Not gonna lie, I've seen that game...and it actually looks good. I wouldn't buy it myself, but generally games of that nature are very half-assed and bare minimum, but that one actually looks pretty impressive, even for people not interested in the genre.

The textures of the clothes are just... breath taking. You'd think it'd be crappy and stretched (some are, but hardly) but it is soooo impressive, it's absolutely gorgeous. Plus all of the new hairstyles, make up, brands.... it's just SO FUN!! :D

Yawn-uh is such a perfect name for Aeris.

On a similar note, they recently added FFVIII to the steam store, and I've been playing that.
Always was my favorite FF game, despite a lot of people disliking it.

Ive been getting more and more into Tiberian Sun lately since they made CnC Net 5, a program that lets you play the really old C&C games online with others, and they did a great job reviving the old games.

Don't wanna sound like an ass, but I'm seeing loads of "I've been playing" posts here when there's a thread for games you're currently playing already.

Knowing IGN, I honestly think somehow Bioshock is gonna get it. I dunno why, I just feel like they're gonna do something like that.

GTAV, calling it. Most other big video game journalism sites went with that or TLOU (I don't get this one?). I don't think 3D World won a single GOTY now that I think about which is a damn shame.

I'm just saying. I noticed this before you asked the question and it's pretty annoying.

I couldn't care less to mini-mod and it's not my intention, just saying that there's already a thread about games you played. I'm sure people here are looking to have a discussion, and not really to know what someone else played last night. Like I said, I don't wanna sound like an ass, but I feel it's detracting the thread.

Hm...well, to be honest, I actually think it better to discuss that stuff here. In the "Currently Playing" thread, people just list what they're playing and go on about their business. Here, though, we have actual discussions, constructive or otherwise, about what we're playing and topics related to those games.

And I think that that's why people post that stuff here, either subconsciously or with full intention. People know that this is where the most discussion takes place, so by mentioning what they're playing they can get other people's thoughts and views on it, but the thread dedicated to it is more of a log type deal, and people go into it knowing that there really won't be much discussion there, if any, but they still want their games mentioned or noted for one reason or another.

I'd agree with you if it's a recently released game, but a random one? I don't really see the merit, since it'll only be by chance that someone here would have actually played that game or like to discuss it, moreso since there's not many of us here.

Right now, looking at a whole list of random games people you don't know are playing isn't something most would do unless people are willing to get a discussion out of it.

Oh, I agree wholeheartedly that the other thread should prompt discussion since, and the few times that I've posted on there have mostly been for the sake of that. I understand why people post there, but I feel that it currently feels very personal, more like something that one would put on their profile than a thread dedicated to what's being played.

And people do comment on the games they're playing, sometimes, but rarely does it ever prompt a response from anyone whereas, in this thread for example, the same comments would prompt a discussion. This is sad, because there is incredible potential for discussion in the thread, and I really see little reason to have such a log-type thread (if only because viewers will generally just look over the listed games maybe once and go about their business).

I agree with this, but i dont think this will work out at all. Looking at the posts from different people (including me) its mostly just listing what they have played and on what platform. Id love to see some discussion in that thread, but its just way too unlikely to see it happen.

Last night my sister (Dice) and her precious Fuzzy Bunny (ShadowE) got into Tiberian Sun Online. >_> And again, I am really jealous, I want a online game which I can play with Nathan which is pure strategy. So, guys, got any idea's of a strategy game (good enough for a crappy laptop) for me and my mates to play? I'm desperate here. :C
