Is there a way for scyther or scizor to learn bug bite? If not is there a good move to replace it that could take advatage of its technication ability?
Bug Bite is a HeartGold/SoulSilver/Black 2/White 2 tutor move. The only way for Scyther or Scizor to have Bug Bite in Gen VI is to use Poke Transfer (which isn't even out yet in North America and Europe). X-Scissor is an acceptable substitute until another Bug Bite tutor is available in Gen VI.
The solution here is keep the Giratina, but only use it in its Origin Form, so you have a better ability since it can only have Levitate in that form (which should override the useless Telepathy).

Huh, forgot about that. Still, I'd trade it because of the less-than-ideal IVs.

Yeah I do. Serebii confirmed that shiny rates have dropped to somewhere in the 4000's instead of 8192.
In the Friend Safari it is believed that the shiny chances are 1/2000 and if you are online, and you are in the safari of a person who is also online, the shiny chances are 1/1000. (I don't know if this part is accurate, it is just what i've heard.)

Even if the shiny encounter rate is 1/1000 (and we have no indication that's true), those are still terrible odds. A .001% chance sucks really hard, IMO. Reminds me of hunting for legendary weapons and armor in PSO *shudders*...like that friggin' Spread Needle.

Is there some cheat or easy way to get 5 IV pokemon? I got 3 pokemon ALL with 31/31/31/31/x/31 IV spreads and just assumed (before I started breeding) that they did that soft reset reject/accept thing so that every time you accept an egg it is the same spread as the one before it. (although after I started breeding I found out that didn't work) yet I ended up getting 4 more 5 IV pokemon and they also ALL had the same 31/31/31/31/x/31 spread, so is there some technique that I never heard about or something to ALWAYS get that spread? (the first 3 were from teh same person, but the subsequent 4 were all from different people)

I'm not sure if you've heard of/are referring to the RNG technique or not. https://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=312140

Still, 5 IV Pokemon with the same spread should not be that rare.

Would it still be possible for me to breed a Growlithe w/ Close Combat if the father is a Growlithe/Arcanine? I don't want to bother getting the ability capsule to change my Adamant Growlithe's, which I got from Wonder Trade, ability to Intimidate.

Not really a simple question, just seeking maybe some good advice.

So I want to complete the pokedex, all I need are the poke bank legends, which are obviously the most painful and hardest things to get.
I really want the shiny charm now, and I have 2 choices to pick here:
Offer some shinies/Mewtwo/Phiones up for trade and hope for the best or trade a Shiny Lugia I got over the GTS (which I really don't want to let go, but I can live with it if it happens). So, which should I choose?
I just need the dex entries of the legends so once I get one, I'll trade it around to get the rest.
Sorry if this is an inappropriate question.

    Thanks in advance.

Since you don't want to let go off your shiny Lugia, I think you should probably go along with the first choice. If you have no problem trading your Lugia, though, then you should probably try to clone it and put the duplicate on GTS. Cloning might be possible in X/Y, but I'm not exactly sure how it's done though, so I, unfortunately, cannot help you with that. :[ There may be guides on other websites--try looking them up on Google. If the guides don't work, then I don't know... maybe the latest update fixed this glitch?

Critical Captures. Does calculation depend on the number of pokemon in your PC, the number of pokemon "caught" in your Pokedex (therefore capped at 718ish), or the number of pokemon you officially caught with your own with your own pokeballs (meaning breeding doesn't count)?

    [This] may answer your question.

Yes. The mother Growlithe can also pass down Close Combat.

Maybe a stupid question but I'm having trouble with the online trading system since the last game I owned was pokemon gold (bought pokemon x for that nostalgic feeling and it's still fun).

If I find someone on this forum to trade with, how can I find them in-game. Do I need to add them on my friends list because I can't find an option to search for players.

You need to add their Friend Code to your 3DS friends (the smiley icon on the home menu) and they need to add your FC too. Then you go to the Player Search System screen in your game and they should appear there the next time they are online.

Feel free to add me if you need any help :)

I'm trying to catch a Relicanth for my Coastal Pokedex, I'm using a Super Rod in the water in Ambrette Town.
I'm having no luck, is this how you catch Relicanth or is there an easier way or do you have to surf...?
    Please help :)

You can fish for Relicanth with a Super Rod, yes, in Ambrette Town or Cyllage City. I guess you're just having some tough luck, serebii is listing as "common". Good luck!

[edit] Try making sure you're in Ambrette though, and you haven't accidentally gone too far into Route 8.

    Is gible rare?

Is Gible rare in route 13 in pokemon y? Because I found 2 and thanks to my trollish luck I failed to lower the hp of both of them...

Thanks heaps I worked out that I had gone up too high and was fishing in Route 8, I went further down to Ambrette Town and got a Relicanth first go. Thankyou once again. :)

Not particularly. I remember when I was heading through there, every second dust ball was a gible for me. You can check Bulbapedia.net for the relative rarity of each pokemon on every route

I did indeed check bulbapedia but the rarity was unknown, well I guess it's a matter of luck. Thanks for the assistance ;)
