XL because bigger screens, lol.

I never really thought of buying both versions when I buy a new Pokemon game. I plan to do some trading when I get my own copy so I guess both versions would work great :D

& ahh Pokemon caaards. I still have my awesome Meganium tin with 200 or so cards that I collect. :3

Well, I've never owned two versions of the same game. Seems kind of redundant to me, unless it's Ruby/Emerald or Pearl/Platinum I guess. Maybe even Red/Yellow because Pikachu and slight colors :P

I always tend to get all main versions of a generation, the only ones from Generations 3-5 I've never played were FireRed and LeafGreen. There is a benefit to getting both paired versions, it can help with trading version exclusives.

Yeah, you got a pretty good point there...yet I kinda hate how there's version-exclusive Pokemon out there. S__S But it encourages me to use the trading method though! :3

Its also super easy with Pokebank to get both versions and trade like crazy between em. Buy one digital one physical, and boom, you have a trade racket going. Starters, legendaries, the works! Sucks about the new update with Miiverse on the 3DS and the region lock, you can't exploit for Vivillions now...

Just like Hikari, I always end up getting both versions of a game, one way or another. :b Some may call it a waste of money, but still.

I've always just picked up one of the 2/3 games out of each set (Gold, Sapphire, FireRed, Platinum, HeartGold, White, White 2, Y). I guess there's the argument that you can trade for version exclusives between them, but that usually means having another system, too. Plus, I've never seen it as a huge deal if I can't complete the Pokedex on my games, so I don't mind if I miss out on the Pokemon opposite of my own game's.

Completing the Pokédex is such a hassle, in my opinion. Last time I ever tried doing it was in my final run of Pokémon Emerald. I was extremely close to completion, but unfortunately, couldn't get it done in the end. Feebas and Milotic were all the Pokémon left for me to get a hold of, but regardless of how hard I tried, I just couldn't get them. One of my friends offered to give me her own Milotic, but wasn't able to as none of us had link-cable at that time. ):

Never completed the pokedex ever. I think I was very very close to it in White, all I needed left were the legendaries, but those were really hard to obtain. Probably needed to...idk...RNG or something? xD

I used to buy all of the versions until HG/SS. Since those games were released, I've only bought one from each set. Version exclusives can be obtained from the GTS or transferred from older games. Legendaries are the only problem. I was fortunate enough to get an event Reshiram in my White Version, but Yveltal isn't going to be easy for me...

Completing the Pokédex is something that I struggle with. The only two occasions when I have completed a Pokédex was the Regional Dex from Platinum and the Regional Dex from Emerald. Every time that I have attempted to complete the Regional Dex, I always end up with five or less Pokémon and lose interest :(

I will be streaming from the official streaming channel of Pokémon Anime. I plan on doing it on Sunday, Dec. 22, so be sure to check the Streaming Thread on that day! I found an old DVD with all of these Pikachu's Winter Vacation episodes, so I thought, "Why not stream it for the holidays?"
