I was playing beta 7 and while i was fighting Jessie and James for the first time the game glitched badly and gave me a bad egg(that was fainted) randomly.

Unfortunately, as I learned through this thread, as I've never read the Manga myself, Red never gets the HM for Fly. Even more unfortunately, unlike Emerald and Ruby, there doesn't seem to be a working cheat for accessing the fly map, at least that I can see. Now, I haven't tried it, but you MIGHT be able to use cheats to BUY the HM for Fly, if you are really that desperate...here's a link to what I used to cheat myself some Max Repels early on (I ran into a rare glitch on the SS Anne and wanted to speed up my second playthrough). http://www.supercheats.com/gameboyadvance/walkthroughs/pokemonfirered-walkthrough04.txt

If that doesn't work, guess you'll have to walk like the rest of us. ;p If you've never used cheats before, don't forget the master code, which is also in the guide that I linked. Hope this helps!

I'm about 95% sure that it'll be fine. As I learned from the game (never read the Manga), Red also used a Snorlax and Gyarados that you get through the game. I didn't use them because I didn't want to and didn't think it would matter, and they later appeared in a cutscene despite that. So, it clearly didn't matter. I HIGHLY recommend using the Poliwhirl, however, since the Poliwhirl and Poliwrath have greatly increased stats! It's up to you in the end, though!

P.S. If you are where I think you are, careful saving on the SS Anne. Myself and a few others have run into glitches there that could break your game, specifically near one sailor. I recommend that you save off the boat and keep a backup of that save.

Nope, it won't glitch. The scene would just play out differently.
For example, the LtSurge underwater scene would only be playable if you have Poliwhirl with you, if you don't, you'll just battle lt.Surge normally.

Despite what other people have said, you don't need to evolve Poliwhirl to progress the game. In the underwater scene, you can choose not to evolve it, and then you would transport up.

If you don't have certain pokemon for a scene, then that POKEMON wouldn't appear in the scene but the game would still go by as normal.

Alright, so I'm almost done with the hack, and I loved it! :D I thought I'd post a couple minor glitches in the postgame though, so I could help out. None were gamebreaking or even particularly important, but I thought I'd do it anyway. Don't worry, no one-pixel out of place glitches, herp-derp! ;)

Beware, this post may get long, since I'm gonna post screenshots. Sorry in advance!

1.

When you talk to Misty in her house, the game freezes. Same goes for her Starmie. I know that Misty can be found different places and different times, but I don't know if she still freezes the game then.

2.

There's still a rocket here in mount moon. Not even remotely an issue, but I thought I'd point it out.

3.

These two people in Silph Co don't have any text appear when you talk to them. Again, very minor, but who knows what funny jokes we may have missed due to this! Could they be song lyrics? Or someone else with dumb complaints? WE MAY NEVER KNOW!!! :p

4.

This one is a two-for-one special! First, when I checked all the houses' signs, they all said "Greg and Name" on them. Greg was still married to Kent, at least. Secondly, and I think this might have already been brought to your attention, but when you enter Joy's house, some odd stuff happens, including the sound of a telaport (and the last time I entered, but only the last time, an actual teleport) and the game freezing. I didn't want to get Greg and her together anyway, cause she's a ♥♥♥♥♥, but I figure others may want the option. :p

These last two don't have screenshots, 'cause they were too far from Celadon City and I didn't want to trek all the way back to Indigo and Pallet.

5. At the Indigo League, Green, Blue, and Oak are still there on stage, saying what they did after you won. The people in the stands still say things indicating you've already become champion, but not them. Very, very minor, but odd enough that I thought it worth mentioning.

6. This last one isn't actually a glitch persay, but more of a continuity error. When you talk to Ash's mom in the house in Pallet, she introduces herself to you, as if you had never met. Furthermore, when you talk to her in places like Celadon, her dialogue hasn't changed. Those bits don't really need to change, but she should at least stop introducing herself after stalking you on your journey all this time.

And that's it for now! If I find anymore postgame glitches, I'll edit them into this post. Hope this helps!

So, this was here before I beat the game, but I was too lazy to report it and forgot about it. :3 Anyway, there's another "me" who just stands there, says what he says about cut, and that's it. He's not breaking the game or anything; it's just weird. Is he supposed to be there, like the cosplayers in Celadon? I doubt it.

Just a simple text error. She starts to repeat herself, but that's all she says.

Odd text error that shows up. Showed up before beating the game too. Not game-breaking or important, but as before, thought you ought to know.

Welp, I'm off to do the last bit of postgame/Orange Islands that are in the game right now, so unless there's a significant glitch on the way worth reporting, I'm pretty much done. I know some of these things I reported weren't particularly important, so I want to be clear that I'm not whining about them or demanding they be fixed. I'd prefer my attempt at helping out not end up with me being a herp-derp in your game. Good luck with 7.5!

You don't have to, I have a Politoed in my play through team, I'd recommend Poliwrath though because his stats are far superior in this game

Need help with Cinnabar island. I'm to the part after you battle to moltres and Blaine sends you to his secret lab and you see Mewtwo. What am I supposed to do next.

Also I still need help finding Floral City and I know it's north of Celadon. I can't figure out how to get north of Celadon

About Blaine, i found this on beta 7 too, he stays there after beating the Moltres with Aerodactyl

@Jaymez you need to find the secret lab in the island just explore a bit and revive Aerodactyl then fight Moltres

Go to Celadon you will find a place with water were Green used her wartortle to escape from you, use surf there and go up

Just explore the forest every time you find her she will appear at different places inside the forest rest will happen in cutscenes

Talk to Sabrina and the Event continues. If you've got more than 4 pokemon in your team head back inside to the PC to make room for blue's charizard and green's blastoise, and then head back outside and talk to Sabrina again. This must solve the problem.

I doubt he'll put Lugia there, because Lugia plays an enormous at the end pf the G/S/C chapter.
